Chemistry home tutor in Firozabad: physical, organic and inorganic kept moving together

Senior chemistry is really three subjects sharing one textbook. Physical chemistry is numericals, where a lost power of ten wipes out a whole answer. Organic chemistry is a web of conversions that only sticks once a student can trace one compound into the next. Inorganic chemistry is trends and exceptions, which have to be explained with a reason, not just recalled. Most students in Firozabad lean on one branch and let the others drift until the pre-boards. A home tutor keeps all three in the week, and checks that answers read the way a UP Board, CBSE or ISC examiner expects. Tell us the board, the class and your locality; a shortlist of two or three chemistry tutors follows, fees shown, and the first lesson with the one you pick is a free demo.

How does chemistry change between the board paper and the entrance tests?

The chapters overlap almost completely. The question style and the marking do not, so a student facing two of these papers in one year needs a tutor who plans for both.

Chemistry in the papers Firozabad's senior students sit: its size in each, the format, and what earns marks
PaperSize and formatWhat earns marks
UP Board, Class 12 (Intermediate)Seven questions for 70 marks, rising from single-mark options to parts worth fiveComplete written working; numericals make up 8 marks or more
CBSE, Class 12 (subject 043)Theory 70 in five sections, practical 30Equations that balance, reasons given in words, tidy calculations
NEET (UG), as set in 2026On paper; chemistry is 45 questions of 180, worth 180 of 720Reactions and NCERT statements recalled word for word
JEE Main, Paper 1 in 202625 chemistry items, five of them numerical and twenty with optionsPhysical-chemistry problems in several steps; routes between compounds

In 2026 both NTA tests gave four marks for a right answer and took one away for a wrong one; the next pattern is known only when the new bulletin appears. Two posts help decide where the extra hours go: one on the chapters that matter for NEET chemistry, and one on JEE chemistry across its three branches. Our NEET chemistry tutor page and Firozabad NEET home tutors page explain matching.

What does the UP Board Class 12 chemistry paper look like?

The UP Board's Intermediate chemistry syllabus sets a paper of 70 marks in seven questions. Question 1 is six one-mark multiple-choice items, and the questions after it step up through two, three, four and five marks per part. Numerical questions must make up at least 8 marks, so physical chemistry cannot be left to luck.

Three things follow when you pick a tutor. Teaching should happen in the medium of the answer sheet, with the textbook's Hindi terms where the paper uses them. Practice papers should be the UP Board's own, since its website publishes model papers and a question bank for Intermediate students. And practical work should be planned from the first term; for the current Class 12 practical scheme, look on upmsp.edu.in. Our UP Board tutors in Firozabad page covers the other Intermediate subjects.

Which Class 11 units carry the most UP Board marks?

For 2026-27, Class 11 chemistry has a three-hour theory paper of 70 and a practical exam of 30. The theory paper has a fixed shape. It opens with six single-mark options. Questions 2 and 3 each hold four parts of two marks, question 4 has four three-mark parts and question 5 four four-mark parts, and questions 6 and 7 each have two parts worth five. Numericals again fill at least 8 marks. By weight, the units fall into four groups:

  • 10 each: basic principles and techniques of organic chemistry; hydrocarbons.
  • 8 each: structure of the atom; equilibrium.
  • 7 each: redox reactions; chemical bonding with molecular structure; periodic classification; the opening chapter of basic concepts.
  • 6: thermodynamics, the lightest unit.

The mole, equilibrium and the basics of organic reasoning return in Class 12 as solutions, electrochemistry and conversions, and they sit under every entrance question too. Mending them in Class 11 takes one term; leaving them costs far more later. See the Class 11 chemistry tutor page.

How are the CBSE Class 12 chemistry marks spread?

CBSE gives every chapter a fixed share of the 70 theory marks, which makes its 2026-27 list a ready planning sheet. Here it is grouped by branch:

CBSE Class 12 chemistry, 2026-27: the ten theory chapters grouped by branch, with marks out of 70
Branch (total)Chapters and marks
Organic (33)Aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids 8; biomolecules 7; haloalkanes and haloarenes 6; alcohols, phenols and ethers 6; amines 6
Physical (23)Electrochemistry 9; solutions 7; chemical kinetics 7
Inorganic (14)The d- and f-block elements 7; coordination compounds 7

With organic at almost half the paper, conversions deserve the largest slice of each week, and physical numericals the next. Five sections, A to E, make up the paper, some questions carry an internal choice, and neither calculators nor log tables are permitted. Roughly two-fifths of the marks test recall and understanding; the remainder test application, analysis and evaluation. For chapter-level help, read our guide to Class 12 organic and inorganic chemistry; a board-year plan is on the Class 12 chemistry tutor page.

Which topics has CBSE dropped or handed to the school?

This session CBSE has removed two pieces entirely: the solid state chapter, and the p-block from Group 15 to Group 18. Polymers, surface chemistry, chemistry in everyday life and the isolation of elements are still taught, but they are assessed in school rather than in the board paper.

Treat that as a board-revision list and nothing more. NTA writes the entrance syllabus separately, so the later p-block groups, for instance, may still be asked in JEE or NEET. Compare with the NTA syllabus before your child sets a chapter aside.

How should a home chemistry lesson be spent?

Tuition helps most when it trails school by a few days and makes the week's teaching stick, instead of running ahead of it. A single visit can carry four short pieces:

  1. Explain it back. With the book shut, your child tells the tutor what school covered; weak spots show within minutes.
  2. One numerical, out loud. A problem from solutions, kinetics or electrochemistry, solved while the tutor follows each line. Marks usually leak at a unit or an exponent.
  3. The conversion chart. One page linking alcohols, aldehydes and ketones, acids and amines, redrawn from memory and checked against NCERT until every arrow makes sense.
  4. Two written reasons. A pair of "give reasons" answers in board style, marked before the tutor leaves.

Inorganic chapters suit quick spoken quizzes from the NCERT text, with "why does the trend go this way?" asked every time. For NEET, the textbook's own wording is often the answer the paper wants.

Can practical marks be worked on at home?

Much of the reasoning, yes. CBSE's 30 practical marks are volumetric analysis 8, salt analysis 8, an experiment linked to theory 6, the project 4, and the record with the viva 4. This session's titration uses potassium permanganate against oxalic acid or Mohr's salt, and each student weighs the solid and makes up the standard solution alone. UP Board Class 11 students sit a separate practical exam worth 30.

With just a notebook, a tutor can practise the molarity sum for a weighed sample, set out a tidy burette-reading table, rehearse the order of tests in salt analysis, and ask the viva questions examiners return to, such as why permanganate needs no separate indicator.

What should you tell a chemistry tutor about your locality?

Six localities on the north and west side and in the centre show what to send in advance. All localities are on our Firozabad page.

  • Dakhal. Between the roads to Jalesar and Kotla. Give the smaller colony name first and then Dakhal. Lessons a while after school, rather than straight after, tend to go better for a tired Class 11 student.
  • Tapa Kalan. Also shown as Tapa Kala, beside Dakhal on the north edge. Send the colony name, house number and a well-known shop or crossing; weekend mornings suit revision before school tests.
  • Vibhav Nagar. Near the start of Jalesar Road, also spelt Vibhab Nagar. A gali number and an easy-to-spot shop on Jalesar Road bring the tutor straight in.
  • Suhag Nagar. Spread along the old highway towards Agra, with lanes behind the main road. Name the lane and the crossing where the tutor should turn, and choose a time after the evening rush.
  • Rahna. Also written Rehna, on the north-west side near Nagla Bhao. Homes are found by landmark, so share a map pin; in winter, daylight hours are easier for the tutor.
  • Gandhi Nagar. Central, so tutors from most of the city can reach it and families can be choosy about chemistry depth. Give the gali and house number, and ask whether the tutor sets chapter tests.

Close to the pre-boards, swapping a visit for an online lesson on a difficult evening keeps revision on track. For more local tips, read the Gandhi Nagar and City Centre zone page.

Does an ISC, IB or IGCSE student need a different chemistry tutor?

  • ISC: CISCE marks practical and project work as well as the theory paper, and good answers explain the chemistry instead of repeating a textbook line.
  • IB Diploma: taught at SL and HL around two themes, structure and reactivity. The internal investigation must be the student's own; a tutor can only question and prompt.
  • Cambridge IGCSE: entry at Core or Extended; if you are weighing boards, read how Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE compare.

Often, yes, and few local teachers handle these courses, so name the course in your first message. Many families pair a specialist who teaches online with a nearby tutor who checks practice.

What does a chemistry home tutor in Firozabad charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets the rate, and it is on your shortlist before the demo. To compare, ask what share of a week goes to entrance-style problems and what share to board answers, and who will look after the practical file. The Firozabad home tuition fees guide lists more.

What should you send us for a chemistry shortlist?

Send the class, the board, any entrance exam in view, the weakest branch (physical, organic or inorganic), the medium of the answer sheet, your locality with a landmark, and the evenings that are free. A list of two or three chemistry tutors comes back with fees, and you choose one for the free demo. A tutor who does not suit is replaced by the next one for a second demo, and a change later is free. When the hour you need is beyond every nearby tutor, we say so and arrange online or mixed lessons. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works).

Chemistry students often need physics or biology help in the same year. The national chemistry home tutor page explains how matching works, and nearby families can compare chemistry tutors in Agra. Chemistry teachers who live in Firozabad can find families on the Firozabad tuition jobs page; joining is free.

Chemistry Home Tutor in Firozabad: common questions

What is the hourly fee for a chemistry home tutor in Firozabad?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Chemistry tutors in Firozabad set their own rates, and you see each one before the free demo, so you can also ask how practical preparation will be handled.

How do I request a chemistry home tutor in Firozabad?

Tell us the class, board, any entrance exam in view, the weakest branch, the language of the answer sheet, your locality with a landmark and the free evenings. We send two or three chemistry tutors with fees, and you choose one for a free demo. If no nearby tutor can come at your hour, we arrange online lessons.

How is UP Board Class 12 chemistry set for Firozabad students?

The UP Board Intermediate chemistry paper carries 70 marks in seven questions, starting with six one-mark multiple-choice items and rising to five-mark parts. Numerical questions make up at least 8 marks, so physical chemistry cannot be skipped. The current Class 12 practical scheme is published on upmsp.edu.in, so check it there early in the session.

Which Class 11 chemistry units carry the most UP Board marks?

The two organic units carry the most, 10 marks each, in the UP Board 2026-27 Class 11 chemistry paper: basic principles and techniques, and hydrocarbons. Structure of the atom and equilibrium bring 8 each, four units bring 7 each, and thermodynamics 6. The three-hour theory paper is worth 70, with a 30-mark practical exam.

Which branch of CBSE Class 12 chemistry has the most marks?

Organic chemistry carries the most, 33 of the 70 theory marks in CBSE Class 12 for 2026-27. Physical chemistry carries 23 and inorganic 14. Electrochemistry is the single largest chapter at 9. That makes organic conversions the biggest weekly task, followed by physical numericals, with no calculator or log table allowed in the hall.

Can my child skip the p-block groups CBSE has removed if NEET or JEE is planned?

No, check the NTA syllabus first, because NTA sets the entrance syllabus separately from CBSE. For 2026-27 CBSE has removed the solid state and Groups 15 to 18 of the p-block, but those topics may still appear in JEE or NEET. Use the board list only for board revision.

What should a home chemistry lesson include each week?

A useful home chemistry lesson has four short parts that keep all three branches moving. Your child recaps the school chapter aloud, solves one numerical while the tutor watches, rebuilds a conversion chart from memory, and writes two board-style reason answers that are marked on the spot. Inorganic chapters suit quick oral quizzes from the NCERT text, always asking why a trend runs the way it does.

What should families in Suhag Nagar tell a chemistry tutor?

Name the lane behind the old highway, the house number and the crossing where the tutor should turn in, because Suhag Nagar is spread out along the road towards Agra. The nearest tutor may live in Mahaveer Nagar or Rahna. A time after the evening rush makes regular weekday lessons easier to keep.

How can a chemistry tutor help with practicals outside the school lab?

A tutor can prepare most of the thinking behind practicals with only a notebook. CBSE gives 8 marks each to volumetric and salt analysis, 6 to a theory-linked experiment, 4 to the project and 4 to record and viva. Molarity working, burette tables, salt-analysis steps and viva answers can all be rehearsed at home.
