Firozabad Home Tuition Guide: Jalesar Road, Suhag Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Tilak Nagar and Asafabad

By NXTutors Academic Team 11 min read

Firozabad lies in western Uttar Pradesh, on the old NH 2 between Agra and Shikohabad, with the Yamuna to its south. The district's history page records its ancient name as Chandwar Nagar, and the present name dates from the sixteenth century; and the town became a municipal corporation in 2014. For home tuition, its homes fall into five groups: the north side between the Jalesar and Kotla roads, the west along the road to Agra, the central lanes around Gandhi Nagar, the south side towards the railway line, and the east around Asafabad. This guide walks through all eighteen localities, one by one.

Reference points a Firozabad tutor will know

Most tutors here travel by two-wheeler, so a known reference point beats a long postal address. Four lines help place almost any home:

  • The old NH 2. It crosses Firozabad from the north-west, the Agra and Delhi side, and leaves towards the south-east.
  • The railway line. Firozabad station is on the Delhi–Kanpur section of the Howrah–Delhi main line, and the line runs along the south side of the city.
  • The Jalesar and Kotla roads. Both fan out from the north of the city, one towards Jalesar in the north-west and the other towards Kotla in the north-east.
  • The canal road. A city road follows the Firozabad Distributary canal from near Kakrau in the north-west, around the northern and eastern edge, to Asafabad in the south-east.

Jalesar Road and Kotla Road

The largest zone here spreads between the two country roads that leave the city northwards. Older family houses stand beside newer colonies, and many homes carry a colony name as well as the locality name.

Vibhav Nagar: near the start of Jalesar Road, next to Sarswati Nagar. Property sites spell it Vibhab Nagar, so use whichever spelling is on your gate and add a map pin. If a younger and an older child both need help, say whether one tutor should see both.

Sarswati Nagar: a residential colony beside Vibhav Nagar, also written Saraswati Nagar. The step from Class 8 to Class 9, when science divides into three subjects, is a common reason families here start looking. Lead the address with the house number.

Dakhal: between the Jalesar and Kotla roads, often written with the name of a smaller colony inside it. Write the colony first and Dakhal second. Class 11 stream choice is a good moment to rethink the tuition plan, since science and commerce need very different help.

Tapa Kalan: on the north edge beside Dakhal, shown on some sites as Tapa Kala. One of the older names on this side, with newer colonies around it. Families with children at two different stages can ask for one tutor with two slots, or two tutors.

Kakrau: on the far north-west, where the canal road begins. Say which side of the canal road you live on, and in winter ask for a slot that ends before dark.

Suhag Nagar and Agra Road

The west side follows the old NH 2 out towards Agra and Delhi. Homes face the highway or the lanes behind it, and the nearest crossing tells a tutor more than a street name.

Suhag Nagar: a large, mixed residential area on the highway. Because it is spread out, the closest tutor may live in Mahaveer Nagar or Rahna rather than in your own lane. Name the crossing where the tutor should turn off the main road.

Mahaveer Nagar: beside Suhag Nagar on NH 2, nearer the centre, also written Mahavir Nagar. Many families here look for one tutor who can take two related subjects, such as physics with maths, to keep the number of visitors down. Ask for that in your request.

Rahna: on the north-west side near Nagla Bhao, also written Rehna. An older village core with newer homes around it, where houses are found by a lane, a crossing or a shop rather than a street. Wait at the lane corner on the first visit, or send a map pin.

Gandhi Nagar and City Centre

The centre is the easiest zone to reach from anywhere in Firozabad, which widens the choice for senior subjects. The lanes are narrow and close together, so give exact numbers and say where a two-wheeler can stand.

Gandhi Nagar: near the main crossings of the city. With so many tutors able to come, families can ask for real subject depth, such as a tutor who has taught the Intermediate or CBSE course for your child's stream. Early slots after school, or weekend mornings, are calmer.

Arya Nagar: a compact neighbourhood beside Gandhi Nagar. The exact lane matters more than the area name. Families here often ask for English writing help for a child moving from Hindi-medium to English-medium schooling.

Nai Basti: just south of the centre, towards the railway side. The name means new settlement, but it is long-settled today. Name a landmark the tutor can see from the main road before turning into your lane. Shorter sessions on four or five days suit many younger children here.

Tilak Nagar and Rasulpur

The south side lies between the centre and the railway line, and on towards the Yamuna side of the outskirts. Rasulpur is one of the old village names on whose land the city was built.

Tilak Nagar: a settled residential area between the centre and the railway line, with lanes linking towards Rasulpur and Ram Nagar. If a poor test result has shaken your child's confidence, share the marked paper so the tutor can go back to the real gap.

Ram Nagar: near Rasulpur, also written Ramnagar. Many cities have a Ram Nagar, so always add Firozabad and a nearby colony such as Shyam Nagar. Name Hindi grammar or Sanskrit in the request if you need them, since not every tutor teaches them.

Rasulpur: also spelt Rasoolpur, on the south-east side of the zone. Addresses usually include a gali number, which is the quickest way to the door.

Gazipur: on the southern outskirts with village roots. Write Gazipur, not Ghazipur, and send a map pin so a tutor does not search for the district of that name. Fewer tutors live here, so pairing a nearby home tutor with an online class for English or a senior science subject is common.

Asafabad and Madina Colony

The east side runs from the edge of the centre out to the south-east corner of the city. The story of the city's sixteenth-century founding begins at the village of Asafabad. Homes are mostly family houses on lanes known by block or gali number.

Asafabad: also written Asfabad, at the south-east corner where the canal road ends and the old highway runs on east. Name a crossing on the highway side, and ask the tutor to message when they set out. Children with long school days here often do better with short, focused classes.

Madina Colony: between the centre and Asafabad. Give the block or gali and the house number first; that is the first thing a tutor will ask. One tutor for maths, science and English in Classes 6 to 8, with a specialist added in Class 9 or 11, is a common plan.

Jagdamba Nagar: to the north-east of the centre. Families here often have children at two or three school stages at once, so ask whether one tutor can take two children back to back. Add a landmark and a map pin to the address.

Spellings to put in every request

Several names here are written more than one way. Writing both forms saves a tutor a wasted search:

  • Vibhav Nagar or Vibhab Nagar; Sarswati Nagar or Saraswati Nagar; Tapa Kalan or Tapa Kala.
  • Mahaveer Nagar or Mahavir Nagar; Rahna or Rehna.
  • Asafabad or Asfabad; Rasulpur or Rasoolpur; Ram Nagar or Ramnagar.
  • Gazipur in Firozabad, not the district of Ghazipur.

Boards, mediums and subject pages

Three boards cover most Firozabad classrooms: the UP Board, CBSE and the CISCE (ICSE for Class 10, ISC for Class 12). Teaching may be in Hindi, in English, or a blend. The UP Board's formal name is the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad; it runs the High School examination at the end of Class 10 and the Intermediate examination at the end of Class 12, and upmsp.edu.in carries its syllabus and model papers. Put the board and the medium in the first line of any request.

Home, online or a mix

Home visits work well for small children, and for older ones who settle faster with a teacher sitting next to them. Online lessons make sense when the right specialist is on the far side of Firozabad or in another town, or when the only free hour comes late in the evening. Families in Kakrau, Rahna or Gazipur often keep a nearby tutor for the core subjects and take one more with an online tutor for Firozabad students. Before tutors quote, see what to share with them in home tuition fees in Firozabad; the national piece on home versus online tutoring weighs both formats.

Frequently asked questions

Which parts of Firozabad does this tuition guide cover?

This guide covers eighteen Firozabad localities grouped into five zones. They are Jalesar Road and Kotla Road, Suhag Nagar and Agra Road, Gandhi Nagar and City Centre, Tilak Nagar and Rasulpur, and Asafabad and Madina Colony. Every locality name above opens its own page, where you can see the tutors we would suggest for that address.

How should we describe our home to a tutor in Firozabad?

Start with a line every Firozabad tutor knows, then narrow it down to your door. That line can be the old NH 2, the railway on the south side, the Jalesar or Kotla road, or the canal road. Next give the colony, gali or block and house number. For Kakrau, Rahna or Gazipur, also send a map pin.

Why do Firozabad locality names need two spellings?

Firozabad locality names need two spellings because maps, property sites and gate signs often differ, such as Vibhav or Vibhab Nagar and Asafabad or Asfabad. Gazipur is also easily confused with the district of Ghazipur. Writing both forms and adding a map pin stops a tutor heading for the wrong place.

Can NXTutors suggest a UP Board tutor in Firozabad?

Yes, NXTutors suggests UP Board tutors in Firozabad once you tell us the class and the medium. Say whether your child is in High School or Intermediate and writes in Hindi or English. Nearby tutors who teach that course come first; if none fits, we add online tutors who know the UP Board syllabus and model papers.

What happens if our Firozabad colony has no tutor nearby?

When your Firozabad colony has no tutor nearby, the shortlist simply reaches further out. We look in your zone first, then across the city, and then at online tutors elsewhere in India. A common answer is one home tutor for the main subjects and an online class for the remaining one, each starting with a free demo.

Are the tutors NXTutors suggests in Firozabad checked?

Every tutor who joins NXTutors goes through an ID check, including those teaching in Firozabad. The Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete, and the details are on our page about how we check tutors. You also see each fee before the demo, the demo is free, and you can change tutor later at no cost.
