Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

A Firozabad student preparing for JEE often studies from a mix of sources: school, a class or two, books at home, and plenty of self-study. A home tutor helps most when the job is clear. Usually that means one subject that keeps slipping, a weekly check on the problems that would not come out, and a plan that uses the NTA's own past papers rather than piles of loose worksheets. This page explains how to set that up, how to pick the paper language, how to protect the Class 12 board (Hindi too), and how tutors reach different parts of the city. The national JEE home tutor page covers the exam in more depth.
JEE (Main) is run by the National Testing Agency. Its 2026 bulletin described Paper 1 as a computer-based test in three subjects, mathematics, physics and chemistry, each with 20 multiple-choice questions and 5 that need a numerical answer: 75 questions and 300 marks in all. Four marks were given for a right response and one taken away for a wrong one, in both kinds of question. There were two sessions, the better score counted, there was no age limit, and the paper was offered in 13 languages.
JEE (Advanced) is the second stage, open to candidates who qualify through Main under the brochure's rules. The 2026 brochure set two compulsory papers, offered in English and Hindi, and allowed no more than two attempts, in back-to-back years. Rules move, so read the current bulletin on the NTA's JEE (Main) site and the brochure on the JEE (Advanced) site every year.
With those three answers, a tutor can begin with a plan on day one instead of a vague "we'll cover the syllabus".
The most faithful practice material for JEE (Main) is free, and it comes from the exam itself. A tutor can build the year around it in four steps:
| Stage | What the student does | What the tutor checks |
|---|---|---|
| While a chapter is taught | Solves past questions from that chapter only | Whether the method is right, not just the answer |
| Once a few chapters are done | A mixed set across them, timed | Which chapters slow the student down |
| In the last months | Full papers on a computer, as in the real test | Time per section and when to skip a question |
| After every paper | Sorts each lost mark: concept, calculation, misreading or a bad guess | That each kind of mistake gets its own fix |
Because a wrong answer costs a mark, the review after each paper matters as much as the paper. A student who keeps a short "mistakes notebook" and reads it before every test usually stops repeating the same errors within a few weeks. The topic plans for maths, physics and chemistry list the chapters in a sensible order.
Many Firozabad students study science in Hindi at school, read English books for entrance practice, or switch between the two. The UP Board's own syllabus files are published in Hindi, while much JEE material is in English. That mix is fine as long as the student decides early which language they will answer in and learns every technical term in that language. A tutor who can explain an idea in Hindi and then make the student write the solution with the English terms, or the other way round, removes a lot of confusion. Pick the language from the current bulletin's list by Class 11, and stick with it in every mock.
Board marks still matter, and the board paper asks for different habits from a computer-based test. For UP Board students, the 2026-27 files show what to protect:
CBSE students have NCERT as their textbook, so the content lines up well; the gap is usually in writing full board answers after months of quick objective work. See CBSE home tutors in Firozabad. ISC students follow their own chapter order, so a tutor should map ISC chapters against the NTA syllabus early; see ICSE and ISC tutors in Firozabad. For school-side help by subject, there are Firozabad pages for maths, physics and chemistry.
This is an example for a Class 12 student with one weak subject, physics. Adjust it to your own timetable.
| When | What | With whom |
|---|---|---|
| Two weekday sessions | Physics: the problems that did not work, then one idea rebuilt and practised | Home tutor |
| Most evenings | Maths and chemistry practice from past papers, chapter by chapter | Self-study |
| One short weekday slot | Board work: a written answer, a practical record or a Hindi passage | Self-study, checked by the tutor |
| Weekend morning | A timed mixed set or a full paper | Self-study |
| Weekend afternoon | Review of that paper: every lost mark sorted | Home tutor or online |
Central lanes get busy in the evening, so families near the city centre often choose an early slot after school or a weekend morning for home sessions, and keep late doubt sessions online.
| Locality | Who can usually reach it | What to send before the demo |
|---|---|---|
| Arya Nagar | Tutors from most of the city, since it is central beside Gandhi Nagar | House number, lane and a nearby shop |
| Nai Basti | Tutors from Gandhi Nagar, Arya Nagar or the south side | The gali number and a landmark the tutor can see from the main road |
| Tilak Nagar | Tutors from the south side and the centre | The lane and a nearby crossing; a slot that ends before dinner |
| Rasulpur | Tutors from Tilak Nagar, Ram Nagar and the centre | The gali number; mention the spelling Rasoolpur if your papers use it |
| Asafabad | Tutors from Madina Colony, Rasulpur or the centre | A crossing on the highway side; short, focused sessions suit long school days |
| Jagdamba Nagar | Tutors from the centre, Madina Colony and the north side | A landmark and a map pin; an online specialist can sit beside the home tutor |
The zone pages for Gandhi Nagar and City Centre, Tilak Nagar and Rasulpur and Asafabad and Madina Colony add timing tips. Every locality is on the Firozabad home tutors page, and the Firozabad home tuition guide covers each part of the city in turn.
| Subject | Format that often works | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Physics | At home | The tutor needs to watch the student set up the problem and choose the principle |
| Mathematics | New chapters at home; mock reviews online | Pages of working need a tutor in the room, but a marked mock can be gone through on screen |
| Chemistry | Recall online; weak numericals at home | Quick quizzes travel well over a video call |
For Advanced-level problems, the right specialist may teach from another city. For physics or maths on a screen, point a phone camera at the notebook or use a writing tablet, so no line of working is hidden. More on this in online tuition in Firozabad and our home tutor or online tutor post. The neighbouring cities have their own pages too: Agra and Aligarh.
Mechanics, the early calculus and the mole concept decide how Class 12 goes. Start the mistakes notebook in the first month, and do not let a weak chapter pass with "we'll come back to it".
New chapters, Class 11 revision, mocks, practicals and the board all compete. Ask the tutor to mark in writing, at the start of the year, the weeks kept for board answers and Hindi.
Start from last year's papers, question by question, to find the lost marks, then rebuild those chapters. With school over, daytime slots open up more tutors. Read the current eligibility rules first.
For physics in depth, see the JEE physics tutor page; the coaching or home tutor guide, written for another city, shows how to divide the work between a class and a tutor.

Usually not; a Firozabad JEE student does better with a tutor for the one subject that keeps slipping. Most students are steady in two subjects and shaky in the third. Regular sessions in that subject, with self-study from past papers in the other two, use the money more wisely than thin help everywhere.
A JEE tutor should use NTA past papers chapter by chapter while topics are taught, then as timed mixed sets. In the last months the student sits full papers on a computer. After each one, every lost mark is sorted into concept, calculation, misreading or a bad guess, and each gets its own fix.
A Hindi-medium Firozabad student should choose the JEE paper language by Class 11 and practise every mock in it. The 2026 JEE (Main) bulletin offered 13 languages, Hindi among them. Learn each technical term in the chosen language, and ask for a tutor who explains clearly but marks answers in that language.
Calculus carries 44 of the 100 marks in the 2026-27 UP Board Class 12 maths paper. Vectors and three-dimensional geometry carry 18, algebra 15, relations and functions 10, probability 8 and linear programming 5. Calculus also matters for JEE, so the time pays twice if full board steps are still written.
No, a JEE student in Firozabad should not ignore Class 12 Hindi. UP Board General Hindi is a single 100-mark paper with no internal marks, and 33 are needed to pass. One steady hour a week from the start of Class 12 keeps it safe without taking time from entrance work.
Physics usually suits home tuition in Firozabad, because the tutor must watch the student set up each problem. Maths works at home for new chapters and online for paper reviews. Chemistry recall suits short online checks, while weak numericals are better worked at the table.
JEE tutors from Madina Colony, Rasulpur and the centre can usually reach Asafabad, and tutors from the centre and the north side reach Jagdamba Nagar. Share a crossing or landmark and a map pin. An online specialist for one subject can sit beside the home tutor if needed.
In the first demo, a good JEE tutor asks about the target, the weakest subject and the last test before teaching. Bring two past-paper questions your child got wrong; the tutor should find the step that failed. Also ask how they handle negative marking and which slot they can keep weekly.
