What home tuition costs in Aligarh

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Science home tutor in Aligarh for Classes 6 to 10: careful answers start long before the board year

Science in Classes 6 to 10 changes shape every year. It begins as activities and observations, then splits into physics, chemistry and biology, and by Class 10 it is a board paper where a missing label or an unbalanced equation costs marks. In Aligarh, the same street may hold a UP Board student writing in Hindi, a CBSE pupil and an ICSE child with three separate science papers ahead. A useful tutor teaches from the book your child actually carries to school and trains written answers early. NXTutors shortlists two or three science tutors who know that board and can reach your colony; every fee is on the list in advance, and the first class costs nothing because it is a demo.

What kind of help does a child need in each class from 6 to 10?

Our science author for CBSE and ICSE is Aaditya Kashyap. The UP Board paragraphs rely on upmsp.edu.in alone. Help looks different in each class, so here is what to expect and a single check you can run at home:

Middle-school science in Aligarh: the focus of tuition in each class, and a quick check for parents
ClassFocus of tuitionQuick check at home
6 and 7Turning each activity in the book (NCERT's Curiosity for CBSE, or the school's own text) into a clear written sentence and a neat sketchDoes my child use the proper science word, or an everyday one?
8Keeping the three sciences apart in the child's mind; first word equations and simple numericalsIs there a unit beside every answer?
9A sudden step up: motion, the structure of matter and the cell all in one yearAre weak chapters fixed within a month, or left to pile up?
10Practice shaped round the board's own question layout and markingHas my child timed a whole section yet?

Until the board year, a single teacher for physics, chemistry and biology usually works better than three. That one person can tell whether a wrong numerical came from shaky arithmetic or a missed idea, which separate tutors may never spot. How we match in general is on the national science home tutor page; for the steep Class 9 year, open the Class 9 science tutor page.

UP Board High School science: where do the 70 written marks come from?

Class 10 science on the UP Board (UPMSP) is a 100-mark subject: 70 for the High School written paper and 30 for practical work, according to the 2026-27 syllabus. Passing means at least 23 on paper and 10 in practicals, counted separately. Here is how the 70 are spread:

Five units of the UP Board Class 10 science paper (2026-27), their marks, and a first task for the tutor
UnitMarksFirst task
Chemical substances20Writing equations that balance, and naming common compounds correctly
World of living20Labelled diagrams and the order of each life process
Effects of current13Circuit symbols and short numericals on resistance and power
Natural phenomena12Mirror, lens and eye diagrams drawn with a ruler
Natural resources5A page of definitions read aloud once a week

Chemistry and biology together carry 40 of the 70, so a child who finds physics hard can still score well by making those two strong, while steady practice on circuits and light protects the remaining 25. For Hindi, English, social science and the rest, see our UP Board tutors in Aligarh page.

How is the UP Board science paper laid out?

In the board's model paper, students get a reading period and then three hours, and the question paper is in Hindi. Part one, Section A, is made of one-mark objective questions answered by filling circles on an OMR sheet. Part two, Section B, needs written explanations. Each section has three sub-sections, and the instructions want every Section B sub-section written in one go, beginning on a new page.

A home tutor can rehearse exactly that. Work each objective question in the margin before touching the OMR circle. Write one complete sub-section per sitting, so related chapters are revised side by side. And for a Hindi-medium child, keep the textbook's Hindi terms in the written answer, even when an idea was first explained in English or Urdu.

How does CBSE mark Class 10 science?

A CBSE Class 10 student is marked out of 80 by the board and out of 20 by the school; the school's 20 come in four equal parts for periodic tests, multiple assessment, the portfolio and practical-based subject enrichment. Within the 80, Chemical Substances and the World of Living are worth 25 each, Effects of Current 13, Natural Phenomena 12, and Our Environment 5.

By type of thinking, 50% of the marks reward remembering and understanding, 30% applying, and 20% analysing or evaluating. CBSE's 2026-27 sample paper has 39 questions in all: a block of twenty worth one mark each, mixing options with assertion and reason, then six two-mark and seven three-mark answers, three four-mark questions built on a case or source, and three long answers for five. Three pieces of the syllabus are tested only inside school this session: evolution; how elements are arranged in the periodic table; and electromagnetic induction with the generator and electric motor. Board questions also lean on 14 listed experiments, so the practical file is good revision.

The main exam is for everyone. Eligible students can then take an optional extra attempt to raise up to three subjects, science included; cbse.gov.in posts the schedule. Read our CBSE Class 10 science notes, the board-year planner and the Class 10 science tutor page.

Why does Class 9 science need its own plan?

UP Board Class 9 science already uses the 70-plus-30 pattern of Class 10. The largest unit is motion, force and work, worth 25; matter and the organisation of the living world bring 20 apiece; food production brings 5. CBSE Class 9 for 2026-27 follows NCERT's newer Exploration book, again 80 plus 20 internal, with 27 marks on matter, 25 on living things, 23 on motion, force, work and sound, and 5 on the Earth as a system.

Whichever board, two warnings hold. Notes handed down by an older cousin may belong to a different book. And Class 9 motion is where physics first turns into graphs and equations; a tutor who settles it early spares the family a hard Class 10.

Three papers instead of one: what changes for ICSE science?

For an ICSE pupil, Class 10 science is really three subjects, because CISCE sets separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology papers, each with internal marks of its own. Each school picks its textbooks inside the CISCE syllabus, so tuition should follow those books and the council's specimen questions, not an NCERT scheme. Marks go to precise definitions and numericals worked to the end. Fewer local teachers know the ICSE papers well, so name the board in your first message; online lessons make the pool larger.

Which local details keep a weekday science lesson on time?

Middle-school lessons usually fall between the school bus and dinner, and they survive the term only if the tutor's trip is easy to repeat. Here is what to sort out in six colonies on the north and east side; every Aligarh locality is listed on our Aligarh page.

North side: Marris Road, Dodhpur and Jamalpur

Marris Road has both flats and independent houses, and the road is busy in the daytime, so an after-dinner hour or an early Sunday slot often holds better; for a flat, send the building, wing and floor. In Dodhpur, say whether your entrance is from the front lane or the back. Jamalpur has many family houses a little way off the main road, so name the mohalla and say where a two-wheeler can stand.

East side: ADA Colony, Janakpuri and Quarsi

ADA Colony, just off Ramghat Road, is found by house number and any phase or block name, not by street. Janakpuri is family housing on short lanes beside Surendra Nagar and Ramesh Vihar; say which side you live on. In Quarsi, where newer colonies are still filling in, a phone map pin and the nearest chauraha save the tutor a wasted first trip.

The Ramghat Road and Quarsi zone page adds local tips, and the Aligarh home tuition guide takes in the old city, GT Road and Agra Road as well.

Five drills that protect marks on every board

These are the spots where a careful Class 10 student gains and a rushed one loses, whichever examiner reads the script. Ask the tutor to return to them every few weeks:

  1. Rays. Arrowheads on each ray, dotted lines for virtual rays, and a ruler for every line.
  2. Circuits. Only standard symbols; the ammeter sits in series, the voltmeter in parallel with the part measured.
  3. The body. Heart, nephron and gut drawn large and clean, labels spelt right.
  4. Equations. Balanced before moving on, state symbols added when asked.
  5. Crosses. Genetics worked line by line, the ratio stated only at the end.

What should you watch for in the free demo?

Ask the tutor to take whatever chapter school is on now, with the class notebook open on the table. Three things tell you most: does the tutor get your child talking before doing the talking, does a labelled diagram appear on paper within the hour, and do you go away knowing what the next few lessons hold? The demo class checklist has more. A poor fit simply means another shortlisted tutor gives the next demo; moving to a new tutor later in the year is also free.

What does a science home tutor in Aligarh cost?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Every tutor sets a personal rate, shown to you before the demo. Useful follow-ups: how much of the year goes on fresh chapters against revision, and could one lesson a week be online? Our Aligarh home tuition fees guide lists other points.

Requesting a science tutor in Aligarh

A good request names the class and board, the strand that worries you, the exam's language, your colony with a landmark, and the free afternoons. Our reply lists two or three science tutors, fee beside each, and you invite one for the free demo. When the hour you need is one no local tutor can manage, we will say so and offer online or part-online lessons. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works).

Senior students can move on to the Aligarh physics, chemistry and biology pages, and families elsewhere in Uttar Pradesh can look at science tutors in Agra. If you teach science and live in Aligarh, the Aligarh tuition jobs page shows families near you; joining is free.

Science Home Tutor in Aligarh: common questions

What does a Class 6 to 10 science tutor cost in Aligarh?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Aligarh science tutors set their own rates, shown before the free demo. Ask how they split the year between new chapters and revision.

What details help NXTutors find a science tutor for my child in Aligarh?

Share the class, the board, the weak strand, the language of the exam, your colony with a landmark and the free afternoons. We send two or three matched science tutors with fees shown. The first class is a free demo, switching tutor later is free, and if nobody can come at that hour we suggest part-online lessons.

How are marks divided in UP Board Class 10 science?

UP Board Class 10 science has a 70-mark written paper and 30 practical marks in 2026-27, and a pass needs 23 and 10. Chemical substances and the world of living carry 20 each, effects of current 13, natural phenomena 12 and natural resources 5, so chemistry and biology together make up 40 of the 70.

Is the UP Board science paper only in Hindi?

The UP Board Class 10 science model paper is set in Hindi, with a reading period and three hours of writing. Section A is one-mark objective questions on an OMR sheet and Section B is descriptive. A Hindi-medium child should write with the textbook's Hindi terms even if a concept is first explained in English or Urdu.

Which CBSE Class 10 science topics are assessed only by the school?

In 2026-27, three areas of CBSE Class 10 science are assessed only by the school. They are evolution, the periodic arrangement of elements, and electromagnetic induction with the generator and motor. They return in Class 11, so learn them properly, but spend board revision on the five units in the 80-mark paper.

Can one tutor teach physics, chemistry and biology up to Class 10?

Yes, one tutor usually suits all three sciences until Class 10. The same person can see whether a wrong numerical comes from arithmetic or a missed idea. Separate specialists matter more from Class 11, or for an ICSE student who sits three separate science papers and is weak in just one.

Why is Class 9 science harder than Class 8?

Class 9 is the year motion, matter and the cell all arrive at once, and physics first becomes graphs and equations. On the UP Board, motion, force and work is the largest Class 9 unit at 25 of 70 marks. CBSE now uses the newer Exploration book, so older notes from a sibling may not match.

What should families in Jamalpur or Quarsi tell a science tutor before the first visit?

In Jamalpur, give the mohalla name and house number and say where a two-wheeler can stand, since many houses sit a little off the main road. In Quarsi, where new colonies are still filling in, share a phone map pin with the plot number and the nearest chauraha so the tutor finds you first time.

How does an ICSE Class 10 science student differ from a UP Board one?

An ICSE student sits three separate science papers, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, each with internal marks, while the UP Board sets one 70-mark science paper with 30 practical marks. ICSE schools choose their own textbooks within the CISCE syllabus, so a tutor should follow those books and the specimen questions CISCE publishes.
