Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Delhi
Many Delhi parents, when they write to NXTutors, add a line asking for a woman tutor. The reasons are ordinary ones: a seven-year-old who is shy with strangers, a daughter in Class 11 who will study late in the afternoon, a household where the mother is at work until evening and an older relative is at home. Where that line appears, women tutors who match the class, board and subject are considered first, so a woman who teaches with a clear, specific profile is well placed.
No open requests in Delhi right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
The sections below are written for women tutors weighing up Delhi work: what families ask, how the metro lets you draw your own map, how entry works in different kinds of colony, and what helps at the demo. Nothing here limits who can join; every tutor is welcome and matched on fit, and this page simply covers one kind of request. Joining is free, and you decide your colonies, hours, mode and fee.
Younger children account for many of these requests. For nursery and KG, Delhi parents want a gentle routine of sounds, counting and stories; for Classes 1 to 5, reading, tables, Hindi and help with homework, usually several afternoons a week at home. A woman tutor who lives in the same sub-city as the family, Rohini, Dwarka or Mayur Vihar for instance, can often fit two or three such children into one afternoon.
Older students bring subject-specific requests. Parents of girls in CBSE Classes 9 to 12, and in ICSE and ISC, ask for maths, physics, chemistry, biology, accountancy or English, sometimes with entrance preparation alongside the board. Here the preference is often marked flexible: the family wants a woman tutor if one fits, but subject depth comes first, so a woman who teaches senior science or maths with a precise profile stands out.
A smaller set of IB and IGCSE families also ask, and they are often comfortable with online teaching, which lets a woman specialist teach from home across the city.
Think of your work as one or two metro lines rather than the whole city. A tutor living in Rohini can stay with the Red Line stations at Rithala and Rohini and the Yellow Line in the north of the sub-city; one in Janakpuri can cover the Blue Line colonies towards Uttam Nagar and the Magenta Line at Janakpuri West; one in Kalkaji can use Kalkaji Mandir, where the Violet and Magenta Lines meet. Families outside that map can be taught online.
Housing changes how a visit begins. In South Delhi's builder floors, an RWA guard at the block entrance takes your name and you ring the bell for the right floor; in Dwarka and Patparganj societies, the gate rings the flat or checks a list; in Laxmi Nagar or Krishna Nagar lanes, you go straight to the door. Choose the pattern you are comfortable with, and if you would rather end the day near a station, pick colonies within a short walk of one.
Your profile does most of the matching. State the boards and classes you teach, the metro lines or colonies you will travel to, the hours you keep free, and whether you also teach online. A profile that says 'Classes 1 to 5, all subjects, Rohini Sectors 7 to 16, weekday afternoons' is far easier to place than a general one.
The first class is a free demo, and a parent is asked to be at home for it. Teach a normal lesson on the current topic, and before you leave settle the practical details with the parent: days, time, the room, and how you will report progress. Families see your fee before booking; see how you get paid further down.
If something in any arrangement makes you uneasy, end it and tell NXTutors with the subject Safeguarding; in an emergency, call 112 first. Tutors who join complete an ID check with a one-time code and a government photo ID reviewed by the team, an identity check rather than a police or background check, and the safeguarding policy applies to tutors and parents alike.
Women tutors welcome
Women tutors are welcome on NXTutors, for home classes, online classes or both. You decide how, where and when you teach. These are the controls the product gives you, and the habits our safeguarding policy asks of tutors and families.
Read the safeguarding policy and how the ID check works.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Often enough that it is a regular part of requests, especially for young children and for girls in senior classes. When a parent asks, women tutors who fit the subject, board and class are shortlisted first.
