Home tuition jobs in Kalkaji, CR Park & Sarita Vihar, Delhi

Between the Nehru Place office district and Mathura Road, this zone is dominated by flats in pockets and complexes, each with its own gate. Kalkaji, around its historic temple, has DDA flats including janta flats, alongside builder floors in plotted blocks. Alaknanda is DDA and cooperative complexes set among green belts, Nehru Enclave has DDA apartment sectors, and Sarita Vihar and Jasola Vihar are lettered pockets of DDA and cooperative flats near the Uttar Pradesh border.

Chittaranjan Park is the plotted exception: houses and floors in lettered blocks, founded in the early 1960s for Bengali families from East Pakistan, with a strong Bengali character. For a tutor, the zone offers many families in compact complexes and a metro hub at its centre, with two predictable disruptions: office traffic on weekday evenings and very large festival crowds.

Getting to Kalkaji, CR Park & Sarita Vihar

Kalkaji Mandir, where the Violet and Magenta Lines cross, is the hub. The Violet Line continues through Govindpuri, Nehru Place, Jasola Apollo and Sarita Vihar, and the Magenta Line through Nehru Enclave, Greater Kailash and Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh. Most homes are a short e-rickshaw ride from a platform.

Alaknanda has no station of its own; take the Magenta Line to Nehru Enclave or Greater Kailash, or the Violet Line to Govindpuri, and finish by auto or e-rickshaw. For Sarita Vihar, the station is inside Pocket C, and Jasola Apollo is one stop north. Mathura Road is heavy at office hours, so tutors who drive should keep off it then.

What families in Kalkaji, CR Park & Sarita Vihar ask for

Requests here follow the Delhi pattern, mostly CBSE with ICSE and ISC and a smaller group of IB and IGCSE families. Because so many families live in compact DDA pockets and cooperative complexes, a tutor teaching one family in a complex is well placed to add another, and the metro hub makes it easy to combine Kalkaji, CR Park and Alaknanda in one evening.

Senior students near the Nehru Place side often come home late and prefer a fixed evening slot reached by metro, while younger children in the pockets want regular after-school help.

Society entry and visitor norms

Almost every pocket and complex keeps a visitor register. Give the guard your name, pocket and flat number, and ask the family whether a regular-visitor pass is available so later visits are quick. Each Alaknanda complex has its own gate, guards and register, and parking in the inner lanes is limited. Pockets in Sarita Vihar have RWA gates and little visitor parking, so tutors often come by metro and walk.

In CR Park's plotted blocks, visits are doorstep ones to houses and floors. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check; it is an identity check, not a background check.

Because so much of the housing sits behind pocket or complex gates, the first week is about getting onto the regular list. Ask the family to introduce you to the guard on the demo day, keep to fixed days and times, and carry the pocket and flat number with you until the guard knows your face.

Timings that work in Kalkaji, CR Park & Sarita Vihar

The office district keeps nearby roads busy on weekday evenings, and both the temple and CR Park bring heavy crowds in festival periods. During Durga Puja week in CR Park, and on festival days near the Kalkaji temple, families often move lessons to mornings or online, then return to the usual slot. Late-afternoon or evening slots suit visiting tutors in Alaknanda, where parking is limited.

Plan the festival weeks with each family at the start of term rather than when the crowds arrive. A short note agreeing that Durga Puja week or a temple festival day will move online or to a morning keeps the routine intact and saves a wasted trip. Tutors who drive should also keep off Mathura Road at office hours throughout the year.

Credit packs are there if you need more.

How you get paid

You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Questions from tutors

How do I reach Alaknanda without a station?

Take the Magenta Line to Nehru Enclave or Greater Kailash, or the Violet Line to Govindpuri, then an auto or e-rickshaw.

What happens to lessons during Durga Puja in CR Park?

The colony draws very large crowds, so families often move lessons to mornings or online for that week and return to the usual slot afterwards.

Which stations serve Sarita Vihar and Jasola Vihar?

Sarita Vihar on the Violet Line, inside Pocket C, and Jasola Apollo one stop north. Jasola Vihar also has Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh on the Magenta Line.

Do complexes here register visitors?

Almost all of them. Give the guard your name, pocket and flat, and ask for a regular-visitor pass after the demo.

Can I combine several colonies in one evening?

Yes. Kalkaji Mandir connects the Violet and Magenta Lines, so Kalkaji, CR Park, Alaknanda and Nehru Enclave can be combined with short rides.

Is joining free?

Yes. Joining and onboarding are free, and you set your own fee. See how you get paid further down.
