Home tuition jobs in Rohini, Delhi

Rohini is the DDA's sub-city in North West Delhi, begun in the 1980s for a mix of income groups and planned as numbered sectors, each divided into pockets. For a tutor, the sector number says a lot about the visit. The older southern sectors such as 7 and 8, and Sector 15 to the north, are dominated by DDA flats of several categories; Sectors 9, 13 and 16 have many RWA-run cooperative societies; Sector 3, one of the largest, runs in pockets 3A to 3G; Sector 5 has larger three- and four-bedroom builder floors; Sector 11 mixes all three; and outer Sector 24 is gated pockets of DDA flats and MIG societies.

Few parts of Delhi have so many families within a short ride of each other. A tutor who lives in Rohini, or along one of the lines that reach it, can teach several students in neighbouring pockets in one afternoon and evening, and build a week that never leaves the sub-city.

Getting to Rohini

Three metro lines touch Rohini, and which one you use depends on the pocket. In the south, the Red Line ends at Rithala in Sector 5 and has the renamed Rohini station where Sectors 8 and 14 meet. The north is Yellow Line country, with the Rohini Sector 18, 19 station and Samaypur Badli. The newest option, from March 2026, is the Magenta Line along the Outer Ring Road, stopping at Deepali Chowk and Madhuban Chowk.

Outer Sector 24 depends on Rithala and a road leg, usually an e-rickshaw, or a two-wheeler. The Outer Ring Road and the main sector roads are slow in the evening, which matters most for tutors who drive.

What families in Rohini ask for

Requests span all classes, mostly CBSE, with ICSE and ISC and a smaller number of international-curriculum families. With so many families close together, younger children's after-school lessons can be clustered, and senior students who want a specialist paper often pair a local tutor with an online one. Families give the sector, pocket, block and flat together when they ask, and they appreciate a tutor who lists the specific sectors they can reach.

Because the sub-city is so large, two tutors who both say 'Rohini' may serve quite different parts of it. Listing your sectors, and the line you travel on, helps you get matched where you can actually keep time.

Society entry and visitor norms

CGHS societies in Sectors 9, 13 and 16 register visitors at the gate, so ask the family to add you to the list. DDA pockets in Sectors 7, 8 and 15 are usually a straight walk to the door. In builder floors, someone may have to come down and unlock the street door. Many pockets in Sector 24 have a guard at the entrance, so pass your details on beforehand.

Block names repeat across Rohini, so carry the sector, pocket, block and flat for every family until the routes are familiar. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, which is an identity check, not a background check.

Timings that work in Rohini

Keep sessions clear of the evening rush on the Outer Ring Road and the main sector roads. If you travel by metro, evening slots are easier to hold; if you drive, favour afternoons. For a senior specialist paper, an online session after a coaching day spares the trip and keeps the week on track.

Clustering is the key to a good Rohini week: arrange students in the same or neighbouring sectors back to back, starting with the one furthest from home.

Joining, leads and pay

Joining is free

Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.

Paid plans are optional

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.

How leads and credits work

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.

How you get paid

You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Questions from tutors

Which metro line is nearest to my Rohini students?

Southern sectors such as 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9 are Red Line territory, with Rithala inside Sector 5. Sectors 15 and 16 look to the Yellow Line at Rohini Sector 18, 19 or Samaypur Badli. Sectors 3 and 8 can also use the Magenta Line at Deepali Chowk and Madhuban Chowk.

Do I need a gate pass in Rohini?

In cooperative societies, usually; ask to be added to the list. DDA pockets are generally open, and in builder floors someone may need to unlock the street door.

Is Sector 24 harder to reach?

A little. Rithala on the Red Line is the usual link, followed by an e-rickshaw, or a two-wheeler. Many pockets have a guard.

Why do families give the pocket as well as the sector?

Because block names repeat across Rohini. The pocket tells you which station is closest and how entry works.

What are the evening traffic points in Rohini?

The Outer Ring Road and the main sector roads, which are slow in the evening. Tutors who drive should favour afternoons; metro riders can hold later slots more easily.

Can I build a full week in Rohini alone?

Often, yes. The sub-city is large and dense, so a tutor who lists specific neighbouring sectors can cluster several students.

Is joining free?

Yes. Joining and onboarding are free, and you set your own fee. See how you get paid further down.
