Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Delhi
Delhi takes commerce seriously. East of the Yamuna, Laxmi Nagar is well known for accountancy and company secretary coaching, and across the city many Class 11 and 12 students choose the commerce stream with clear plans for what follows. Their families want a home tutor who can make Accountancy click, give Economics answers a shape, and keep Business Studies from becoming a last-minute cram. For a commerce teacher, that is consistent, well-defined work.
No open commerce requests in Delhi right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
This page explains what Delhi commerce requests look like, where those students live, what families expect, and how to win and keep them. Joining NXTutors is free; you choose your colonies, timings, mode and fee.
Accountancy is the first request in most commerce families. CBSE Class 11 lays the base, journal, ledger, trial balance and financial statements, and Class 12 adds partnership accounts, company accounts and analysis of statements. Students who missed a step in Class 11 struggle all through Class 12, so parents want a tutor who finds the gap and practises until formats and logic are automatic. ISC students need the same care with written explanation.
Economics comes next: microeconomics and macroeconomics with their diagrams, and for CBSE, statistics and Indian economic development. Students often understand the ideas but write answers without structure. Business Studies is usually requested closer to exams, when long answers and case-based questions start to cost marks.
The CBSE year sets the pace. The session opens in April, when a new Class 11 student can start cleanly; first-term tests in many schools come by September; pre-boards arrive around the turn of the year, and board papers follow from January to March. Commerce requests rise at each of those points, and a tutor who can start mid-year with focused practice is valued.
The trans-Yamuna belt is a natural base. Laxmi Nagar, Nirman Vihar, Preet Vihar and Shahdara are mostly separate buildings where you go straight to the floor, with the Blue, Pink and Red Lines close by; Vikas Marg is slow at office hours and parking is scarce, so metro and e-rickshaw work better than driving. Mayur Vihar, Patparganj and IP Extension, a short ride away, add many commerce students in gated complexes.
West Delhi's long residential belt, from Janakpuri and Vikaspuri to Rajouri Garden and Punjabi Bagh, has four metro lines crossing it and many family homes with senior students. North-west, Rohini and Pitampura are dense with DDA flats and cooperative societies. Two or three neighbouring zones on your own line will keep your weekly round manageable.
South Delhi has commerce students too, in the builder floors of Lajpat Nagar and Greater Kailash and the DDA pockets of Kalkaji and Sarita Vihar, and the Violet and Magenta Lines make those colonies easy to reach. Wherever you choose, a commerce student coming home from school or coaching usually wants a late-afternoon slot; book it before the evening rush on the Ring Road, Vikas Marg or Mathura Road rather than in the middle of it.
Bring an Accountancy problem from the student's current chapter to the demo, let them try it, then correct the format and reasoning together and set a similar one. If economics is the worry, have the student draw and explain one diagram and show how a full-mark answer is built. Parents judge a commerce tutor on whether the weak point was found and fixed.
List each commerce subject with its board and class: 'Accountancy CBSE and ISC Class 11–12, Economics CBSE Class 11–12, Business Studies Class 12'. Add the colonies you can reach and whether you teach online. Families see your fee before booking; see how you get paid further down this page.
Keep commerce students by building practice into every week. A short timed question, a quick review of the last test and a clear target for the next one make progress visible. Agree a fixed slot early, and in gated societies ask to be registered as a regular visitor so classes start on time.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Accountancy first, then Economics and Business Studies, mainly for CBSE Class 11 and 12 and also for ISC. Some families want one tutor for all three; others want an Accountancy specialist.
The trans-Yamuna belt around Laxmi Nagar, Preet Vihar and Shahdara, East Delhi's Mayur Vihar and Patparganj, West Delhi from Janakpuri to Punjabi Bagh, and Rohini and Pitampura. Keep to two or three neighbouring zones on your metro line.

At the start of the CBSE session in April, after first-term tests, before pre-boards and ahead of board papers. Confirm dates from official notices.
No. List what you teach well. An Accountancy specialist is valuable on their own.
It shows how seriously commerce is taken in the area. Many students there attend accountancy or other commerce coaching, and families still ask for a home tutor to work through practice and doubts one-to-one. A tutor living nearby on the Blue Line is easy for them to schedule.
Plan the year around practice. Agree a fixed weekly slot, set a timed question every few classes, review each school test, and move to full papers before pre-boards. Share marks with the parent so progress is visible.
