Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Delhi
For many Delhi families, biology tuition means one thing: NEET. Biology carries half the marks in NEET UG, and a student who wants a medical seat needs the NCERT Biology books almost by heart. Parents know this, and they look for a tutor who will sit with the student every week and make that volume of reading manageable, alongside the coaching batch the student already attends. Board students and international-curriculum students ask too, but NEET is the centre of gravity.
No open biology requests in Delhi right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
If you teach biology and are thinking about Delhi, this page covers who asks, where they live, what they expect, and how to be the tutor they keep. Joining NXTutors is free, and the colonies, hours, mode and fee are yours to set.
NEET UG is conducted by NTA once a year. Families want biology taught NCERT first: every chapter read closely, diagrams practised, and short tests that check recall of the exact lines questions draw on. Most of these students are in coaching, so the home tutor's job is to clear doubts from the coaching material, go through every wrong answer in a mock, and keep a revision cycle running so Class 11 chapters are not forgotten by Class 12.
Board biology is the second stream. CBSE Class 11 and 12 students need clear answers on plant and human physiology, genetics and evolution, biotechnology and ecology, with labelled diagrams and the case-based questions in the board's sample papers. Delhi's ISC students need fuller written answers; ICSE students in Classes 9 and 10 take Biology as its own paper and need precise definitions.
A smaller group study IB Biology at SL or HL, with an internal assessment the student must design and write themselves, or IGCSE Biology with its tiers and a practical or alternative-to-practical paper. These families are often happy with online classes, because the right specialist may live on another metro line entirely.
NEET students are spread across the city, but the large residential sub-cities are where you can build a round. Rohini's sectors and Pitampura's DDA flats and enclaves in the north-west, both on the Red Line with the new Magenta Line stops along the Outer Ring Road, and Dwarka's cooperative societies along the Blue Line in the south-west, all hold many senior students within a short ride of each other.
East Delhi's Mayur Vihar, Patparganj and IP Extension have gated complexes beside Blue and Pink Line stations, and South Delhi's Kalkaji, Alaknanda and Sarita Vihar are DDA and cooperative pockets each with its own gate. In all of these, a NEET student coming home late from coaching often prefers a home lesson at the weekend with online revision sessions on weekdays, which lets you take students further from home.
For a NEET family, ask in advance which chapter scored worst in the last mock. In the demo, teach a section of it with its diagram, then ask ten quick questions drawn from those NCERT lines. The parent sees exactly how you will work every week. For a board student, mark one recent answer and rewrite it together to full-mark length.
On your profile, keep NEET and board biology separate and name the boards: 'NEET Biology (NCERT-based), CBSE and ISC Class 11–12 Biology, ICSE Biology Classes 9 and 10'. List the colonies you reach and whether you teach online. Families see your fee before booking; see how you get paid further down.
Students stay with a biology tutor who makes progress visible. Keep a chapter tracker the parent can see, share mock trends every few weeks, and plan the final months around full-length practice. Never promise a rank or a seat; promise a clear plan and keep to it.
Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.
Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.
A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
A large share of Class 11 and 12 requests is, usually alongside coaching. Board-only students in CBSE, ISC and ICSE, and a smaller group of IB and IGCSE students, ask too.
Work from the coaching material and mocks, keep NCERT at the centre and run a revision cycle. Many families prefer a weekend home session with weekday online revision when coaching ends late.
The sub-cities, Rohini and Dwarka, and Pitampura in the north-west, plus East Delhi's Mayur Vihar, Patparganj and IP Extension. South Delhi's DDA pockets in Kalkaji and Alaknanda have senior students too.
Yes. ICSE treats Biology as its own paper in Classes 9 and 10, so you can list it on its own if that is your strength.
Yes. Online works well for NCERT revision, recall tests and mock review. Use a camera or tablet so diagrams can be drawn and checked.
Ranks, scores or a medical seat. Families value a tutor who explains the plan, measures progress honestly and keeps to the agreed schedule.
Throughout, with peaks when Class 11 begins at the start of the CBSE session in April, after first-term tests, and in the months before NEET UG. A student who starts late needs revision and mock review more than new teaching. Check exam dates on NTA's own site before you plan.
