Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Janakpuri, Rajouri Garden & Punjabi Bagh, Delhi
A long residential belt of West Delhi stretches along Najafgarh Road and Rohtak Road. Janakpuri, planned in the late 1960s, is lettered blocks and pockets with society flats, houses and floors. Vikaspuri is mostly builder floors with DDA flats, Uttam Nagar is floors and private houses on the old Hastsal lands, and Tilak Nagar, Subhash Nagar and Hari Nagar mix DDA flats with floors and houses.
No open home-tuition requests in Janakpuri, Rajouri Garden & Punjabi Bagh right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; add Janakpuri, Rajouri Garden & Punjabi Bagh to your travel areas so they can reach you.
Rajouri Garden combines lettered bungalow blocks with DDA pockets, Kirti Nagar and Moti Nagar are post-Partition colonies of houses and floors, Punjabi Bagh has large bungalow plots on both sides of the Ring Road, and Paschim Vihar leans to gated complexes. For a tutor, it is one of the largest continuous stretches of family housing in the city, tied together by rail.
Rail is the easy part. Najafgarh Road carries the Blue Line past Rajouri Garden, Subhash Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri and Uttam Nagar; the Magenta Line meets it at Janakpuri West; Punjabi Bagh and Paschim Vihar have Green Line stops; and the Pink Line links Punjabi Bagh West, Rajouri Garden, Mayapuri and Naraina Vihar. A tutor two or three stations along the same line is often a comfortable fit.
Roads are the hard part. The markets at Tilak Nagar and Rajouri Garden and the furniture lanes of Kirti Nagar make parking difficult, the Outer Ring Road near Vikaspuri is heavy in the evening, and crossing the Ring Road between the two halves of Punjabi Bagh is slow at the peak.
Requests cover all classes, mostly CBSE with ICSE and ISC and a smaller group of IB and IGCSE families. Because the metro links the colonies so closely, families here regularly consider tutors from a few stations away, which widens the work open to a tutor who lives anywhere along the Blue, Magenta, Green or Pink Lines.
Families with large houses in Punjabi Bagh and Rajouri Garden often want regular weekly sessions for more than one child; families in the denser floors of Vikaspuri, Uttam Nagar and Tilak Nagar want reliable after-school help close to home.
Plotted blocks are doorbell visits. DDA pockets and the Paschim Vihar societies usually record visitors at the gate, and Janakpuri's society flats generally ask visitors to sign a guard register, so ask the family to leave your name at the gate before the demo. Builder floors in Vikaspuri and Uttam Nagar need only the floor and a landmark. In Punjabi Bagh most homes are large houses with space to park nearby.
Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check; it is an identity check, not a police check, and the first class is a free demo with a parent at home.
Ask each family whether they live in a society, a DDA pocket or a builder floor when you first speak, because it decides how entry works. Keep a note of the block or pocket for each student; Janakpuri's lettered blocks and pockets are easy to confuse on a first visit.
In Punjabi Bagh, teach on your own side of the Ring Road on weekday evenings, or ride the Green or Pink Line. Around Tilak Nagar market, Rajouri Garden's main market and Kirti Nagar's furniture lanes, a metro rider walking from the nearest station arrives more reliably than a driver. Avoid the Outer Ring Road near Vikaspuri at the evening peak.
After-school slots in the late afternoon suit younger children in the plotted blocks and DDA pockets. For senior students, a fixed evening slot reached by metro is easier to keep than one that depends on crossing a market road. Weekends work for longer sessions with families in the larger Punjabi Bagh and Rajouri Garden homes, when parking is easier and parents are home.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Those who live on the family's side of the Ring Road, or who travel by metro. The crossing between East and West is slow in the evening peak.
Usually. Leave your name at the gate before the demo. Houses and floors in Janakpuri's plotted blocks are doorstep visits.
Usually not in the evening. Markets crowd the lanes and Kirti Nagar's furniture market brings heavy traffic. Use the Blue Line and walk.
