Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in GK, Defence Colony & Lajpat Nagar, Delhi
This zone is South Delhi's older plotted core: Greater Kailash 1 and 2 in lettered blocks around their markets, Defence Colony in blocks A to E, Lajpat Nagar's four parts on either side of the Ring Road, South Extension Parts I and II, East of Kailash and the small, green Pamposh Enclave. Much of the old bungalow stock now stands rebuilt as separate floors, with a different household on each level and a bell for each.

For a tutor, that rebuilding means density: one plot can hold several families, and a block can hold many. Add some of the densest metro coverage in the city and this becomes a zone where a tutor can reach several homes in an evening on foot from a station, provided the evening is planned around markets and the Ring Road.
Lajpat Nagar is an interchange of the elevated Violet Line and the underground Pink Line; Moolchand and Kailash Colony are on the Violet Line; South Extension has a Pink Line station; and Greater Kailash sits on the Magenta Line, with Nehru Place and Kalkaji Mandir close to East of Kailash. A tutor coming by metro is usually a short walk or e-rickshaw from the door.
Match the station to the colony: Lajpat Nagar or Moolchand for Lajpat Nagar and Defence Colony, Greater Kailash for GK-1, GK-2 and Pamposh Enclave, and South Extension for its two parts. Driving is the harder option: evening parking near the GK markets and Lajpat Nagar's Central Market fills up, and the Ring Road and Outer Ring Road are slow at peak hours.
Requests follow the Delhi pattern: CBSE most, with ICSE and ISC and a smaller group of IB and IGCSE families. With several households on each plot, a tutor who is liked by one family is often asked by another on a different floor. Families in this zone frequently ask for a tutor who arrives by metro, because it makes evening timing reliable near the markets.
Senior students here often take separate tutors for different subjects, and a tutor who teaches one subject well in Lajpat Nagar can often add students in Defence Colony or South Extension, one or two stations away. Younger children in the floors want regular weekday help after school, which suits a tutor who lives in or near the zone.
Block RWAs keep guards at colony entrances, so even a doorstep visit usually starts with a word at the gate. Ask the family to give the guard your name and their floor before the demo. In rebuilt floors, each storey often has its own bell, so confirm which one to ring.
East of Kailash is the mixed one, with DDA pockets and cooperative flats between private floors; in the pockets and societies your name goes into the gate register, while the floors are doorstep visits. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check; it is not a police or background check. Parents are asked to be at home for the free demo, and the first visit is the time to agree with the guard and the family how later visits will work.
Morning and weekend slots are calmer than weekday evenings. If you drive, avoid the evening peak near the M Block and Central markets; if you come by metro, evenings are manageable. On the heaviest market evenings, an online session keeps the week going without the trip.
After-school slots in the late afternoon suit younger children and avoid the worst of the market rush. For senior students, a fixed evening slot reached by metro works well once the gate routine is settled.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Usually. Block RWAs keep guards with visitor registers. Ask the family to give the guard your name before the first class, and confirm which bell to ring for their floor.
Lajpat Nagar station, where the Violet and Pink Lines meet, for most of Lajpat Nagar, with Moolchand for the western side. South Extension has its own Pink Line station.
Yes. It mixes houses and floors with DDA flats and cooperative housing, so some visits need a gate register and others are doorstep.
Mostly in a builder floor: one level of a rebuilt plot, with its own bell. In East of Kailash's DDA pockets and cooperative complexes, you will be in a flat behind a gate.
In the morning and at weekends. Evening parking near the markets is hard and the Ring Road is slow, so most tutors come by metro.
