Home tuition jobs in Pitampura, Model Town & North Campus, Delhi

This zone links DDA-planned Pitampura to older North Delhi. Pitampura, developed in the 1980s, has DDA flats including large HIG towers, enclaves of houses and floors such as Kohat Enclave, and a busy commercial and office district on its edge at Netaji Subhash Place. Prashant Vihar and Shalimar Bagh are floors and houses in blocks, Ashok Vihar has four phases, and Model Town, one of Delhi's first privately developed neighbourhoods, has three parts around Naini Lake.

Near North Campus, GTB Nagar, Mukherjee Nagar and Kamla Nagar mix family homes with student hostels and paying-guest rooms, and Civil Lines still has colonial-era bungalows on tree-lined roads. For a tutor, the zone combines settled family colonies with a large student population nearby, which shapes both demand and timing.

Getting to Pitampura, Model Town & North Campus

Most homes are close to one of four lines. The Yellow Line serves the North Campus side and Model Town, through Civil Lines, Vishwavidyalaya, GTB Nagar, Model Town, Azadpur and Adarsh Nagar. The Red Line has Kohat Enclave, Keshav Puram and the Netaji Subhash Place interchange; the Pink Line stops at Shalimar Bagh, Azadpur and Majlis Park; and since March 2026 Uttari Pitampura-Prashant Vihar on the Magenta Line has served the Outer Ring Road side.

Kohat Enclave's station sits inside the colony, and from GTB Nagar station most homes are a walk. For Ashok Vihar, depending on the phase, use Keshav Puram or Kanhiya Nagar on the Red Line, or Shalimar Bagh on the Pink Line; Model Town I, II and III use Model Town station or Azadpur.

What families in Pitampura, Model Town & North Campus ask for

Families ask across classes, mostly CBSE with ICSE and ISC. Near North Campus in particular, tutors living within walking distance are common for school subjects, so families there often find a local tutor for everyday subjects and then add an online specialist for one paper. A specialist tutor elsewhere in the zone, or online, can fill that second role.

In the enclaves and phases of Pitampura, Ashok Vihar and Model Town, families with younger children want regular after-school help close to home, and senior students want subject specialists who can keep a fixed weekly slot.

Society entry and visitor norms

Enclave floors in Kohat Enclave and Prashant Vihar are quiet doorstep visits. DDA flats and HIG towers in Pitampura may have a building entry. Ashok Vihar and Model Town are large, so ask for the phase or part first, then the house. For a Civil Lines bungalow, the family should tell the gatekeeper in advance that you are coming.

Near Mukherjee Nagar and GTB Nagar, ask for the block and the easiest lane in. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check; it is an identity check, not a background check.

Near North Campus, family homes sit beside hostels and paying-guest rooms, so confirm the exact building and floor before the first visit; a wrong turn into a student block wastes time. In Shalimar Bagh's lettered blocks, give the block letter as well as the house number when you plan your route.

Timings that work in Pitampura, Model Town & North Campus

Kamla Nagar's market and Netaji Subhash Place are crowded at the evening peak, and main roads near Mukherjee Nagar and GTB Nagar fill with students in the evening, so afternoon slots work better there. The Ring Road is slow at peak hours. In the enclaves around Pitampura and Prashant Vihar, evening slots are more manageable, especially for metro riders.

If you teach on both sides of the zone, put the North Campus and Kamla Nagar visits in the afternoon and the Pitampura, Shalimar Bagh and Ashok Vihar visits later. Weekend mornings suit longer sessions with senior students, when the student streets are quieter and families are at home.
