Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Lodhi Colony, Jangpura & Nizamuddin, Delhi
A compact, quieter band just south of central New Delhi. Lodhi Colony is government housing built in the 1940s and managed by the New Delhi Municipal Council, with blocks whose walls now carry large murals. Jangpura runs along Mathura Road and takes in Jangpura A and B, Jangpura Extension and Bhogal, where builder floors now make up most homes. Nizamuddin East is a small, leafy colony of houses and floors with many public parks, and Nizamuddin West has bungalows, houses and floors in residential blocks around a historic dargah and its basti.
No open home-tuition requests in Lodhi Colony, Jangpura & Nizamuddin right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; add Lodhi Colony, Jangpura & Nizamuddin to your travel areas so they can reach you.
Most of the zone is low-rise and much of it sits close to large green spaces, which makes it a calm place to teach. For a tutor, it is a small zone, most easily combined with a neighbouring one such as the GK, Defence Colony and Lajpat Nagar zone, which tutors in Lajpat Nagar often already cover. A tutor who lists both zones reaches far more families than one who lists either alone, and the Violet Line joins them in a few stops.
Jangpura and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on the Violet Line serve Jangpura, Bhogal and Lodhi Colony, and Jor Bagh on the Yellow Line is close to Lodhi Colony. The Pink Line stop at Hazrat Nizamuddin, beside the railway station, lets a trans-Yamuna tutor arrive without changing trains.
Mathura Road and the station approach are heavy in the evening, and roads near the dargah fill with visitors, so tutors who drive need to plan around those. Inside the colonies, parking is easier than in most central areas.
Requests follow the Delhi pattern, mostly CBSE, with ICSE and ISC and some international-curriculum families. With a small number of colonies close together, a tutor who becomes known in one block is often asked by neighbours. Families in Jangpura and Bhogal value a tutor who lives nearby or travels by metro, because Mathura Road makes driving unpredictable.
The quiet blocks suit regular weekday lessons for younger children, and senior students here often combine a home tutor for one subject with an online specialist for another.
Lodhi Colony's government housing blocks are open and well signposted, so visits go straight to the flat door. Both Nizamuddin East and Nizamuddin West have RWA gates where the guard checks visitors; ask the family to tell the gate you are expected and which entrance to use, since several colonies have more than one gate. In Bhogal and the inner blocks of Jangpura, lanes are narrow and most homes are builder floors with their own entrance.
Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check; it is an identity check, not a police check. Families are asked to have a parent at home for the free demo, which is also the right time to agree which gate and which room you will use each week.
Avoid Mathura Road and the station approach at the evening peak, and the roads near the dargah when they fill with visitors. Afternoons and early evenings inside the colonies are calm. A trans-Yamuna tutor coming on the Pink Line can keep an evening slot reliably, as long as the walk from Hazrat Nizamuddin is planned.
The colonies' quiet blocks suit a regular weekday routine, which is how most families here prefer to work. If you combine this zone with Lajpat Nagar or Defence Colony, put the Jangpura and Nizamuddin visits before the evening peak on Mathura Road and finish in the quieter blocks of Lodhi Colony, where an evening slot is easier to keep.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Usually, yes. Both have RWA gates. Ask the family to tell the gate you are expected, and in Nizamuddin West name the block and a gate landmark.
Generally. Its government housing blocks are open and signposted, so visits go straight to the flat door. Walk from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on the Violet Line or Jor Bagh on the Yellow Line, and parking inside is usually manageable outside peak hours.
Lanes are narrow, parking is tight and Mathura Road is heavy in the evening. Using Jangpura station, or living nearby, keeps time easier. Most homes are builder floors.
Yes. The Pink Line reaches Hazrat Nizamuddin, so a trans-Yamuna tutor can arrive without changing trains.
Inside the colonies, parking is usually easier than in most central areas, especially in Lodhi Colony outside peak hours. In Bhogal and the inner Jangpura blocks, lanes are narrow, so a metro ride or a two-wheeler is simpler.
Often. It is small, and tutors in neighbouring Lajpat Nagar frequently cover both.
