Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Hebbal, RT Nagar & Yelahanka, Bengaluru
One junction decides most tutoring weeks in north Bengaluru: the Hebbal flyover, where the Outer Ring Road meets Bellary Road, the NH 44 route towards the airport at Devanahalli. Airport and office traffic funnels through it, so a tutor who lives on the family's side keeps evening slots far more reliably than one who has to cross. Before you add this zone to your profile, decide which side of that flyover you can serve.
No open home-tuition requests in Hebbal, RT Nagar & Yelahanka right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; add Hebbal, RT Nagar & Yelahanka to your travel areas so they can reach you.
The zone has three quite different neighbourhoods. Hebbal, known for its lake, ranges from high-rise societies and mid-range flats to independent houses and villas, with Kanaka Nagar, Kaval Byrasandra, Ganga Nagar and Mathikere as neighbours. RT Nagar is a long-established family area in two blocks, where houses and builder floors often have shops on the ground floor and homes above, with markets and parks inside the locality. Yelahanka, older than Bengaluru itself, splits into an Old Town of older homes and a New Town of independent houses and plots, planned in the early 1980s, with apartment complexes growing around it and Jakkur, Puttenahalli and Attur nearby. Its Air Force Station hosts the biennial Aero India show.
There is no metro here yet. Hebbala, Kodigehalli, Jakkuru Cross and Yelahanka are stations on the Blue Line towards the airport, all under construction. Hebbal has a railway station and Yelahanka Junction is a railway junction, so a tutor near the railway can sometimes reach Yelahanka by train, but most tutors come by bus, two-wheeler or auto.
In practice, that splits the zone into two working areas. A tutor living in Hebbal or RT Nagar can cover both without much difficulty, and a tutor in Yelahanka is the natural fit for New Town families. Driving up from the city to Yelahanka on a weekday evening, along Bellary Road with its airport traffic, is the trip that tends to fail.
Requests across Bengaluru cover the Karnataka board's SSLC and PUC, CBSE, CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and IB or IGCSE, and NXTutors matches class, board and subject first. For families in this zone the matching then follows distance: tutors who live in Hebbal, RT Nagar or Yelahanka first, then tutors who already travel into the zone, then others across Bengaluru, then online tutors. Two or three are sent.
For specialist senior subjects, the zone research suggests that an online tutor widens a family's choice. If you teach such a subject and live elsewhere in the city, an online offer may reach more families here than a long weekly drive would.
Most visits in RT Nagar and Yelahanka New Town are at the doorstep. In RT Nagar's market lanes, agree a safe place to park a two-wheeler before your first visit, and ask for a landmark along with the block number. For Yelahanka New Town, ask for the stage and house number; for Old Town, a nearby landmark as well. The newer apartment societies in Hebbal and around Yelahanka register visitors at the gate, so ask the parent to add your name before the demo.
Plan around the flyover. A tutor living in RT Nagar or Hebbal can fit weekday evening visits without crossing it at peak time. For anyone who must cross, a weekend session or an earlier weekday slot is steadier. Bellary Road's airport traffic adds to the evening load towards Yelahanka, which is one more reason a Yelahanka-based tutor suits regular classes there.
Exam seasons change the picture too. In the weeks before SSLC, PUC or CBSE board papers, some families want an extra session, and that is where a tutor who also teaches online is useful: the extra hour can happen on a screen without a second trip through the flyover junction. Say on your profile which evenings and weekend hours you keep free, so a family can see at a glance whether your week fits theirs.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
No. Hebbala, Kodigehalli, Jakkuru Cross and Yelahanka are under construction on the Blue Line. Until they open, tutors arrive by road or, for Yelahanka, sometimes by train to the junction.
Think about the weekday evening trip first. Crossing the Hebbal flyover and driving up Bellary Road at peak time is hard to repeat each week. You might list Hebbal and RT Nagar for home visits and offer Yelahanka families online lessons instead.
If you live in RT Nagar, you appear among the first tutors for requests from there. If you live nearby, add RT Nagar to the areas you travel to; tutors who travel to an area are listed after local ones and before the rest of the city.
No. Joining is free. You set your own lesson fee, which families see before the free demo, and the section below explains how leads, credits and payment work.
For New Town, the stage and house number; for Old Town, a nearby landmark as well, since the older streets are harder to find from a number alone. If the family lives in one of the newer apartment complexes around Yelahanka, ask for the tower and flat number and for your name to be given at the gate.
