Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Koramangala, HSR & Bellandur, Bengaluru
Picture two lessons on the same weekday. The first is in Koramangala, on a quiet cross road of the older inner blocks, where you ring the bell of an independent house and the parent opens the door. The second is in a Sarjapur Road tower, where a guard at the security desk checks your name against a visitor list before the lift. Both sit inside one NXTutors zone, the south-east office belt that wraps around the Outer Ring Road, and a tutor who teaches here needs to be ready for both kinds of visit.
No open home-tuition requests in Koramangala, HSR & Bellandur right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; add Koramangala, HSR & Bellandur to your travel areas so they can reach you.
The zone covers four places. Koramangala runs in eight numbered blocks, with the Inner Ring Road separating blocks 1 to 4 from blocks 5 to 8. HSR Layout, begun by the Bangalore Development Authority in 1985, has seven sectors on a grid with parks spread through them, and mixes independent houses, builder floors and apartment communities. Bellandur, bounded by its lake on the north, grew with the tech parks, and the Sarjapur Road corridor through Kasavanahalli, Carmelaram, Chikkabellandur and Doddakannelli is lined with high-rise towers and villa townships. This page is for tutors weighing whether to add any of these to their travel list.
Your route decides how much of this zone you can cover. Central Silk Board station, at the zone's western corner, has been on the Yellow Line since August 2025, so a tutor who lives along that line, or who changes from the Green Line, can reach Koramangala and the HSR side and finish with an auto. East of Silk Board the picture changes. The Blue Line along the Outer Ring Road, with HSR Layout, Agara and Ibbaluru stations planned, is still under construction and no section is open, so Bellandur and the Sarjapur Road localities are reached only by bus, cab or two-wheeler.
That makes the Outer Ring Road the real boundary. Built in sections between 1996 and 2002, it passes through HSR Layout and Bellandur on its way to Marathahalli, and Bellandur works as a transit point between the east and south of the city. Crossing it at office opening or closing time can turn a short ride into a long one. Tutors who live on the same side of the ORR as the family, or near Silk Board, are the natural fit for weekday visits.
The households here range from long-settled families in Koramangala's bungalows to young families in the newer towers along Sarjapur Road, and the requests that reach tutors across Bengaluru span the Karnataka state board's SSLC and PUC, CBSE, CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and IB or Cambridge IGCSE. Rather than listing every board, say plainly which ones you know well; a family scanning two or three profiles responds to a clear line such as 'ICSE Class 9 to 10 Maths' far more than to a long menu.
For senior specialist subjects, the research on this zone points to a mixed week: one home visit plus an online session. If you can teach both ways, tick both on your profile. A family in Bellandur who cannot find a nearby specialist will still see online tutors once the local and travelling ones are listed, so an online offer keeps you in view even where the commute is hard.
Expect a visitor register in most of Bellandur and on Sarjapur Road, where nearly every home is in a gated society. Ask the parent to pre-register you with the security desk before the demo and to share the tower and flat number. Keeping the same weekly slot helps, because the guard begins to recognise you. In Koramangala's inner blocks and much of HSR Layout, visits are at the doorstep; there you need the exact address instead. For HSR, ask for the sector, main and cross numbers, and for Koramangala the block number, since the Inner Ring Road divides the blocks into two halves and a wrong guess costs time.
Office traffic on the Outer Ring Road peaks in the morning and again from early evening. A lesson that starts after the evening peak, or a weekend morning session, holds up better week to week than one squeezed in at office closing time. In Koramangala, busier stretches such as 80 Feet Road carry cafes, offices and co-working spaces, and evening traffic on Hosur Road and the main junctions is heavy, so an early-evening slot suits many families. If you teach two students on the same side of the ORR, keep them back to back and avoid crossing the road between them.
Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
When a family sends a request, NXTutors lists tutors who live in Koramangala, HSR Layout, Bellandur or Sarjapur Road first, then tutors who travel into the zone, then the zone more widely, then the rest of Bengaluru, then online tutors. The family receives two or three matches. Living here or listing these areas as places you travel to moves you earlier in that order.
Not yet. The Blue Line along the Outer Ring Road is under construction and none of its stations is open. Central Silk Board on the Yellow Line helps for Koramangala and HSR Layout, but Bellandur and Sarjapur Road are reached by road, so count the ride honestly before adding them to your travel list.
Only the ones you can reach on a weekday evening. A tutor based near Silk Board might cover Koramangala and HSR Layout comfortably but find Sarjapur Road too far at peak hours. Accurate areas put you in front of the families you can actually serve and keep demos from turning into missed weeks.
Joining is free, and you set your own lesson fee, which the family sees on your profile before the free demo. The page below explains how leads, credits and payment work. There is no charge for listing these localities as places you teach.
Yes. With no open metro east of Silk Board, families on Sarjapur Road often mix a weekly home visit with an online session, especially in senior specialist subjects. Offering both modes lets you take a student here even when a second weekly visit would be hard to keep.
