Tutor jobs in Indiranagar and Old Airport Road, Bengaluru

Each locality is a little different. Indiranagar began as a BDA layout of large houses in the late 1970s; its independent homes now stand among apartment buildings and builder floors off 100 Feet Road, CMH Road and 80 Feet Road, with Binnamangala, Kodihalli and Thippasandra around it. Domlur, part of the Bangalore Civil and Military Station until 1949 and home to a Chola-era temple, blends houses, builder floors and flats, with offices nearby and Jogupalya next door. CV Raman Nagar, sometimes called Greater Indiranagar, stretches east towards Kaggadasapura and Baiyappanahalli, from a government research staff township to older apartment blocks, independent houses, newer gated communities and a large tech park. Old Airport Road, which gives the zone its name, is called after HAL Airport, which stopped scheduled commercial flights on 24 May 2008.

Namma Metro started here. The first section, from MG Road to Baiyappanahalli on today's Purple Line, opened on 20 October 2011 and includes two stations inside Indiranagar: Indiranagar and Swami Vivekananda Road. Baiyappanahalli is the nearest station for the last leg to CV Raman Nagar. Because the Purple Line now runs continuously from the western suburbs through the centre to Whitefield, a tutor from Vijayanagar or KR Puram can reach these homes with only a short walk or auto at the end.

Domlur has no station. Tutors either take the Purple Line to Indiranagar and an auto, or a BMTC bus to the large Domlur bus terminus. The Domlur flyover, open since 12 July 2006, is where Old Airport Road, 100 Feet Road and the Inner Ring Road meet, and it is the point to avoid at office closing time.

Requests can come from long-standing families in Indiranagar's houses, from flats in Domlur, or from the township and gated complexes of CV Raman Nagar. Write the boards you actually teach, the classes, and whether you teach at home, online or both.

When a family here sends a request, tutors who live in the zone are listed first, then tutors who already travel here, then the wider city, then online tutors. Two or three reach the family. For a tutor outside the zone, adding Indiranagar, Domlur or CV Raman Nagar as travel areas is what lifts you above the citywide list.

Entry varies street by street. Independent houses in Indiranagar and older parts of Domlur are an ordinary doorstep visit, so ask for the stage or cross road so you are not searching on arrival. Apartment buildings may keep a visitor log. In CV Raman Nagar, the research staff township and the gated complexes expect the family to give your name at the gate beforehand; ask for that before the demo rather than on the day.

Evening crowds on 100 Feet Road and 80 Feet Road, and office traffic at the Domlur flyover and on Old Madras Road, are the main timing factors. Start Indiranagar lessons before the evening crowd builds, so that arriving from the station stays predictable week after week. Shift changes at the tech park inside CV Raman Nagar also load Old Madras Road, so an after-school lesson that ends before them runs more smoothly. Mid-afternoon and weekend slots are easier to keep regular than ones at office closing time, especially through the board-exam months.
