Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Malleshwaram, Rajajinagar & Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru
Some of Bengaluru's oldest planned neighbourhoods are in this north-west inner belt, and most families here live in houses or small buildings rather than towers. Malleshwaram was laid out in 1889 around Sampige Road and Margosa Road; its grid of crosses and mains mixes older independent houses, many being rebuilt as small apartment blocks, with newer 2 and 3 BHK flats, and Seshadripuram is next door. Sadashivanagar, built in the 1960s and 1970s on former palace gardens once called Palace Orchards, is mostly big houses and bungalows along broad, quiet streets.
No open home-tuition requests in Malleshwaram, Rajajinagar & Yeshwanthpur right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; add Malleshwaram, Rajajinagar & Yeshwanthpur to your travel areas so they can reach you.
Rajajinagar was inaugurated on 3 July 1949 with separate housing and industrial areas; in its numbered blocks some original plots still carry a single family house while others now hold flats. Mahalakshmi Layout, sometimes called Temple Layout, with Nandini Layout and Kurubarahalli nearby, is chiefly houses and builder-built floors. Yeshwanthpur grew around a railway junction commissioned in 1881 and runs from older homes in pockets like Subedarpalya to gated apartment complexes near Peenya and Jalahalli. For a tutor, the zone offers short trips between stations and, in most homes, a direct knock at the door.
Think of the Green Line as the spine of this zone. Its Reach 3 opened on 1 March 2014, from Sampige Road through Srirampura, Rajajinagar, Mahalakshmi and Sandal Soap Factory to Yeshwanthpur, whose station faces the railway junction on Tumkur Road; Goraguntepalya is next to the north. Sampige Road and Srirampura serve Malleshwaram, while Rajajinagar and Mahalakshmi stations sit on Chord Road. A tutor coming from the Jayanagar side, further south on the same line, can reach every one of these stops without changing trains and then walk or take a short auto.
Sadashivanagar has no station inside it. Tutors ride to a Malleshwaram stop and finish by auto, or come in along Bellary Road.
Families in this zone, like the rest of Bengaluru, ask for Karnataka board SSLC and PUC support as well as CBSE, ICSE and ISC, and IB or IGCSE subjects. The board facts that matter for your profile are city facts, not zone figures: for PUC, say whether you teach Kannada-medium or English-medium textbooks; for CBSE, mention that you start from the NCERT chapter; for ICSE and ISC, mention written-answer practice. A parent choosing between two or three tutors will read those lines.
From the tutor's side, the matching goes like this. A request from Malleshwaram, Sadashivanagar, Rajajinagar, Mahalakshmi Layout or Yeshwanthpur lists tutors who live in the zone first, then tutors who travel here regularly, then the remainder of the city, then online tutors. If you live a few Green Line stops away, list these localities as travel areas so you come before the citywide group.
Since most homes are houses or builder floors, you will usually ring the bell rather than sign in at a society gate. In Malleshwaram, ask for the cross and main road numbers, which is how addresses are given. Sadashivanagar is different: many of the large homes employ a guard, so the family should pass on your name before the first lesson. Yeshwanthpur's apartment complexes may keep visitor registers; ask for your name to be added there too.
Chord Road, Tumkur Road and the Malleshwaram market roads slow down in the evening. In Malleshwaram, a slightly earlier slot avoids the market crowd; on Chord Road and Tumkur Road, a weekday lesson that starts a little later is often easier to reach on time. Bellary Road, the way into Sadashivanagar by road, is heavy in the evening as well, so an early or late slot works better there. Tutors who use the Green Line between stations avoid most of this, which is one reason the line matters so much in this zone.
If you teach more than one student here, try to keep them on the same stretch of the line, such as Rajajinagar and Mahalakshmi, which are one stop apart.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Mahalakshmi station on Chord Road, which shares the layout's name; Rajajinagar is one stop along. From either, a short auto covers the rest.
Usually the family tells their guard your name before the first visit. Ask the parent to do that, and note that there is no metro station inside Sadashivanagar, so allow time for an auto from Malleshwaram.
Yes. Tick both modes on your profile. After the demo, agree the split with the parent; a weekly home visit plus a short online doubt session is one pattern families use.
It is your decision. The family sees your fee on your profile before the free demo. Joining is free, and the section below covers leads, credits and how you get paid.
Yes. It sits on the same Green Line as Jayanagar and Banashankari, so a tutor can ride straight through. Tumkur Road is congested at peak hours, so a lesson that starts slightly later in the evening tends to begin on time.
