Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Bengaluru
Physics students in Bengaluru are usually juggling more than one target. A second PUC student may be writing the KSEAB paper in March, the KCET a few weeks later and perhaps JEE Main as well; a CBSE or ISC student may have coaching three evenings a week; an IB student is working on an internal assessment. Each rewards a different kind of practice, and the tutor who can say which one a student needs this month is the one families keep.
No open physics requests in Bengaluru right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
If that is the kind of teaching you do, joining NXTutors is free. You decide the classes, boards and zones, choose home, online or both, and set your fee, which parents see before a free demo. This page describes Bengaluru physics demand, travel and what wins the job.
Senior state-board students are a large part of the work. The II PUC Physics paper in the board's 2026-27 material is 70 marks over three hours in Parts A to D, and the board is blunt about two rules: an answer that needs a diagram earns nothing without it, and a numerical without the formula and working earns nothing. The 30-mark practical runs for two hours, with 20 for performing the experiment (principle, formula, diagram, observation table, readings, calculation and a result with units), 5 for attendance and 5 for the record. A tutor who drills those habits early saves cheap marks.
KCET sits right behind the board. KEA's 2026 bulletin describes four separate 60-question papers, one mark each, no negative marking, 80 minutes with the first ten for filling in the OMR sheet. For engineering, KEA combines CET physics, chemistry and maths marks with the II PUC marks in those subjects in equal shares, so a weak board result costs twice. That just over a minute per question is why PUC physics tutors are asked to add timed MCQ sets without dropping written derivations.
CBSE Class 12 physics is a 70-mark, three-hour theory paper of 33 questions; electrostatics through alternating current makes up 33 marks and optics with electromagnetic waves 18. ISC, IB SL and HL, and IGCSE physics bring their own formats, and JEE or NEET students want speed on multi-step problems or accuracy on NCERT concepts. Most physics requests in the city name a target clearly; your profile should match it just as clearly.
A PU science student's week is full of college hours and travel, so families favour a tutor whose own journey is short and repeatable. Vijayanagar, RR Nagar and Kengeri have several Purple Line stations, so tutors from that side skip most of the Mysore Road traffic. The Yellow Line gives BTM, Bannerghatta Road and Electronic City a quick route down Hosur Road. Malleshwaram, Rajajinagar and Yeshwanthpur are a short walk or auto from Green Line stations, though Chord Road and Tumkur Road slow down at peak hours.
Hebbal, RT Nagar and Yelahanka have no metro yet and airport and office traffic funnels through the Hebbal flyover, so a tutor living on the family's side of it keeps evening slots far more reliably. In Frazer Town and Cooke Town plan an auto from the nearest Purple Line station or come by road. On evenings when college runs late, families prefer a physics session moved online with the same tutor to a cancelled one, so offering both modes widens your reach.
Bengaluru parents comparing physics tutors look for evidence that you know the paper their child sits this year. Put the board, class and exam in your headline, and say whether you teach PUC physics in English or Kannada medium. Name your metro line and the zones you will reach by early evening. A tutor who says "II PUC and KCET physics, Green Line from Yeshwanthpur to Jayanagar, online elsewhere" is easier to choose than one with a long list of everything.
At the demo, ask for a recent test and sort each lost mark into a pile: concept, units, diagram, time. Then run ten one-mark questions in about twelve minutes for a KCET student, or rebuild one derivation from its diagram for a board student. Finish with a written month plan the parent can keep. The modules further down this page explain leads, credits and how you get paid.

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.
A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
The board's 2026-27 material sets 70 marks over three hours in Parts A to D. Answers missing a needed diagram, and numericals without formula and working, earn nothing, so method on paper matters as much as the concept.
Usually not. The CET syllabus is based on the I and II PUC syllabus, so the same tutor can teach the chapter and then practise it as one-mark MCQs. What changes is pace: 60 questions in 70 answering minutes. Confirm current rules with KEA.
Yes. KEA's bulletin says the CET syllabus covers I and II PUC, so chapters that never appear in the II PUC paper can still appear in the CET. Families who understand that ask for steady tuition from the first PU year.
Vijayanagar, RR Nagar and Kengeri and Indiranagar on the Purple Line, Malleshwaram and Jayanagar on the Green Line, and BTM to Electronic City on the Yellow Line. Hebbal, Hennur and Bannerghatta Road still depend on road travel.
Yes. IB Diploma physics at SL and HL and IGCSE physics specialists are spread thinly across the city, and many such students mix one home visit with online sessions. List the course and level you have taught.
