Classes 1–12; board examinations in Classes 10 and 12
Chandigarh is a Union Territory, so the national board is the one most tutors here meet first. CBSE's 2026-27 secondary curriculum sets most major Class 10 subjects at an 80-mark paper plus 20 marks of internal assessment, and from 2026 Class 10 has a compulsory first board examination and an optional second one for improvement.
