Tutoring in Delhi

Delhi has a detailed tuition-jobs page of its own, divided into zones such as Dwarka, Rohini and Mayur Vihar with Patparganj, each with the colonies a tutor can choose to cover. This state page is for tutors whose base sits outside those listed colonies, in places like Narela, Bawana, Najafgarh or Burari on the outer edge of the territory, and for anyone who wants to teach mostly online. Write your exact locality when you join. Home requests are offered to the nearest suitable tutors first, then to the same zone, so precise information is what gets a nearby family's request to you.

A Delhi student may be on CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE or IB, and the board each family follows is stated in their request. Tell us all the boards and classes you teach, and whether you prefer Hindi or English medium. Every request ends in a shortlist of two or three tutors; the family sees each fee you have set, takes a free first class, and is free to switch later if the fit is not right. Outer Delhi tutors can also say whether they will travel into a neighbouring zone, such as Rohini or Dwarka, for a home class.

How you get tuition work on NXTutors

Six steps from applying to your first class. Swipe to see each step.

  1. Sign up with a one-time code

Sign up from Narela, Najafgarh or any outer-Delhi locality with a one-time code sent to your phone or email. Add your block, the colonies you will visit and whether you teach online.

  2. Upload your ID; our team reviews it

Upload a government photo ID through the dashboard. Our team reviews it against your profile, which stays pending until then, and one ID number can only ever belong to one tutor account.

  3. Your profile carries the Verified badge

With the review complete, your profile carries the Verified badge, showing the CBSE, ICSE, IB or IGCSE classes you teach, your medium and your fee.

  4. A family nearby sends a request

A Delhi family near you sends a request naming the class, board and subject. Two or three tutors are shortlisted: nearest first, then the zone and the city, then online.

  5. Free demo; the family sees your fee first

Your first class with the family is a free demo for them, and they saw your fee beforehand. Teach the topic the student is on at school this week.

  6. Teach at home, online or both

If they carry on, you teach at home, online or both, on days agreed with the parent. Update your colonies and hours as your timetable changes.

School boards in Delhi

Boards families in Delhi ask tutors for, with the official site and our own board pages where we have them.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

Classes 1–12; board examinations in Classes 10 and 12

Our Delhi page calls CBSE the board most Delhi students sit. Its 2026-27 secondary curriculum puts about half of each paper into competency-focused questions and gives most major subjects 80 marks of board paper and 20 of internal assessment. From 2026 Class 10 has two board examinations, the second optional for improving up to three subjects.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes

A smaller group of Delhi students study for the IB, our city page notes. The Diploma combines final examinations with internally assessed work, and maths runs as Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation at Standard or Higher Level. Tutors guide the method of internal assessments without writing any of it.

Cambridge IGCSE

IGCSE, usually around Classes 9–10

Cambridge IGCSE also serves a smaller group in Delhi. Preparation turns on command words, the right tier, Core or Extended, and past papers marked against the official scheme. An outer-Delhi tutor with IGCSE experience can mark online teaching, since these families often look across the city for a specialist.

Cities in Delhi

Teaching in other towns of Delhi

Apply with your town: home classes are matched when families near you ask, and online classes can come from anywhere in India.

Narela

Narela tutors can join from this page even though our Delhi city page is organised by zones. Name your own block or pocket, then add any neighbouring areas you will visit. Home requests start with the tutors living nearest the family, and online students can come from anywhere.

Bawana

If you live in Bawana and prefer to teach without travelling, choose online only; matching then depends on subject, class and board. If you are happy to visit nearby colonies, add them by name so a family close to you is offered your profile first.

Najafgarh

Najafgarh tutors who are willing to travel into Dwarka should list the exact sectors, not the whole sub-city. That way you sit in the shortlist for requests you can reach on a weekday evening, and you are not offered families too far for regular classes.

Alipur

An Alipur tutor with free mornings can list them; some students, at home or online, prefer an early slot before school, while others want the late afternoon. Give every hour you can genuinely keep, and each request will show which one a family wants.

Burari

Burari teachers with CBSE experience should mention the classes and the subjects separately, for instance Class 8 science and Class 10 maths. Requests carry class, board and subject together, and a specific profile matches more cleanly than a general one.

Kanjhawala

Kanjhawala tutors who are happy to teach two children from one household, perhaps in different classes, can say so on their profile. A family with siblings may ask for exactly that, and the demo is the place to agree how the hour is shared.

Nangloi

In Nangloi, a tutor who teaches in Hindi as well as English can say which medium suits each subject. A child who studies in one language is then not sent a tutor who teaches in the other, and stating it up front avoids a demo that does not suit anyone.

Mundka

Mundka tutors who cover senior classes can mark online hours for specialist subjects and keep home classes for younger students close by. That hybrid pattern is easy to show on the profile and lets a family pick the arrangement that suits their child.

Chhawla

From Chhawla, give the precise locality where you live, then decide how far you will go for a home class. A short travel list keeps the requests you receive practical. Add ICSE, IB or IGCSE only if you have taught those courses yourself.

Badarpur

Badarpur tutors near the Faridabad side who can also visit there should add those Faridabad localities by name. The Faridabad tuition-jobs page has its own zones; listing specific places keeps home requests within reach while online teaching stays open across India.

Women tutors welcome

For women tutors: you set the terms

Women who tutor from Delhi's outer villages and colonies, from Narela to Chhawla, can join NXTutors on their own terms. Choose home, online or hybrid teaching, name only the blocks and pockets you will visit, and set hours that fit your day. Every tutor who joins confirms a phone or email with a one-time code and uploads a government photo ID that our team reviews; real tutors who pass carry a Verified badge. Families meet you first at a demo class where we ask a parent to be at home, and you can end an arrangement and tell us whenever you need to.

  • Pick home, online or hybrid teaching on your profile.
  • Give only the blocks, pockets or colonies you are happy to visit.
  • Keep the hours that suit you; evenings only is fine.
  • Meet each new family at a demo where we ask a parent to be at home.
  • In a gated society, ask for your name on the gate register or visitor app.
  • Teach in a shared room and keep messages with the parent.
  • Stop any classes that worry you and tell us straight away.

Read the safeguarding policy and how the ID check works.

Why tutors choose NXTutors

What is different from a directory listing or a tuition bureau.

  • You set your fee

Your fee per class is on your profile, and families see it before the demo, so there is no haggling after a good class.

  • Matched, nearest first

Each request goes to two or three tutors who fit it, nearest first, not to a long list of people chasing the same family.

  • Demo first

The first class is a free demo. Families decide after meeting you, not from a phone call or a price list.

  • No made-up leads

We never show invented requests. The only request details on these pages are real and anonymised, and only once there are three or more.

  • An ID check for everyone

Every tutor who joins goes through the same ID check. Real tutors who pass carry the Verified badge; sample profiles are always labelled.

  • AI-first, with real teachers

Parents can ask NXT AI about your profile and compare tutors side by side. The teaching is always yours.

Tutor plans and what each includes

Tutor plans are listed on our pricing page with what each one includes. Read them before you apply; we do not quote prices on this page. Tutors are independent: you set your own fee, and families pay you for the classes they take.

Questions from tutors

My colony is not on the Delhi tuition-jobs page. Can I still join?

Yes. Name your locality when you join, and a request from a family near you can still reach you because matching goes nearest first. Online students are open to you whichever part of Delhi you live in.

Do I need to know CBSE's latest pattern?

If you teach CBSE students, it helps. The 2026-27 curriculum and sample papers are on cbseacademic.nic.in, and the two-examination rule for Class 10 from 2026 is set out on cbse.gov.in. Reading them before a demo lets you answer a parent's questions accurately.

How many tutors does a parent see?

Two or three. We start with the closest suitable tutors, then widen to the zone, the city and online. The parent sees each tutor's fee before the demo, the first class is free for the family, and they may switch later without a charge for doing so.

What ID do I need?

A government photo ID, which you upload after confirming your phone or email with a one-time code. Our team reviews it before your profile is marked Verified. It is an identity check, not a police or background check; the How we verify tutors page explains more.

Are tutor plans free?

Joining and onboarding cost nothing, and the Free plan comes with 160 lead credits a month. The paid plans listed on /pricing are optional subscriptions for extra visibility, AI tools and more credits, never a fee to apply for a tuition. The amount you charge per lesson is your own decision and is shown to the parent before the demo.

Can a woman tutor in outer Delhi choose online only?

Yes. Set the profile to online only and you are matched by subject, class and board rather than distance. You can add home classes later, limited to the blocks you name. Every new family meets you at a demo where we ask a parent to be at home first.

Which boards should I list from Delhi?

Our Delhi page names CBSE as the board most students sit, with ICSE and ISC widely followed and a smaller group on the IB or Cambridge IGCSE. List only what you have taught, by class and subject, and the request will tell you a family's board.

What is a hybrid arrangement?

It means teaching the same student both at home and online, for instance a home class on weekdays and an online doubt session before a test. Mark both on your profile, give your home localities, and agree the split with the parent during the demo.
