Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

The final school year in Hyderabad is crowded. State board students sit the Intermediate second-year public examination in late February; CBSE, ISC and IB students have their own finals; and between February and May come TG EAPCET, JEE (Main), NEET (UG) and, for commerce and humanities, CUET. Each one rewards slightly different habits, and none can be skipped without consequences. Ajay Vatsyayan, whose subject is ISC and IB maths, and the NXTutors Academic Team have put together what each board expects in the last year, how board results feed into entrance eligibility, where the 2026-27 dates fall, and how to choose and schedule a tutor.
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education sets the second-year papers by group. MPC students take Mathematics IIA and IIB with physics and chemistry; BiPC students take botany, zoology, physics and chemistry; commerce groups take their own papers alongside English and a second language. TGBIE's tentative calendar for 2026-27 places practical examinations in the last week of January 2027 and theory papers from the last week of February, with advanced supplementary examinations in the third week of May for anyone who needs another attempt.
The new internal assessment rules TGBIE has published for 2026-27 are written for the first year, so check with the college what applies to second-year papers. A second-year tutor's job is consistent: teach from the board's textbooks, work through past IPE papers under time, and make sure the practical record and lab skills are ready well before January. See Telangana board tutors in Hyderabad for the state syllabus as a whole.
| Board | Key facts | Where a tutor helps |
|---|---|---|
| CBSE Class 12 | Maths 80 theory + 20 internal; physics and chemistry 70 theory + 30 practical; papers on NCERT | Practical files and viva, and full working on long answers |
| ISC Class 12 | Maths (860): 80 marks on paper, 20 for the project; in 2027 and 2028 all seven units are compulsory, with no Section B or C to choose from, and calculus carries 35 of the 80 | Calculus depth and project guidance without writing it |
| IB Diploma, Year 2 | Subjects graded 1 to 7, up to three points from TOK and the Extended Essay, 45 maximum; 24 points among the pass criteria | Exam technique for HL papers; explaining IA criteria only |
On every board the coursework belongs to the student. A tutor can explain the criteria and challenge the reasoning, but should never pick the topic or write or edit any part of it. More on each board: CBSE, ISC and IB tutors in Hyderabad; our Class 12 maths guide goes deeper into calculus.
In 2026, JEE (Advanced) took the first 2,50,000 JEE (Main) candidates (jeeadv.ac.in). Applicants for B.Arch in Telangana were pointed to NATA rather than EAPCET. Every figure changes year to year, so read the current notices. More detail: TS EAPCET tutors, JEE and NEET home tutors in Hyderabad.
| Stretch | What happens | Tutoring focus |
|---|---|---|
| June to September | New chapters; the monsoon months; coaching test series begin | Board-style answers each week alongside entrance practice on the same chapter |
| October | Half-yearly exams in junior colleges (3 to 9 October on TGBIE's calendar), then the Dussehra break | Use the half-yearly scripts to choose which chapters to fix over the break |
| November to December | Syllabus completion; practical records; CBSE and ISC pre-boards | Full papers and lab preparation; lighter entrance work for those weeks |
| January | Pre-finals (18 to 23 January) and Inter practicals | Viva practice and timed theory papers |
| February to March | Inter, CBSE and ISC theory papers; the first JEE (Main) session falls in the first part of the year | Paper-by-paper revision only |
| April to May | Second JEE (Main) session, JEE (Advanced), NEET (UG) and TG EAPCET, which was held in May in 2026; IB papers in May | Timed entrance practice, with two answering styles |
TG EAPCET is computer-based; JEE (Main) deducts marks for wrong answers. A student sitting both should practise each style deliberately. Take every date from the official notices.
Usually not. In Class 12 the depth of each paper, its practical component and its entrance twin make a generalist stretch thin. Someone who has prepared dozens of students for Inter Maths IIB may be new to the ISC calculus paper, and a strong CBSE chemistry teacher may have no feel for EAPCET's speed. Choose by the paper, not by the subject name:
Two specialists is a sensible ceiling. More than that, on top of college and coaching, eats the hours a student needs for solving papers alone.
Coaching gives structure, a test series and a sense of where a student stands among many others. What it rarely gives is time for one student's questions. A home tutor fills that gap in three ways: clearing the backlog of problems left unsolved after each coaching test, lifting the single subject that drags the total down, and keeping board-style answers and practical records alive while the coaching focus is on multiple choice.
It only works if the two are joined up. Share the coaching schedule and test dates with the tutor, ask them to work on that week's chapters, and put home lessons on days without coaching. Signs that extra help is overdue: scores flat for a month, one subject far below the others, or a student who follows every solution but cannot begin a new problem.
Practical marks are among the most reliable in the final year, and among the easiest to lose through a scrappy record or a nervous viva. From November onwards, a tutor can go through the list of experiments with the student, check that every one is written up and certified in the record book, and run short mock vivas: what was measured, why the method works, what the main sources of error are, and how the graph should look. For Inter students, the practical examinations come before the theory papers on TGBIE's calendar, so this preparation cannot be left until after the pre-finals.
| Zone | Common route | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Kukatpally, Miyapur & Nizampet | Kukatpally or Balanagar on the Red Line | Before the highway peak |
| Manikonda, Narsingi & Kokapet | Raidurg, then a cab or auto; many tutors drive in | A home lesson a week and online sessions between |
| Ameerpet, Begumpet & Punjagutta | Ameerpet interchange, reachable from both metro lines | Just before or well after the evening crowds |
| Secunderabad, Marredpally & Tarnaka | Tarnaka or Mettuguda on the Blue Line | Share the colony name and a pin; inner lanes look alike |
| Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar & Vanasthalipuram | Dilsukhnagar station on the Red Line | Early evening or weekends, away from the main-road peak |
| Mehdipatnam, Tolichowki & Attapur | Bus or two-wheeler; a flyover now runs from Tolichowki towards the IT district | After the crossroads clear in the evening |
In the last year, time is the scarcest thing a student has. Online sessions remove the journey on coaching days and let you pick the strongest specialist for one subject, wherever they live. Home sessions are worth keeping for long problem-solving stretches, practical preparation and students who fade on screen. Many Hyderabad families use a tutor for a weekly home lesson plus a short online doubt session.
The first class is free, and switching later costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check before their profile is marked Verified.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. For Class 12, the subject, the entrance level, the board and the journey decide the quote; you see every fee before the demo. For budgeting, read our pricing guide and the Hyderabad tuition fees article.
Kukatpally, one of the most densely populated parts of the city, has Red Line stations along the highway, so many homes are a short walk or auto from the metro. Manikonda ranges from high-rise townships to houses in older colonies; tutors ride to Raidurg and finish by cab. Ameerpet sits on the Red and Blue Line interchange, which widens the choice of tutors more than anywhere else.
Tarnaka, on the Inner Ring Road, has its own Blue Line station and colonies such as Vijayapuri and Snehapuri. Dilsukhnagar is one of the east's busiest commercial hubs, where a tutor on the metro is usually more punctual than one driving, and Tolichowki, on the road towards Gachibowli, is mostly apartment buildings with a gate entry for visitors.
Before this year, Class 11 tutors in Hyderabad cover Inter first year. Tell us the board or group, subjects, entrance plans and free days, and we suggest two or three tutors with fees shown. You can request a free demo class, look through tutor profiles, or start from the Hyderabad home tutors page.
To arrange a Class 12 home tutor in Hyderabad, send the board or Inter group, the weak subjects, the entrance tests in view, your coaching timetable, locality and free slots. We shortlist two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
A Hyderabad Class 12 student should plan around TGBIE's published calendar, where practical examinations come before the theory papers and pre-finals come before both. Leave room for practical records and viva practice early, not after the pre-finals. Dates change, so confirm the final timetable on the TGBIE website when it is announced.
Inter marks matter for TG EAPCET eligibility for Hyderabad students: the 2026 notification required at least 45%, or 40% for reserved categories, in the MPC or BiPC subjects taken together. Ranks in 2026 were based on normalised EAPCET marks alone, so the test decides the rank, but a weak board result can still shut the door.
A Hyderabad Class 12 student rarely does well with one tutor for every subject, because each needs someone who knows its board paper, practical rules and entrance version. Most students do better with one or two specialists for the subjects where college and mock tests lose marks, rather than one generalist covering everything thinly.
Yes, a home tutor can work alongside entrance coaching for Class 12 in Hyderabad, clearing the doubts and weak subject a large batch cannot. The tutor keeps board-style writing and practicals on track. Share the coaching timetable so the tutor covers the same chapters that week, and place sessions on non-coaching days.
Yes, NXTutors matches ISC and IB Class 12 tutors in Hyderabad on the exact subject, such as ISC Mathematics (860) with its project, or an IB Diploma subject and level. Tutors explain criteria and question reasoning but never write or edit coursework. Specialists may live across the city, so many lessons run online or as a hybrid.
Yes, Hyderabad Class 12 students should answer TG EAPCET differently from JEE (Main). EAPCET is a computer-based test with normalised marks across sessions, while JEE (Main) deducts a mark for each wrong answer. A student sitting both should practise careful selection for JEE and steady coverage for EAPCET, checking the current notifications.
A Hyderabad Class 12 student should prepare practicals and viva well before the theory papers. A tutor can check that every experiment is written up and certified in the record book, then run short mock vivas on what was measured, why the method works, the main sources of error and how the graph should look.
In the final year in Hyderabad, online tuition saves the journey on coaching days and lets you pick the strongest specialist for one subject, wherever they live. Home sessions are worth keeping for long problem-solving stretches, practical preparation and students who fade on screen. Many families use a weekly home lesson plus a short online doubt session.
It is not too late to start a Class 12 tutor mid-year in Hyderabad if the goal is realistic. After the half-yearly exams a tutor can still lift a weak subject, sharpen exam technique and prepare practicals and viva. Rebuilding a whole syllabus is harder, so pick the one or two subjects where help will move the result most.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. For Class 12 in Hyderabad, the subject, board, entrance focus and travel at your slot set the quote, and every shortlisted fee is shown before the free demo.
