What home tuition costs in Hyderabad

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Physics home tutor in Hyderabad: one subject, two exams, and a plan that serves both

For a great many Hyderabad students, senior physics is studied twice over: once for the board, whether that is CBSE, ISC or Telangana Intermediate, and once for JEE or NEET. The chapters overlap, but the two exams reward different skills, and physics is the subject where a gap costs most in both. NXTutors shortlists two or three physics tutors who teach your child's board and entrance target and can reach your neighbourhood at the hour left after school and coaching. You see each fee before meeting, and the first class is a free demo.

Which of five routes through senior physics is your child on?

Common combinations of board and entrance target for Hyderabad students, and what physics tuition should weight
Board in Classes 11–12Entrance targetTuition should weight
CBSE scienceJEE (Main), perhaps JEE (Advanced)Multi-step problems at speed, plus derivations and diagrams for the board
CBSE scienceNEET (UG)Accurate NCERT concepts and fewer risky attempts, plus written board answers
Telangana Intermediate, MPC groupJEEThe state syllabus checked against NTA's list, then timed entrance practice
Telangana Intermediate, BiPC groupNEETNCERT-level physics concepts alongside state textbooks
ISC or IB DiplomaOften none, or study abroadThe board's own style: fuller written answers for ISC, data and uncertainty for IB

Intermediate is conducted by the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education, which publishes its own syllabus and scheme; we do not reproduce the state pattern here. The point for families is simple: entrance syllabi are set by NTA, not by any school board, so a tutor should compare the two lists before dropping a topic.

What do JEE and NEET actually ask of physics?

JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced)

In 2026 NTA held JEE (Main) Paper 1 in January and April sessions as a three-hour computer-based test; a candidate could sit either or both, and the better score counted. Physics supplied 25 of the 75 questions, 20 multiple-choice in Section A and 5 with numerical answers in Section B, each worth +4 when right and −1 when wrong. JEE (Advanced), for IIT admission, has two compulsory papers sat on one day, and in 2026 only the first 2,50,000 successful JEE (Main) candidates across categories could register. Advanced physics rewards depth: several ideas inside a single problem, practised on past Advanced papers.

NEET (UG)

The 2026 paper was one pen-and-paper sitting of three hours with 180 four-option questions for 720 marks. Physics had 45 of them, worth 180 marks, marked +4 and −1. Many NEET students are comfortable in biology but find physics hardest to score in, because it needs both concept and calculation, and under negative marking an uncertain student loses marks by guessing. That is exactly where one-to-one help tends to pay off.

Patterns are fixed afresh each year and the 2027 bulletins are not out, so check nta.ac.in, jeemain.nta.nic.in and jeeadv.ac.in before planning. Useful reads: the JEE physics topic-wise guide, high-yield NEET physics chapters, and the JEE physics tutor and NEET physics tutor pages.

How should a tutor read a physics mock test?

A score says little on its own. After each coaching or practice test, the tutor should sort every lost mark into one of five types, because each needs a different fix:

Five reasons a physics mark is lost, how each shows up, and the remedy a tutor should apply
TypeHow it shows upRemedy
Concept not knownNo idea where to startReteach the chapter from its core idea, then graded problems
Concept misappliedRight law, wrong situation, such as momentum where energy was neededMixed sets where the student must name the principle before solving
Calculation slipCorrect set-up, wrong numberUnits carried on every line; estimate the size of the answer first
Misread questionAnswered a different question from the one setUnderline what is asked and the given quantities before writing
Out of time, or guessedBlank or wrong answers at the end of the paperTimed sections and a rule for when to skip; in NEET, guesses cost marks

What is in the CBSE Class 12 physics theory paper?

The 2026-27 sample paper keeps last year's design: 70 theory marks over three hours from 33 compulsory questions, with no calculator and values of constants supplied. By content, electrostatics through alternating current makes up 33 marks, close to half; optics with electromagnetic waves, the largest single block, 18; dual nature, atoms and nuclei 12; and semiconductor electronics 7. Transistors and logic gates have left the syllabus, so older notes need pruning. Section A carries 16 one-mark items, 12 multiple-choice and 4 assertion–reason; B five two-mark questions; C seven three-mark; D two four-mark case studies; and E three five-mark answers. Only around 38% of marks reward recall. There is one main Class 12 board exam, and 2027 dates are awaited on cbse.gov.in. See Class 12 physics strategies and the Class 12 physics tutor page.

Where can a tutor help with the 30 practical marks?

Two experiments, one per section, earn 7 marks each; the record 5; an activity 3; the investigatory project 3; and the viva 5. The record needs at least eight experiments and six activities, split evenly between the two sections, plus the project report. Apparatus stays at school, but at home a tutor can check each write-up for aim, diagram and observation table, go over sources of error, and run a mock viva built on "why" questions.

If your child already attends coaching, how should a tutor fit in?

  • Work from a doubt list. Each day the student notes unsolved questions with the source and the step that stalled; the session starts there.
  • Follow the coaching calendar. Share the schedule so the tutor reinforces this week's chapter rather than a different one.
  • Target the costly chapters. Use test data to pick the two or three chapters losing most marks, instead of re-covering everything.
  • Switch styles before school exams. The same tutor can move from entrance problems to board-style derivations for the same chapter.
  • Review monthly. Which chapters improved, and what comes next.

Our comparison of coaching and a home tutor for JEE goes deeper; NEET families can read the NEET version.

Can a physics tutor reach you after coaching in these six localities?

Senior physics often starts late in the evening. Whether a tutor can keep that hour depends on the route; browse tutors by locality on our Hyderabad page.

Evening physics tuition in six Hyderabad localities: housing, the nearest rail link and what to arrange
LocalityHomesRail linkWhat to arrange
GachibowliHigh-rise towers and gated communities, some villa enclavesNo station of its own; Raidurg, the Blue Line's western end, then auto or cabAllow for gate registration in the start time; weekday office traffic near the ORR junction is heavy
MiyapurAffordable and premium apartment communities, older coloniesThe Red Line's terminus, running since November 2017Share the tutor's details with the society gate; start before the rush at Miyapur X Roads
KokapetTowers, gated communities and villas, much of it in the planned Neopolis layoutNone; Raidurg is nearest, so most tutors come by road via the ORRSome complexes need the family to approve entry; online sessions widen the choice while nearby supply grows
HimayatnagarMulti-storey buildings and independent houses in residential lanesNarayanguda and Chikkadpally on the Green Line, Assembly on the Red LineHouses allow a doorstep arrival; begin before the evening rush on the main roads
TarnakaApartments, independent houses and builder floorsTarnaka on the Blue Line, with Mettuguda and Habsiguda either sideParking is scarce near the main road, so a tutor arriving by metro is often simpler
UppalMainly apartment blocks, some houses in older coloniesUppal and Stadium on the Blue Line, Nagole one stop awayTell the gate the tutor's name; slots a little after the office rush work better

On the latest coaching evenings, one online session a week with the same tutor keeps the plan going without a late journey.

What should IB, ISC and IGCSE physics families check?

IB Diploma: a new guide was first assessed in May 2025, replacing core-plus-options and Paper 3 with five themes, A to E. Recommended teaching time is 150 hours at SL and 240 at HL. Two papers make up 80% of the grade and the scientific investigation 20%; the investigation is the student's own, so a tutor may discuss the plan but writes none of it. See our IB physics SL and HL guide. ISC: theory, practical and project work set by CISCE, with answers expected in fuller detail than a short CBSE line. Cambridge IGCSE: Core or Extended tier; students moving into Class 11 or Intermediate afterwards often need early work on vectors, graphs and derivations.

Class 11 is usually the cheapest time to start. Motion, forces, energy and rotation lean on vectors, graphs and rates of change, and Class 12 electrostatics reuses those tools. The Class 11 physics tutor page goes chapter by chapter, and maths tutors in Hyderabad can shore up the calculus that physics borrows.

How much does a physics home tutor in Hyderabad cost?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor quotes their own rate, shaped by the target from board paper to JEE Advanced, their experience at that level, the evening trip to your locality and how many sessions you book. The same tutor may charge less online. You see every fee before the demo.

How do you book a physics demo in Hyderabad?

Tell us the class or Intermediate year, the board, whether the target is JEE, NEET or the board alone, your locality and building, and the evenings still free after school and coaching. We reply with two or three matched physics tutors and their fees, and you pick one for a free demo class. If the fit is wrong, another demo follows, and changing tutor later costs nothing. Where no suitable tutor can travel at your hour, we suggest online or mixed sessions. NXTutors works from Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online across India; the national physics home tutor page has the wider picture.

Physics Home Tutor in Hyderabad: common questions

How much does a physics home tutor in Hyderabad charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Rates are set by each tutor, and all shortlisted fees are visible before the free demo.

How much physics was there in JEE Main and NEET in 2026?

JEE Main Paper 1 had 25 physics questions out of 75: 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical-value. NEET (UG) had 45 physics questions out of 180, worth 180 of 720 marks. Both scored +4 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one. Confirm the 2027 bulletins before planning.

Can a tutor teach Telangana Intermediate physics and JEE together?

Yes, if the tutor treats them as two lists. The Board of Intermediate Education sets the state syllabus, while NTA sets the JEE syllabus, and the two need not match. A good plan brings each chapter to board standard, then adds timed entrance problems on it within the same week.

Why do so many NEET students struggle with physics?

Physics needs concepts and calculation together, and questions often combine two ideas. A student who memorises formulas without knowing when to apply them gets stuck, and negative marking punishes guessing. A tutor can find whether the concept, the set-up or the arithmetic is failing and fix that chapter by chapter.

Which part of the CBSE Class 12 physics paper carries most marks?

Electrostatics through alternating current together carry 33 of the 70 theory marks. Optics with electromagnetic waves is the largest single block at 18, dual nature, atoms and nuclei give 12, and semiconductor electronics 7. Transistors and logic gates are out of the syllabus, so skip notes that still include them.

Should my child have a physics tutor as well as coaching?

It helps when coaching scores stay flat for several tests, doubts pile up unasked, or one subject lags the others. The tutor should work from a daily doubt list, analyse each mock by mistake type and concentrate on the chapters losing most marks, rather than repeating the coaching syllabus.

Can a physics tutor come to Gachibowli in the evening?

Yes. Gachibowli has no metro station of its own, so tutors take the Blue Line to Raidurg and finish by auto or cab, or come by road. Most homes are in gated societies, so register the tutor at the gate and keep one online session for the latest coaching nights.

Has IB Diploma physics changed recently?

Yes. A new guide was first assessed in May 2025. It drops the options and Paper 3 and organises the syllabus into five themes, A to E. Two papers give 80% of the grade and the scientific investigation 20%. Make sure any revision book was written for the current course.
