Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Yes, a child at Ashiana Classic can be taught at home or online. Tell NXTutors the class, board and subject, plus your floor and block, and we send two or three matched tutors who travel to Sector 49 from nearby sectors or teach online. You see each fee before you book, the first class is a free demo, and swapping tutors later costs nothing.
Ashiana Classic is the society its builder, Ashiana Homes, lists as Classic Personal Floor: a completed low-rise project off Sohna Road, with flats laid out one home to a floor. That shape changes small things about tuition, from where the lesson happens to how a visitor reaches your door, and this guide walks through them. For the wider picture, see our Gurugram home tuition hub and the Sector 49 page.
| Point | What the public record shows |
|---|---|
| Builder's name for it | Classic Personal Floor, by Ashiana Homes, marked completed |
| Built | Work began in June 1998 and finished in August 2005, per the builder |
| Size | About 5.7 acres, by portal listings |
| Homes | 2 and 3 BHK flats, described as one home per floor |
| Sector | Sector 49 on most portals (one portal says Sector 50), on the Sohna Road side |
| Roads nearby | Southern Peripheral Road about 1 km, Golf Course Extension Road about 1.5 km, Sohna Road about 2 km (portal figures) |
| Nearest metro | None in walking range; Millennium City Centre (Yellow Line) and Sector 55–56 (Rapid Metro) are the closest rail points |
| Tutors usually come from | Sectors 47 to 50, South City II and the Sohna Road belt, plus online teachers |
Ashiana Classic is one of the older gated projects on this side of Gurugram. Ashiana Homes lists it among its completed Gurugram work, with a built-up area of about 2.5 lakh sq ft, started in 1998 and finished in 2005. That makes it one of the earlier housing projects around Sohna Road, built before the tall towers that now line the Southern Peripheral Road went up.
The name gives away its shape. Listings describe the homes as personal floors: low buildings in which each level is a single, separate flat, rather than a tower with several flats sharing a corridor. Sizes on portals run from 2 BHK homes of about 1,500 sq ft to 3 BHK homes of about 3,240 sq ft. Portals mention a central green, play areas with sand pits for small children, indoor games, power backup and round-the-clock security.
For a family hiring a tutor, three things follow from that layout:
Around the society, Sector 49 is busy. Portals put The Sapphire Mall a few hundred metres away and Vatika Business Park under a kilometre off, so offices, shops and evening traffic all sit close to the gate. The Vatika City and Orchid Petals societies are in the same sector.
Resident reviews of Sector 49 on property portals return to the same handful of points. None is about tuition directly, but each changes how you plan a weekly lesson.
Then come the questions every parent asks: will the same tutor keep the same slot for the year, does the tutor know how my child's board marks a long answer, and when should a senior student switch some lessons online? The sections below take those one at a time for Ashiana Classic.
There is no metro station within walking distance of Ashiana Classic. A portal guide notes that Sohna Road has no station of its own, and the nearest rail points are Millennium City Centre, the southern end of the Yellow Line in Sector 29, and Sector 55–56, the southern end of the Rapid Metro on Golf Course Road. A tutor who rides either line still needs a cab, auto or e-rickshaw for the last few kilometres, so most tutors who take a Sector 49 class travel by road.
Three roads frame the trip. Sohna Road runs north towards NH-48, with an elevated corridor above much of it, the Southern Peripheral Road runs east–west past Vatika Chowk, where it meets Sohna Road, and Golf Course Extension Road lies to the east. Vatika Chowk has been reported as one of the city's tightest junctions at peak hours, so a tutor crossing it at 6 pm will be slower than one crossing at 4 pm.
A planned metro from Sector 56 to Panchgaon is shown on official plans running through Sectors 50 and 49, but in September 2026 its revised project report was still being finalised. Plan around today's roads, not that line.
The shortest trips come from tutors already on this side of the city: Sector 48, Sector 50, South City II and the Sector 47 belt. We match on subject and board first and then on distance, so a tutor from a nearby sector is usually offered before one who would cross the whole city. Where no home tutor fits, we say so and suggest an online tutor in Gurgaon rather than stretch the commute.
Ashiana Classic is a gated society with its own security staff, so a tutor will be stopped at the gate on the first visit. A few minutes of setting up saves a lot of waiting:
On safety: tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, in which they confirm their phone with a one-time code and upload a government photo ID that our team reviews. It is not a police or background check, so keep your usual habits. See how we check tutors. Keep an adult at home for the first few classes, choose a room with the door open, and for younger children ask for a woman tutor if that is what you prefer. You can say so on the request form.
Requests from the Sohna Road side lean towards CBSE, with ICSE and the international boards coming up too. On the owner-approved list of Gurugram schools we may name, the one in this sector is DAV Public School, Sector 49, which follows CBSE. We have no tie-up with any school; the name is here only to show which board is close by.
What matters more for a home tutor is the routine, not the logo. A CBSE Class 9 or 10 student here usually needs steady NCERT-based practice and written answers set out the way the board marks them, so a tutor who sets one timed question each class helps. A student on ICSE or ISC needs more writing in English and fuller working in Maths and Science. IB and IGCSE students need a tutor who knows their criteria or paper tiers. Tell us the board on the request and we only show tutors who teach it, whether a CBSE home tutor in Gurgaon or someone for another syllabus.
If you are still weighing boards, our CBSE vs ICSE vs IB vs IGCSE guide covers the differences in detail.
Small children learn well in short, regular sessions in a familiar room. Two or three classes a week of forty-five minutes to an hour are usually enough for reading, handwriting, tables and early maths. In a floor-sized flat, keep the lesson in the same corner every time, away from the television, so the habit forms quickly. A primary home tutor should send a short note after class on what was covered, so you can repeat it at bedtime.
This is when subjects split and homework grows. Maths, Science and English are the usual asks, often from one tutor at first. Look for someone who checks the school notebook each visit, not just the textbook, and who gives a small weekly test so you can see whether a topic has settled.
The board year starts to show from Class 9. A maths tutor for Sector 49 will usually split each class between new work and past questions, with a timed answer at the end. For CBSE Class 10, the board now holds two examinations, the second optional for improvement, so a tutor should plan revision with both in mind. For Science, ask whether the tutor will work through diagrams and practicals as well as theory.
Senior classes need subject specialists. Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology and Accountancy are the senior subjects, and some families take a separate tutor for each. Lessons get longer, often ninety minutes, and the tutor should plan around school practical work and term tests as well as the board papers. Students also aiming at JEE or NEET may want a tutor who teaches the board syllabus and the entrance pattern side by side.
An IB or IGCSE student needs someone who knows the programme, not just the subject: assessment criteria, internal assessments and command terms for IB, and Core or Extended papers for Cambridge IGCSE. These tutors are fewer, so a mix of home visits and online classes is common.
The busy months for tutors on this side of the city follow the school calendar: term tests in the autumn, pre-boards in winter and board papers early in the year. CBSE, CISCE, the IB and Cambridge each publish their own timetables; we do not guess dates before they are announced. Book revision slots in October rather than January, when tutors fill up, and agree an extra weekend class in the last six weeks if your child needs it. On rain-heavy or smog-heavy days, an online class keeps the plan on track.
For a family in a low-rise floor at Ashiana Classic, home tuition is often the simplest choice for younger children: no trip through Sohna Road traffic, a quiet room at home and a parent close by. It also lets a tutor see the school notebook, which a centre rarely does.
Online lessons make most sense for senior specialists, IB and IGCSE subjects, or late slots when roads are busy. Many families mix the two: a home tutor twice a week and an online class once a week for practice papers. A coaching centre suits a student who works well in a group and has the time to travel. For a child who needs individual attention, one-to-one at home or online is the closer fit.
If you are unsure, start with a free home demo and ask the tutor what they suggest after one class.

We did not find a public library or reading room near Sector 49 in any source we could check, so this section stays short. The society's central green is pleasant for a break between subjects, but serious study is easier at home, in the room you use for lessons.
