Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

The Palm Drive is a large Emaar development on Golf Course Extension Road in Sector 66. It is made up of several named parts, from towers to low-rise homes, around one clubhouse, so the part you name decides how the tutor gets to your door.

The Palm Drive is easier to understand as a small neighbourhood than as a single society. Developer announcements describe it in parts, and each part means a slightly different visit for a tutor.
These were in the first handover. The 2015 occupancy announcement covered eight towers of Sky Terraces and Palm Terraces. A tutor coming here deals with a tower lobby and lifts. Sky Terraces also has its own NXTutors page.
The low-rise part of the project, handed over in the first phase too. A visit here is closer to a floor or house visit: no long lift wait, but the tutor needs the exact block and unit, since low-rise lanes can look alike.
The second phase, given its occupancy certificate in 2017, covered Premier Terraces, Palm Studios and further Palm Terraces units. Studio-type homes are smaller, so a dining or work table is usually where lessons happen.
Announced with a multi-cuisine restaurant and lounge, two swimming pools, a bowling alley and a mini-cineplex, the clubhouse is the social centre of the project. For tuition it is mostly a scheduling factor: swimming and other activities fill children's evenings too.
Not to be mixed up: Emaar Palm Terraces Select is listed as a separate Emaar project in the same sector, with its own page.
We base these on news reports and public discussion about the extension road, put in our own words.
Which part of the project. In a development with towers, low-rise homes and studios, parents often find that the visit routine matters as much as the tutor. Being exact about the part and block avoids a confused first evening.
Being on the extension road. Garden Terraces is listed well under a kilometre from Golf Course Extension Road, which suits tutors coming down from Golf Course Road and Sectors 55 to 65. The same road has been named in monsoon news: in July 2024 and again in July 2025, reports listed it among stretches slowed by waterlogging. An online fallback for those evenings keeps the routine going.
Activities and tuition sharing the evening. With a full clubhouse inside the project, children here often have swimming or other activities after school. Parents tend to plan tuition around them rather than against them.
Consistency over a year. In a project this size, families value a tutor who can hold the same slot term after term, and who perhaps already teaches another child in the project on the same evening.
Down Golf Course Extension Road. The project fronts this road, a six-lane corridor that runs from the Gurgaon–Faridabad Road end of Golf Course Road south to Badshahpur. Tutors from Sectors 55 to 65 and the Golf Course Road belt come this way.
From Sohna Road. Sohna Road lies on the far side of Sector 66, about a kilometre and a half from Garden Terraces by one portal's measure. Tutors from South City 2, Sectors 47 to 49 and the Sohna Road societies usually take this route, crossing into the sector by its internal roads.
The Southern Peripheral Road. It meets Sohna Road at Badshahpur and links across towards NH-48, so tutors from the expressway sectors may use it.
By metro. The Rapid Metro's last stop is Sector 55–56 on Golf Course Road; from there, the trip continues by cab or auto. A metro along this corridor has been proposed but was still awaiting approval when last reported.
When you request, name the gate you use and your part of the project, and we look first at tutors whose route passes the extension road at your hour.
Each tutor who joins NXTutors goes through an ID check; the badge on the profile comes only once our team has reviewed that ID. Learn more on our ID check page. It is not a police or background check, so the first classes should happen with an adult at home and in a shared room.
Families at The Palm Drive come to us with CBSE, ICSE, IB and Cambridge IGCSE questions alike, since there is no single neighbourhood school. Among schools on our approved Gurugram list closest to Sector 66, alphabetically: DAV Public School in Sector 49 (CBSE), Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Sector 62 (CBSE), and Scottish High International School in Sector 57 (IB, Cambridge IGCSE, CISCE). We have no tie with any of them.
In a tower flat or a studio, space for books is limited, so ask the tutor to keep a folder system for worksheets and past papers. Our board comparison guide explains how the syllabuses differ.
Home visits work well for this age, especially in Garden Terraces homes with room for a fixed study corner. Aim for short sessions on reading, phonics, number work and neat writing.
Middle school brings harder Maths and the first proper Science. A tutor who reviews the week's school work and sets a little practice keeps things steady. Our English home tutors in Gurgaon page helps if writing or grammar is the weak spot.
Class 9 is the foundation for boards, and many families start tuition here rather than waiting. Ask for a plan that finishes the syllabus early and leaves time for papers. See Class 9 home tutors in Gurgaon.
Seniors usually need one specialist per subject. With the extension road on the doorstep, a tutor from the Golf Course Road side can reach the project reasonably directly, but many families still mix home and online classes to save time.
A specialist who understands coursework and internal assessments is the key. Weekend home sessions with online classes midweek are a common pattern.
The clubhouse shapes the evening calendar here. If a child swims or plays after school, set tuition either straight after a snack, before the activity, or after dinner, rather than squeezed in between.
For younger children, two shorter home sessions in the week often work better than one long one. For seniors, a weekend slot leaves weekday evenings for school work and activities. Whatever you choose, keep the same days each week; tutors in demand can then build their week around yours.
If two children in the project need the same subject, ask whether one tutor can teach them one after another on the same evening. It saves a second trip down the extension road.
The free demo tells you whether a tutor explains well. The first month tells you whether the arrangement works. Here is a simple way to run it.
If the answers are not good, switching tutor on NXTutors is free, and the next tutor can start from the written notes of the first month rather than from zero.
Plan extra revision before the winter rush. Use only official dates: the CBSE and CISCE date sheets, and the IB and Cambridge exam calendars. IB examines in May and November; Cambridge runs its series in March, June and November. In the final weeks, an online session saves the tutor's travel and gives the student a little more time at the desk.
A home tutor gives full attention and no travel for the child, which is why it suits younger students and anyone who needs steady support. Online classes widen the choice to specialists anywhere and avoid road delays. A coaching centre suits entrance preparation in a batch, but means a regular trip out of the project.
At The Palm Drive, the extension road makes travel to coaching easier than from deeper inside the sector, but evening traffic and rain still cost time. Count the hours a week spent getting there and back before you choose.
Many families combine them: home tuition for core subjects, an online specialist for one, and coaching only for a clear entrance goal.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
A tutor's fee depends on class, board, subject and level, on how many sessions you book and their length, and on the tutor's experience. A tutor teaching two children back to back in the project, or already visiting another Palm Drive family that evening, may set the fee differently from one making a single trip. Each fee is shown on NXTutors before the free demo.
We found no sourced public library close to The Palm Drive, so we name none. The clubhouse is the project's shared space; ask the management whether a room can be used for study during exam months.
Inside the home, what helps most is a fixed study corner: one table, a good lamp, and books kept in the same place between visits. In a studio or a smaller Palm Terraces flat, even a folding desk used only for study makes the habit stick. If you would like a woman tutor for these home sessions, see female home tutors in Gurgaon.
