Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 66 sits on the southern stretch of Golf Course Extension Road, close to where that road meets Sohna Road at Badshahpur. It is a sector of Emaar, Ireo and BPTP projects rather than one township. It is also where the NXTutors office is, so it is the part of Gurugram we know street by street.

Sector 66 is a patchwork of separate gated developments, each with its own gate, security desk and internal roads. Knowing which one you are in tells a tutor almost everything about the visit.
The single name most people associate with Sector 66 is Emaar The Palm Drive, on Golf Course Extension Road. It is not one block but a family of products. Developer releases name Sky Terraces, Palm Terraces, Premier Terraces, Palm Studios and the low-rise Garden Terraces, handed over in two phases between 2015 and 2017, with a shared clubhouse. Our Emaar Palm Drive page goes into it in detail, and Sky Terraces has a page of its own too.
Portal listings also place Emaar Palm Terraces Select, Emaar Marbella and Emaar The Enclave in the sector. They are separate addresses from The Palm Drive, so a tutor who knows one Emaar gate should still ask for directions to another. Each of the three also has its own NXTutors page, reachable from the sector list on this page.
Ireo Uptown is a five-tower society bordered by a sector road on two sides. BPTP has several names here, including BPTP Park Prime and BPTP Mansions. Smaller residencies listed on portals fill the remaining plots.
For tuition, this matters in one practical way: the walk from gate to front door differs a lot. A Garden Terraces home is low-rise; a Sky Terraces or Ireo flat means a lobby and a lift. Tell us which, and the tutor plans the arrival accordingly.
We read public discussion and news about this stretch to understand what shapes tuition here. These are themes, not anyone's words.
Getting around without a car. A property portal's locality page rates connectivity as Sector 66's weakest point and lists bus stops rather than any metro. For tuition, that tilts things towards tutors who drive or ride a two-wheeler, and towards online sessions for a specialist who would otherwise depend on cabs.
Monsoon evenings. News reports from July 2024 and July 2025 named Golf Course Extension Road among the stretches where rain caused waterlogging and slow traffic, and a June 2026 report on the city's monsoon planning listed the road again. Families here often agree with the tutor, in advance, that a heavy-rain evening becomes an online class at the usual time.
A tutor who stays the course. In a sector of large societies, parents tend to value a tutor who can keep the same slot every week for a whole school year. Ask about that in the demo, and ask which other days the tutor is already on this side of the city.
Lift and lobby time. In the taller towers, a tutor can spend several minutes between the gate and the flat, more around school-return time when lifts are busy. Parents who plan the slot a little after the after-school rush find classes start on time more often.
Specialist subjects. With IB, Cambridge, CISCE and CBSE schools in the zone, families sometimes need a subject specialist rather than a general tutor. A hybrid plan, home on some days and online on others, widens the choice.
Along Golf Course Extension Road. The road is a six-lane, 90-metre corridor that starts at the Gurgaon–Faridabad Road and runs south past Sectors 61 to 67 to Badshahpur. Tutors from Sectors 55 to 65, or from the Golf Course Road belt, generally come down it. Palm Drive families are closest to this side; a portal places Garden Terraces well under a kilometre from the road.
From Sohna Road. On the other side, Sohna Road is close. Tutors from South City 2, Sectors 47 to 49 or Sohna Road societies usually come this way, and the same portal puts Garden Terraces around a kilometre and a half from Sohna Road. Ireo Uptown is listed nearer Sohna Road than the extension road.
Via the Southern Peripheral Road. The SPR meets Sohna Road at Badshahpur and connects across to NH-48, so tutors from the Sector 69 to 72 side or from the expressway belt often use it.
By metro. There is no station in Sector 66. The Rapid Metro's southern end is Sector 55–56 on Golf Course Road, so a tutor using it still needs a cab or auto for the last stretch. A Sector 56 to Pachgaon metro line has been proposed, but as of the last report we found it was still awaiting approval, so do not plan around it.
When you request, mention whether your gate faces the extension road or the Sohna Road side. It helps us shortlist people whose usual route fits.
Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, and the badge on a profile appears only after our team has reviewed the ID. Read how our tutor ID check works. It is not a police or background check, so keep the usual home rules: an adult in the house during early classes, and lessons in a shared space.
No school on our approved Gurugram list is inside Sector 66, but three nearby ones cover the main boards. In alphabetical order: DAV Public School in Sector 49 follows CBSE; Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Sector 62 follows CBSE; Scottish High International School in Sector 57 offers IB PYP and DP, Cambridge IGCSE and CISCE (ICSE and ISC). We have no link with any of them, and families at any school can ask.
What changes for a home tutor here is less the board than the household: a Sector 66 student may be on CBSE while a sibling is on IGCSE. One tutor rarely covers both well, so say so in your request and we can match per child. For syllabus differences, see our CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE comparison, or go straight to IGCSE tutors in Gurgaon.
For young children, a tutor who comes home works far better than a screen. Keep sessions short and regular: phonics and reading, number sense, handwriting, and homework support that follows what the school sends home. If a Palm Drive or Ireo family has two young children, one tutor can often take them back to back. Our primary home tutors in Gurgaon page explains how we match this age group.
This is when Maths and Science stop being something a parent can help with over dinner. A tutor should build a weekly rhythm: one concept, practice, a small test. English writing and grammar also benefit from steady correction at this stage.
Board years. At this stage families usually look for subject tutors, Maths and Science above all. Ask the tutor to map the syllabus against the school's test calendar and to start past-paper practice early. The maths home tuition in Gurgaon page shows how maths requests are matched.
Seniors often need a different tutor per subject, and travel time adds up. A common Sector 66 pattern is one subject at home and the rest online, or home classes on weekends with online practice midweek.
Internal assessments, coursework deadlines and two different exam series need planning across the whole year. A specialist may live across the city; one home session a week plus online sessions often makes that workable.
Children in Sector 66 rarely walk to school. The approved schools nearest the sector sit up the extension road in Sector 62 and Sector 57, or across Sohna Road in Sector 49, and many students travel further. That shapes the tuition day more than anything else.
A sensible starting point is to leave a clear break between the school bus drop and the arrival of the tutor, so the child has eaten and rested. For a junior child, an early-evening slot before dinner usually works. For seniors with longer school days, a later slot or a weekend morning at home, with a shorter online session midweek, keeps the week from feeling crowded.
Tell us the time your child actually gets home, not the official closing time of the school. It is the single most useful detail for matching a tutor whose free hours fit.
From December onwards, evening slots go quickly, so ask your tutor to block revision sessions early. Take dates only from the boards themselves: CBSE and CISCE publish their own date sheets, IB examines in May and November sessions, and Cambridge runs March, June and November series. Because monsoon and winter-fog evenings can slow the extension road, agree an online fallback for every revision class, so a jam never costs a session.
For a Sector 66 family, the choice usually comes down to travel. Home tuition removes the child's journey entirely, which suits younger students and anyone who needs close attention. Online lets you choose a specialist from anywhere and costs nobody a commute. A coaching centre suits entrance preparation with a fixed batch, but it means getting a child across Golf Course Extension Road or Sohna Road at peak hours.
Think about the week as a whole, too. A Class 11 student with school until mid-afternoon, a school bus along the extension road and three subjects to cover does not have many free evenings; an hour saved on travel is an hour of study. A Class 3 child, on the other hand, gains a lot from a familiar adult at the same table each week, which only home tuition gives.
Many families combine them: a home tutor for school subjects, an online tutor for one specialist subject, and coaching only where JEE or NEET is the clear goal.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Within that range, your fee depends on the class and board, the subject, how many sessions a week and how long each lasts. A tutor travelling from across the city at rush hour may price in the journey; one already teaching in your project or the next one may not. Two children taught back to back can also change the arrangement. Every matched tutor's fee is shown before the free demo, so nothing is a surprise.
We could not find a sourced public library or reading room in Sector 66, so we name none. Within the projects, The Palm Drive and Ireo Uptown both list clubhouses; ask your management office whether a quiet room there can be booked for a revision session or a small group.
