Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Tulip Ace is a Tulip Infratech high-rise society in Sector 89, listed by property portals as ready to move. Both Square Yards and NoBroker show seven towers. The portals differ on land area, so we leave that out; they agree that the homes are large, with three and four bedrooms, and Square Yards adds five-bedroom flats and penthouses up to about 7,242 sq ft.
The amenity list on Square Yards includes a clubhouse, gym, swimming pool, tennis court, children's play areas with sand pits, a central park and large green area, a sauna and spa, and a card room. It also mentions intercom, CCTV and fire-fighting systems, and piped gas.
For tuition, the size of the homes is the useful fact. A three- or four-bedroom flat usually has room for a proper study desk in the child's own room or a spare room, which suits longer board-year sessions and lets a younger sibling carry on undisturbed elsewhere.
Tulip Ace shares Sector 89 with Tulip Petals, a second Tulip project of seven towers with three-bedroom flats on Pataudi Road. A tutor already teaching in one Tulip society often has room for a class in the other, so mention both when you ask.
The wider sector around the society is a mix of tower projects, low-rise floors, villas and plots, with more under construction. That mix means the roads around Tulip Ace see construction traffic at some hours, which a tutor will plan around.
One theme that recurs in public reports on this stretch is Pataudi Road. A December 2025 Tribune report listed Sector 89 among the sectors along a stretch with potholes, poor drainage, yearly waterlogging and no streetlights, and reported plans by the state infrastructure corporation to rebuild it with drains first.
A Square Yards locality review written about Sector 89 praised its calm, its parks and the expressway connection, while asking for feeder buses and better sewage disposal. Read together, these point to two practical habits: keep winter classes ending before dark, and have an online fallback for days the approach floods.
Families in larger homes often weigh a single all-subject tutor against two or three specialists. With the space to host more than one tutor in a week, many choose specialists from Class 9 on, while keeping one tutor for primary-age siblings.
Another frequent question is about senior and international boards. When a child studies IB or Cambridge IGCSE at a school elsewhere in the city, the pool of home tutors willing to travel to Sector 89 is narrower, and a combination of home and online sessions is often the realistic answer.
Some families also think about how a tutor fits around after-school activities. Societies with tennis courts, pools and play areas tend to have busy early evenings for children, so it helps to fix tuition either straight after school or after the activity slot, and to keep that order every week.
Parents also ask about continuity across the year. A tutor whose other classes are nearby is likelier to keep your slot through the exam months.
Square Yards places Tulip Ace about 0.1 km from Pataudi Road, so the society is reached directly from that road. Pataudi Road is the national highway NH-352W, which on its newer alignment meets the Dwarka Expressway between Sectors 88A and 88B; the same portal puts the expressway about 1.8 km from the society.
There is no metro near Tulip Ace. The Yellow Line's last station is Millennium City Centre, and Rapid Metro ends at Sector 55-56, so a tutor without a vehicle relies on a cab or auto for the whole of the final leg.
Tutors from the closest pages, Sector 89A and Adani Aangan Phase 2 across Pataudi Road, or from Sector 93 and Sector 90, are usually the easiest fit. Ask us to look for tutors already on a weekly round in this corner.
For the first visit, send the tower number and the gate the guards use for visitors, and a pinned location if your tower is set back from the entrance.
Portal listings describe round-the-clock security, CCTV and an intercom system. In a society like this, the guard usually calls the flat on the intercom before letting a visitor through.
Hold the first session in a study or living area with a parent at home, and agree a regular slot once the demo goes well.
Large homes make home tuition easier, but only if the space is set up with intent. Choose one room, ideally the child's own or a spare bedroom, and keep the books, a whiteboard or a notepad, and a clock there. When the tutor arrives, nothing has to be fetched.
If two tutors visit on different days, give each a shelf or folder for their subject so notes do not get mixed. A younger sibling can use the same desk at another hour, which keeps the habit of studying in one place.
For online sessions, the same room works with a laptop at eye level, headphones and a plain wall behind. Test the Wi-Fi signal in that room before the first class; thick walls in high-rise flats sometimes weaken it.
Last, keep the door open during lessons for younger children. It reassures everyone and lets a parent hear how the class is going without sitting in.
Tulip Ace families ask about several boards. Delhi Public School, Gurugram Sector 84, the approved-list school nearest Sector 89, follows CBSE. Families at Tulip Ace also ask about ICSE, Cambridge IGCSE and IB because some children attend schools in other parts of Gurugram.
For IB and IGCSE, say which subject group or syllabus the child takes; see our IB tutors in Gurgaon and IGCSE tutors in Gurgaon. A large flat helps here: a desk where coursework and past papers can stay between sessions. For a fuller explanation of the boards, read our board guide.
Ask for a tutor who builds reading and number habits and works through school homework calmly. A fixed time each day, in a quiet room, helps a young child settle faster than a long weekend class.
At the demo, watch whether the tutor gets your child talking. A young learner who explains a sum aloud is learning; one who only copies is not, and a good tutor notices the difference within minutes.
Middle-school maths and science become more abstract. A tutor who explains concepts with examples and checks understanding with short quizzes is worth more than one who only finishes homework.
These are also the years to build a revision habit. Ask the tutor to end each week with ten minutes of recap on what was covered, so the child is not relearning chapters at exam time.
Board-year families usually split maths and science between two tutors. Ask each tutor how they will use past papers and timed tests, and share the school's test dates.
For senior science, a physics home tutor and a chemistry or maths specialist are the usual combination. Specialists are fewer this far out, so one of the subjects may be taught online.
A JEE home tutor here usually supports a coaching course with doubts and practice papers. JEE Main and NEET notices come from the National Testing Agency.
From December to March, tutors' timetables fill fast because pre-boards and finals stack up. Book regular slots in autumn and plan extra revision sessions before the board timetable arrives.
IB Diploma exams run in May and November sessions, and Cambridge exams have March, June and November series in India, so IB and IGCSE families should plan around those months instead.
Home tuition is the natural fit at Tulip Ace for most children: the homes are large enough for a quiet study room, and no one travels on Pataudi Road in the evening.
Online tuition suits rare subjects, IB and IGCSE specialists, and rainy days. With a spare room, an online session is easy to set up; test the connection before the demo.
Whatever you choose, review it after a term. A child who started online may do better with a tutor in the room for a tough subject, and the reverse is just as common.
A coaching centre suits group learners with a way to get there. Many Tulip Ace families pair a home tutor for school subjects with an online or centre course for an entrance exam.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Within that range, the class and the subject set most of the fee. Senior science, IB and IGCSE subjects, and entrance-exam preparation sit higher; primary support sits lower.
Travel and timing play a part too. A tutor making a single long trip to Sector 89 may quote more than one already teaching nearby, and peak evening slots in exam months are in higher demand. You see each fee on the tutor's card before the free demo.
We found no sourced public library near Sector 89. Inside the society, portal listings mention a clubhouse and a card room; ask your management whether residents may use a quiet space there for revision.
