Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Kocoon is a high-rise society in Sector 109, inside the Dwarka Expressway zone of Gurugram, close to the Delhi border. Tall towers and a three-tier security set-up mean the tutor’s first visit is mostly about entry and lifts; the lesson itself is the easy part.

ATS Group announced its Sector 109 project in August 2011, describing about 12.2 acres developed jointly with the landowner, Chintels Group, along what was then the proposed Northern Periphery Road from the airport via Dwarka. Today’s listings put ATS Kocoon at about 11 acres, with six towers of ground plus 24 floors, and 3 and 4 BHK apartments.
For tuition, height is the defining feature. A family on a high floor should allow for the lift wait when telling a tutor what time to arrive, and the tutor should allow for it too. Lessons that begin as school buses return, or as people head out for the evening, are the ones where lifts are busiest.
Listings name a clubhouse, swimming pool, gym, meditation centre, multipurpose hall, kids’ play area and a small shopping centre inside the society. That on-site shop is handy on lesson days: a forgotten notebook or a printer cartridge is a short walk, not a drive.
Kocoon shares Sector 109 with several other projects that have their own NXTutors pages, including Raheja Shilas, ATS Tourmaline and Conscient One Residences. Haryana RERA records place ATS Tourmaline in Babupur village within the sector, which gives a sense of how new towers and older village land sit side by side here.
Put together, Kocoon is a society where the home itself suits tuition well. Three and four bedroom flats leave room for a desk that stays set up between lessons, and the society’s own facilities cover most of what a child needs after school. The parts that need planning are the entry, the lifts, the road in and the season. The sections below go through each.
Property-portal summaries of Sector 109 list both what people like and what still needs work. Each point has a tuition angle.
Kocoon sits on the Dwarka Expressway, which runs elevated through Sector 109 on its way from the Delhi border to the Basai rail overbridge. Local traffic, including any tutor heading for your gate, uses the service roads beneath the deck. The whole expressway has been open since June 2025.
Two directions matter. From the Delhi side, Dwarka is listed at about three kilometres, so a tutor living there can ride or drive across. From the Gurugram side, a tutor comes up the expressway from NH-48 or Basai and turns off at the service road for Sector 109.
For tutors who use the metro, the working stations are on the Delhi side, in Dwarka; Dwarka Sector 21 is the interchange for the Blue Line and the Airport Express. On the Gurugram side, the Millennium City Centre–Sector 9 metro line, under construction since November 2025, includes stops at Basai and Sector 101, which are south of here. A further proposal from Kherki Daula to Sector 111 is awaiting a ridership assessment. For now, the last stretch to Kocoon is by road.
Timing the trip also matters. A tutor driving from central Gurugram meets the office traffic heading the other way in the evening, while a tutor from Dwarka crosses the border against a lighter flow at some hours. Neither is predictable enough to promise, so ask on the demo day and fix the slot after two or three weeks of real trips.
Our matching ranks tutors who list Sector 109 among their travel areas first, then those across the zone, then online tutors. The card shows each tutor’s base, which tells you whether they are coming from Dwarka, from a nearby sector or from further away.
Listings describe three-tier security at ATS Kocoon. In practice, that often means more than one check between the road and your door, so a tutor who is not pre-registered can lose the start of the lesson. Before the free demo, add the tutor in the society’s visitor app or with the main gate, and send the tower, floor and flat number.
Tell the tutor which lift lobby to use if your tower has more than one, and mention the floor, since a 24-floor tower can mean a long ride at busy times. After the first few lessons, ask the facility team whether regular visitors can be given a standing entry.
On safety: anyone joining NXTutors as a tutor goes through an ID check, and a profile shows the badge only once our team has reviewed that ID; see how we check tutors. This is not a police or background check. For younger children, keep an adult at home, hold the lesson in a shared room and check in with your child afterwards.
If the tutor rides a two-wheeler or drives, ask where visitor vehicles go and pass that on before the first visit. In a society with several checks, a tutor who knows where to park and which tower to walk to arrives calm, and the lesson starts on time.
Kocoon parents ask us for tutors in CBSE, ICSE and ISC, and for IB and Cambridge IGCSE. No school on our approved Gurugram list is inside the Dwarka Expressway zone, and with Delhi so close, children here may study on either side of the border; the board and class decide the match.
For a home tutor, the board changes the material more than the method: NCERT books and sample papers for CBSE, longer written answers for CISCE, subject guides and past papers for IB and IGCSE. If the school is in Delhi and the tutor is from Gurugram, share the school’s term calendar so the tutor plans around it. The full comparison is in our CBSE vs ICSE vs IB vs IGCSE guide; for science help see science home tutors in Gurgaon.
Little children need short sessions and a familiar face. A tutor who comes on the same days each week, at a time when the lifts are quiet, gets more of the hour for learning. Keep a small box of pencils and a reading book in the study corner.
This is when Maths and Science start to build on each other. Ask the tutor to review the school’s worksheets and the last class test every week, and to flag gaps early rather than racing ahead. Children in this band often have project work and olympiad practice from school as well, so agree what the tutor covers and what stays with the school, and keep a simple weekly note of both.
For board years, consistency beats intensity. Two or three fixed weekly lessons with regular written practice work better than long sessions just before exams. A Class 9 home tutor who starts the board habits early makes Class 10 calmer.
Senior students usually want a subject specialist. With Dwarka close, the pool of senior tutors who can reach Kocoon is wider than in many expressway societies. For entrance-focused study, see JEE home tutors in Gurgaon.
International and medical-entrance courses need tutors who know the syllabus closely. A blend of one home tutor and one online specialist is a common, workable plan.
For CBSE Class 10 there are now two board exam chances in a year, the second for improvement. CISCE, the IB and Cambridge each publish their own timetables, and NTA runs JEE Main and NEET (UG). Use only those official sites for dates.
At Kocoon the practical change in exam months is timing. Winter fog makes late evening travel slower, so pull lessons earlier, and in the last weeks before a paper ask for timed practice at the hour of the real exam.
A coaching centre from Sector 109 usually means a car trip each way, because public transport is limited. A home tutor saves that time and keeps your child in a familiar room. For a younger child, it also means a parent can hear how the lesson is going from the next room, which is reassuring in the first few weeks.
Online lessons are the obvious answer on rain-hit evenings, for specialist subjects, and when the right tutor lives too far to travel; see online tutors for Gurgaon families. A centre gives peer practice and a set timetable for students who want it. A mixed plan, home for the core and online for one subject, suits many Kocoon families.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Tutors set their own fees and you see them before the demo. Class, board, subject, sessions per week, lesson length and the tutor’s experience all move the number. At Kocoon, where the tutor travels from also counts: someone from a neighbouring sector or from Dwarka may spend less time on the road than someone coming from the far side of Gurugram. Booking two subjects or two siblings in one visit can make a regular slot easier to agree. If a fee looks high or low for the class, ask the tutor what it includes, such as test papers, marking or short check-in calls between lessons.
We found no public library or reading room in Sector 109 in an official or map source, so none is named here. Inside the society, the listed meditation centre and multipurpose hall may be quiet at some hours; ask the facility office whether students can use them. On a high floor, a room facing away from the expressway is often the quietest.

Four other projects in Sector 109 have pages of their own: ATS Tourmaline, Conscient One Residences, Indiabulls One 09 Residences and Raheja Shilas, all sharing the sector with ATS Kocoon. The Sector 109 page is useful too, since it gathers teachers who cover the whole sector. Neighbouring pages for the project include ATS Triumph, Sector 104, Adani Oyster Grande and Ansal Highland Park.
Tell security the tutor's name a single time and give out the tower and flat details ahead of time, so nobody waits at the entrance on the first evening. Then tell us what your child is studying: board, class, subject and chapters covered. Mention upcoming tests and your preferred hour. Families new to home tuition can ask us anything before booking.
For ATS Kocoon the recorded postcode is 122006, which also covers thirty-one other pages, including Sector 104 and Paras Dews; Experion Heartsong, BPTP Terra, Sector 107 and Ansal Highland Park use it as well. Teachers from that list could be among your first suggestions, so check the route before choosing. Our school list has no Dwarka Expressway entries, so your child's board decides the match. You can read each fee on the profile before committing to a demo.
