Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

The Aralias belongs to our Golf Course Road zone of Gurugram. It is a concierge-run building of three long residential blocks facing the golf course, which changes how a tutor arrives and which room suits the lesson.

The Aralias was finished well before its two Golf Links neighbours; its architects list completion in 2007. Their project page describes three linear residential blocks that flank a landscaped garden, together forming a central recreation area for the whole complex, with every apartment looking over the grounds and the golf course.
That garden is designed as a resort-style space, with tropical planting, pools, a waterfall, sand pits, splash pools and gazebos. Listings add a clubhouse with a swimming pool and tennis court, a multipurpose room, a salon and a round-the-clock concierge. A property agency notes that the clubhouse has been upgraded in recent years.
Homes are big: portals list 4 and 5 BHK apartments, with penthouses and duplexes. The architects note that interiors were handed over unfinished so owners could design their own, so no two flats are quite alike inside. In practice, families can almost always find a room for lessons away from the main living space; set it up once, with a desk and good light, and use it all year.
The building sits opposite the DLF Golf and Country Club in Sector 42, which opened in 1999 and has two courses. DLF's enclave site also lists Golf Drive, a shaded road past the courses, and The Sanctuary, a landscaped park with a walking track, inside DLF5 Golf Links.
Public material on The Aralias and the wider Sector 42 locality returns to a handful of points. Here is what each means when you book a tutor.
Sector 42-43 is the Rapid Metro stop on Golf Course Road nearest this end of Sector 42. The line opened along Golf Course Road in 2017 and runs north through DLF Phase 1 station to Sikanderpur, where a walkway links it to the Delhi Metro Yellow Line. A tutor from Delhi, Sushant Lok or the MG Road belt can therefore come by train and finish the trip on foot or by auto. Southward, the line continues to Sector 53-54, which DLF places about 0.7 km from the Golf Links enclave.
Most tutors still come by road. Golf Course Road is the main approach; those already teaching in the DLF phases, Sector 43 or the other Golf Links buildings have the shortest journeys. A tutor from Sohna Road or the extension road crosses the Sector 53 to 56 junction, so a mid-afternoon or late-evening slot helps.
For a rare subject, such as a single IB Higher Level paper or IGCSE Additional Mathematics, the right person may not live near Golf Course Road at all. Online lessons, perhaps with an occasional home visit, often beat a long weekly drive.
At a building with a 24x7 concierge, the simplest route is to call the desk before the demo. Share the tutor's name, phone number, the day and time, and your block and flat. Ask whether you can register the tutor as a regular visitor once lessons begin, so the desk does not need to ring you every time.
Tell the tutor which of the three blocks is yours and which entrance to use; three long buildings look alike from the drive. If they come by car or two-wheeler, ask the desk where visitors may park and pass that on.
Keep lessons in the flat unless the club confirms a room may be used for private tuition. With younger children, an adult should be at home through the session.
Want a woman tutor? Say so in your request and we will try to shortlist a woman home tutor in Gurgaon for your class and subject. Every tutor who joins NXTutors goes through an ID check, confirming a phone or email with a one-time code and uploading a government photo ID for our team to review. It is not a police or background check; read how we check tutors, and use the free demo to judge the fit yourself.
Families around Golf Course Road ask for help with international and Indian boards in roughly equal measure. On our approved list of nearby schools, the boards run from CBSE to IB: Lancers International School (Sector 53, IB and Cambridge IGCSE), Shiv Nadar School (DLF Phase 1, CBSE, IB and Cambridge IGCSE), Suncity School (Sector 54, CBSE) and The Shri Ram School on Moulsari Avenue (ICSE/ISC, Cambridge IGCSE and IB). We list them only to show the board mix; we have no link with any of them.
What changes for the tutor is the material: Cambridge syllabuses and past papers, IB subject guides, CISCE prescribed texts, or NCERT books. Bring the school's list to the demo. For an ICSE or ISC child, see our ICSE home tutor in Gurgaon page, and for the side-by-side comparison read the board guide.
The garden with its sand pits and splash pools is a strong pull for young children. Short lessons, under an hour, placed before outdoor time rather than after it, keep attention. Reading, number work and handwriting are the usual focus.
From Class 6, maths and science become the main requests. Ask the tutor to check school notebooks weekly, not only the textbook, so gaps show early. An English home tutor in Gurgaon is a common second subject for ICSE children, where literature texts arrive early.
This is when the board shapes every lesson. IGCSE students need to know whether they sit Core or Extended papers; ICSE students carry more subjects at once; CBSE students follow NCERT and the board's sample papers. Lessons of around 90 minutes, two or three times a week, are typical.
Expect one tutor per subject. IB Diploma students should mention Higher or Standard Level and any internal assessment or extended essay deadlines. For physics at this stage, see our physics home tutors in Gurgaon. Where JEE or NEET is also planned, hours go up and online sessions can take some of the load off travel.
ISC and CBSE Class 12 students have school practical work and projects alongside theory. Tell the tutor which parts the school marks internally, so lesson time goes to the written papers where help counts most, while the school lab covers the practicals.
Children in one building may sit very different exams. IB Diploma papers come in May and November sessions; Cambridge runs March, June and November series in India; ICSE and ISC timetables appear on cisce.org; CBSE timetables on cbse.gov.in. Use only the board's own dates, and decide with the tutor in good time when lessons turn to timed past papers.
For most Aralias families, home tuition is the default because the child stays in a familiar, quiet room and the parent can look in. The main planning point is the tutor's entry through the desk and the drive along Golf Course Road.
Online lessons fill the gaps: a specialist who lives far away, exam months when every hour counts, and rain-hit evenings. A coaching centre suits a child who likes working in a group, but the travel then falls on the child. Many families combine one regular home tutor with an online specialist.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. The tutor decides the fee, and it is in front of you before the demo.
The things that shift a fee are the level, the board, the subject, lesson length and how many sessions a week you book. A tutor coming a long way, or through the office rush, may ask for longer sessions on fewer days. Before regular lessons, settle how missed lessons, holidays and extra sessions in exam months are counted.
The free demo is a trial, not a commitment. Use it to see whether the tutor explains clearly, asks your child questions rather than lecturing, and looks at the school notebook. Afterwards, ask your child how it felt; their answer often says more than the lesson itself.
If you go ahead, agree the days, lesson length and fee in writing, even as a short message. After three or four lessons, ask the tutor for a brief note on what they have found: which topics are secure, which need work, and what they plan for the next few weeks. A good tutor is glad to share this.
If the fit is wrong at any point, tell NXTutors. We suggest another matched tutor, and switching costs nothing. Many Aralias families keep the same tutor for years, but nobody should feel stuck with one who is not working for their child.
One practical habit helps in a concierge building: keep the tutor's phone number with the desk and tell the desk about any change of lesson time as soon as you know, so the tutor is not held at the entrance waiting for an approval you have forgotten to send.
We did not find a public library near The Aralias. Listings mention a multipurpose room in the complex; whether students may use it for study is a question for the society office. Inside the Golf Links enclave, DLF lists The Sanctuary park and its walking track, better suited to a break than to written work.
Each link opens the Gurugram page for that board, subject or class. Tell us you are in DLF Aralias and we look for tutors who can reach you, or teach online.

Home visits in a residential project are smoother when the tutor's name is left with security beforehand. For students in senior classes following IB or Cambridge IGCSE, you could pair weekend home lessons with one online class midweek. Tell us the board, the class and the chapters covered. Each tutor's fee is shown before the demo.
