Book a free demo classYes, a tutor can come to your home anywhere in the Golf Course Road zone, from the DLF Phase 1 lanes near Sikanderpur to the AIT Chowk end at Sectors 53 to 56. Tell NXTutors the class, board, subject and your phase, sector or society. We send two or three matched tutors who travel here or teach online, each with the fee shown before you book. The first class is a free demo, and moving to another tutor later costs nothing.
This page is the guide to the whole zone. It explains how the road and its metro shape a tutor's trip, which part of the zone you are in, and how to plan sessions around school, office hours and the monsoon. For the city as a whole, see home tutors in Gurugram.
| What | Golf Course Road zone |
|---|---|
| Spine | Golf Course Road, built with HUDA as a signal-free corridor from the Cyber City end to the Sector 55/56 rotary |
| Housing | Plotted DLF phases and Sushant Lok floors in the north and west; gated tower societies along the road in Sectors 42, 43, 53 and 54; townships such as Sun City and Ardee City |
| Metro | Rapid Metro along the road (DLF Phase 1, Sector 42-43, Sector 53-54, Sector 54 Chowk, Sector 55–56) and round the Cyber City loop; Yellow Line at Sikanderpur, Guru Dronacharya and MG Road |
| Other roads | Mehrauli–Gurgaon Road, Gurgaon–Faridabad Road, Sunset Boulevard, Arjun Marg, Sun City Boulevard |
| Schools on our list in the zone | Lancers International School, Shiv Nadar School, Suncity School, The Shri Ram School (Moulsari) |
| Pages in this zone | 43 phase, sector and society pages, all linked below |
| Session windows that tend to hold | Straight after the school drop, before office traffic peaks; or after it has eased; weekend mornings for long sessions |
Golf Course Road runs roughly north to south. At its northern end it meets the Cyber City office district near Sikanderpur; at its southern end it reaches the rotary at Sectors 55 and 56, where Golf Course Extension Road continues. DLF's own description of the corridor gives 8.3 km from DLF Gateway Tower to that rotary, with six underpasses on the way. Along it, families live in three quite different settings, and each changes how a tutor reaches the door.
DLF Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and Phase 4, together with Sushant Lok Phase 1, are mostly plotted land with houses and builder floors on named lanes. Here a tutor parks, finds the house number and rings the bell. There may be no guard, but the house number system can confuse a newcomer, and the lanes fill with parked cars in the evening.
Sectors 42, 43, 53 and 54 hold most of the zone's gated high-rise societies: The Magnolias, The Aralias and The Camellias around the golf course, the DLF estates and Vipul projects in Sector 53, and the Crest, Park Place, Belaire and Palm Springs towers in Sector 54. In these a tutor needs gate approval, a tower and flat number, and sometimes a lift card. Once inside, parking is usually simpler than in the phases.
Sun City in Sector 54 and Ardee City in Sector 52 are townships with their own internal roads. A tutor coming in for the first time needs the gate name as well as the house or block, because the main gate may not be the closest one to your home.
Most families in the zone fit one of these three patterns, and the right advice for the first visit follows from which one is yours.
We read public news reports and property-portal pages about this corridor. The same few themes come up again and again. We treat each as a planning point, not a verdict on any society or authority.
Public resident reviews for most of these sectors are thin, so we have not added themes we could not trace to a source.
The zone is unusually well served by rail for Gurugram. The Rapid Metro has two parts. Its first phase is a loop from Sikanderpur round Cyber City, with stops at DLF Phase 2, Belvedere Towers, Cyber City, Moulsari Avenue and DLF Phase 3. Its second phase, opened in 2017, runs south from Sikanderpur down Golf Course Road, with stops at DLF Phase 1, Sector 42-43, Sector 53-54, Sector 54 Chowk and Sector 55–56.
Sikanderpur is the hinge of the system. It is also a Yellow Line station, with Guru Dronacharya on one side and MG Road on the other, and a walkway connects the two networks. A tutor who lives along the Yellow Line, in Delhi or in the older parts of Gurugram, can change at Sikanderpur and ride down the road to the stop nearest you.
By road, the corridor itself carries most trips. DLF built it with HUDA as a public-private project, with underpasses at the main crossings and landscaped foot over bridges near the Cyber City end. Other roads matter at the edges: Mehrauli–Gurgaon Road along the north, Gurgaon–Faridabad Road on the east, Sunset Boulevard past Central Park 1 and the Sector 42 societies, and Sun City Boulevard towards the Sector 54 township.
A property-portal guide gives Rapid Metro hours as roughly 6 am to 10 pm. A late evening session therefore suits a tutor with a two-wheeler or car better than one relying on the metro home.
Because the corridor is signal-free, a tutor who drives along it moves quickly between underpasses but often has to go past a turn and come back through a U-turn underpass. Ask the tutor which side of the road they come from: a society on the far side may add a loop to the trip even when the map distance is short.
The zone falls into two halves for planning. The northern half covers DLF Phases 1 to 4, Sushant Lok Phase 1 and Sectors 27 and 28. Its tutors often come from the Yellow Line, from MG Road and from the Cyber City side. The southern half covers Sectors 42, 43, 52, 53 and 54. Tutors here may come down the corridor, or up from Golf Course Extension Road and Sohna Road.
If you live in the south, ask whether the tutor will cross AIT Chowk at your slot. If you are near the north, ask whether they will cross the Cyber City approach. A tutor who teaches another child in the same half that evening tends to keep time. Our shortlist puts tutors who list your exact area first, then the zone, then the rest of Gurugram.
In a tower society: register the tutor at the gate before the demo, give the tower and flat number, and say which gate to use if the society has more than one. A standing visitor entry for a regular tutor saves time every week.
In a plotted phase: share the full house number with the block letter, a map pin, and where a car or two-wheeler can wait. Evening parking in the lanes can be tight.
In a township: name the gate nearest your block, because the main gate can be a long walk from some homes.
On safety, tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check: a one-time code on phone or email and a government photo ID that our team reviews. You can read how we check tutors. It is not a police or background check, so meet the tutor at the free demo, keep sessions in a shared room, and keep an adult at home for younger children. For a daughter, you can ask for a woman home tutor in Gurgaon.
The board mix here is wide. Four schools on our approved Gurugram list are in the zone, named here alphabetically with the boards shown on their own sites: Lancers International School in Sector 53, DLF Phase 5 (IB and Cambridge IGCSE); Shiv Nadar School in DLF Phase 1, E-Block (CBSE, IB and Cambridge IGCSE); Suncity School in Sector 54 (CBSE); and The Shri Ram School's Moulsari campus in DLF Phase 3 (ICSE/ISC, Cambridge IGCSE and IB). NXTutors has no tie-up with any school; your child may of course study anywhere.
For a home tutor the board changes the preparation more than the trip. An IB or IGCSE request usually names a paper or level, while a CBSE or ICSE request usually names a class and subject. Tell us the exact syllabus. Our comparison of CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE explains the differences, and the IB tutors in Gurgaon and IGCSE tutor pages go further.
Classes 1 to 5. Short, frequent sessions work well, often straight after the school drop. A tutor who lives close or teaches nearby suits this band, since a long trip for a 45-minute class rarely lasts. See primary tutors.
Classes 6 to 8. This is where reading, maths habits and science basics settle. One tutor for maths and science together is common, twice a week, with homework checked at the start of each class.
Classes 9 and 10. Board-year planning begins. CBSE and ICSE families tend to want a tutor who knows their board's marking, and IGCSE families want one who has taught the syllabus codes their school uses. Our maths home tutor and Class 10 tutors pages explain what a good plan covers.
Classes 11 and 12, IB DP. Subject depth now matters more than distance. Many families combine one home session a week with an online session from a specialist. For entrance preparation, see JEE tutors and NEET tutors.
Whatever the band, give us the class, board and subject and say whether you want one subject or several. Two or three tutors who fit will be on the shortlist, each with a fee.
The zone runs on several exam calendars at once. IB Diploma assessment happens in May and November sessions. Cambridge offers schools in India a March series as well as June and November. CBSE now runs two Class 10 board examinations, the second for improvement. A tutor who teaches families across the zone may be busiest at different times for different boards.
Plan two things early: extra sessions in the weeks before your child's exams, and whether any of those can be at the weekend when roads are quieter. Book these well ahead, because a tutor's spare slots fill quickly near exams.
Home suits younger children, anyone who needs written work checked closely, and families who want to meet the tutor in person. In this zone it runs smoothly when the tutor's route avoids the busiest junctions at your slot.
Online suits a narrow IB or IGCSE component where no nearby tutor fits, rainy evenings, and weeks when a parent is travelling. See online tutors for Gurgaon.
A coaching centre suits a child who works well in a group and needs a fixed timetable. It brings its own travel and set pace. Many families use a home tutor alongside it, to go over what was covered and catch gaps.
A mix is often what works: a home session on one weekday or at the weekend, plus an online session in between with the same tutor.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Tutors price their own time, and the figure is on your shortlist ahead of the demo. What moves it: the class and board (senior years and international boards cost more), whether the tutor teaches one narrow paper or a full subject, the tutor's experience with that syllabus, how far they travel and at what hour, and how many sessions a week you book. Online sessions can cost less than home ones because there is no travel. Switching tutor later is free.
The Aravali Biodiversity Park lies near Guru Dronacharya metro station, at the northern edge of the zone. It is run with the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon, has trails and opens in morning and evening slots that change with the season. It is a place for a walk before revision rather than a study room. Small DLF parks inside the phases, such as the M Block and Gulmohar Marg parks mapped in Phase 2, serve the same purpose. We found no public library inside the zone to recommend.
Every page below lists the tutors nearest to that place first. Pick the most exact one: your society if it has a page, otherwise your sector or phase.
AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Golf Course Road you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
The first is the DLF phases, from Phase 1 through Phase 5, with Sushant Lok 1 and Wazirabad close by, where most families live in independent floors on quiet residential lanes. The second is the run of gated high-rise towers on and just off the road itself, across Sectors 42, 43, 53 and 54, with Sectors 27, 28 and 52 also in the zone. Each setting asks something different of a parent: a floor needs a parking plan and a clear house number, while a tower needs a visitor entry set up before the tutor arrives.
Requests from this zone are unusually specific. A parent is as likely to ask for IB Maths Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level, or for IGCSE Chemistry structured questions, as for general Class 8 Maths, and CBSE and ICSE families add board-year Maths and Science to the mix. That makes subject fit the first filter and distance the second. Office traffic along the road and around the Rapid Metro is the real constraint on timing, so a class soon after the school bus drops your child home, or one that starts once the evening office rush has eased, is far easier to keep week after week than a slot right in the middle of it.
On NXTutors the tutor list for this zone starts with people who live in the DLF phases or on Golf Course Road, then tutors who have said they travel here, then the rest of Gurugram, and finally online specialists for a narrow IB or IGCSE paper. Send us the board, level and paper, your phase or tower, and the days that suit you. We shortlist two or three matched tutors, and each tutor's fee is on the shortlist before you book anything. The first class is a free demo at your home or online, and if the fit changes later in the year, moving to another tutor costs nothing.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.
| Classes a week | Classes a month | At ₹800 an hour | At ₹2,500 an hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 8 | ₹6,400 a month | ₹20,000 a month |
| 3 | 12 | ₹9,600 a month | ₹30,000 a month |
In a coaching batch, one teacher's hour is shared by many students, so each family pays for a part of it. At home the whole hour is your child's: the pace, the questions and the homework check follow one student, and the tutor's travel to your home is part of the working day. A small group of two or three children from the same society usually costs less per child, with less individual attention.
Open your sector or society for the tutors nearest to it.
Send NXTutors the class, board, subject and your phase, sector or society on Golf Course Road, and we shortlist two or three matched tutors. Each tutor's fee is shown before you book. Your first class is a free demo, at home or on a screen, and a later change of tutor costs nothing.
Tutors on Golf Course Road set their own fees, and you see each fee on the shortlist before the free demo. The Golf Course Road zone covers DLF Phases 1 to 5, Sushant Lok Phase 1, Sectors 27, 28, 42, 43, 52, 53 and 54, and the societies inside them. Each of the 43 areas has its own page, linked from this guide, with the nearest tutors listed first.
Tutors reach Golf Course Road homes through the Rapid Metro stops at DLF Phase 1, Sector 42-43, Sector 53-54, Sector 54 Chowk and Sector 55–56. Tutors on the Yellow Line can change at Sikanderpur, where a walkway links the two networks. Ask the tutor which stop they will use.
Yes, you can ask for a woman tutor for any home in the Golf Course Road zone when you send the request. We include women tutors who travel to your area, or who teach online. Tutors who join go through an ID check; it is not a police check, so meet her at the demo.
For most Golf Course Road families, home tuition suits younger children and close checking of written work, while online suits one narrow IB or IGCSE paper. Coaching suits a child who likes a group pace. Many families pair a weekly home session with online classes from the same tutor.
Tutors who travel to Golf Course Road teach CBSE, ICSE and ISC, IB and Cambridge IGCSE, matching the schools in the zone. Four schools on our approved list are here, following those boards. Tell us the exact syllabus and level, and we match tutors who have taught it.
Along Golf Course Road, the plotted DLF phases are easier at the door and harder for parking, while tower societies are the reverse. In a tower, register the tutor at the gate before the demo. In a phase, share the house number, block and where to park.
The slot that holds most often near Golf Course Road is one that avoids office hours, either straight after school or after evening traffic eases. Weekend mornings suit longer sessions. Junctions such as AIT Chowk back up at rush hour, so plan around them if your tutor crosses one.
Yes, families on Golf Course Road can ask for help with a single IB paper or level rather than a whole subject. Name the subject, level and paper when you ask. If no nearby tutor fits, we suggest an online specialist or a weekend home session with online classes between.
On heavy-rain days Golf Course Road and its underpasses can jam, so agree with the tutor beforehand that the class moves online at the same time. News reports from recent monsoons name this road among those affected. Keep a laptop and notebook camera ready for that switch.
Yes, some tutors from Golf Course Extension Road and Sohna Road travel into the southern half of the Golf Course Road zone. Sectors 52 to 54 are the usual reach for them. For the DLF phases in the north, tutors from the Yellow Line and MG Road side are more common.
For a maths tutor on Golf Course Road, tell us the class, board and the chapters your child is on, plus your society or phase. Say whether you want help through the year or only before exams. We match tutors who teach that syllabus and can reach you at your slot.
It covers DLF Phases 1 to 5, Sushant Lok 1 and Wazirabad, and Sectors 27, 28, 42, 43, 52, 53 and 54 along and near Golf Course Road. Each area in the zone has its own page on NXTutors listing the tutors nearest to it, and the list further down this page links to every one of them.
Each has one hurdle. In a DLF floor the tutor walks straight to your door but may struggle to park in a narrow lane, so a two-wheeler often suits. In a tower, parking is simple once inside, but the tutor must be approved at the gate first, ideally as a regular visitor.
Yes. Families in this zone often want help with a single component, such as IB Maths AA at Higher Level or planning an IB Physics internal assessment. Name the board, level and paper when you ask. If nobody close by teaches it, we suggest an online specialist or a hybrid plan with a weekend home class.
The first class is a free demo, so you judge the teaching on your child's current topic before paying anything. You see each shortlisted tutor's hourly fee before that demo, because tutors set their own fees. If the tutor stops suiting your child later, we suggest another, and the switch is free.
Parents often tell us their child's school so the tutor can follow the same board and books. These Gurugram schools follow CBSE, ICSE and ISC, IB or Cambridge IGCSE, as shown on each school's own site or its board's directory, with the sector each is in. NXTutors has no tie-up with any school; tutors are matched by board and syllabus, and the list is alphabetical, not a ranking.
