Hamilton Court is a single tall DLF group-housing block in DLF Phase 4, in Sector 27 of Gurugram, a short walk from Galleria Market. This guide covers what that address means for a tutor's visit: the wings and basements, the one-way Hamilton Court Road, the nearest Rapid Metro stops and the boards children here tend to study.

Hamilton Court is an apartment block, not a cluster of towers. The architect's description is of a 24-storey scheme for DLF, spread over six wings. Four wings sit side by side in a row and the other two turn at right angles, so the whole building wraps around a landscaped centre that holds a sunken courtyard and a water body. The architect describes 3-bedroom flats that each have a servant's room attached.
Portals describe it as ready to move, and Housing.com lists 3 BHK flats in the region of 2,540 to 2,659 square feet, with 4 BHK mentioned by other listings. In practice that means generous flats in which a child can have a desk away from the living room, which helps a lot when a tutor visits.
The building sits in DLF Phase 4, one of the older DLF City phases. OpenStreetMap maps the Hamilton Court locality in Sector 27, next to Regency Park II, with Ridgewood Apartments, Windsor Court and the lanes of plotted DLF Phase 4 houses around it. Sushant Lok I lies close by. Phase 4 as a whole mixes gated societies, independent houses and standalone buildings, according to NoBroker's locality page, and Hamilton Court is one of the high-rise pieces in that mix.
Two things follow for tuition. First, because everything is in one connected block, a tutor needs only the wing and flat number after the first visit, rather than a long walk across a campus. Second, the central courtyard and basements mean most visitors arrive through one approach, so getting the tutor's name to the gate before the demo saves the most time.
Public reviews of DLF Phase 4 and news reports about this side of Gurugram point to a few recurring themes. None of them is a reason to avoid home tuition; each just changes how you plan the slot.
Parents here also tend to want one tutor who can cover a whole subject across school tests and board years, rather than chapter-by-chapter help. Say so in your request, and we look for that range.
Most tutors arrive by road, and the road that matters is Hamilton Court Road. OpenStreetMap shows it as a two-lane secondary road with one-way sections, so the way in can differ from the way out. Send the tutor a map pin of the gate rather than just the society name, and mention which side of the road to approach from.
NoBroker lists Hamilton Ct Road, Ashoka Marg and the 30-metre Sector 30 road as the main roads of DLF Phase 4. From Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road and IFFCO Chowk, a tutor typically comes in past the Galleria side; from Golf Course Road, they cross over through the Phase 4 lanes. We do not quote travel minutes, because the market and office traffic change them so much through the day.
By metro. The nearest stop on OpenStreetMap is DLF Phase 1 on the Rapid Metro, roughly a kilometre from Hamilton Court in a straight line; NoBroker gives about 2.2 km by road from Phase 4 to that station and about 1.9 km to IFFCO Chowk on the Yellow Line. Sikanderpur, where the Rapid Metro meets the Yellow Line by a walkway, is a little further. Wikipedia records the Rapid Metro's Golf Course Road extension, from DLF Phase 1 through Sector 42-43 and on to Sector 55-56, opening in 2017. A tutor coming by metro will usually finish the trip by auto or on foot, so a later lesson needs an exit time that leaves room to reach the station.
Where tutors tend to come from. Tutors who travel to Hamilton Court are usually from nearby DLF phases, Sushant Lok, Sectors 27 and 28, or further along the Yellow Line. When a subject needs a specialist who lives further away, online lessons fill the gap. Our online tutors for Gurgaon families page explains that route.
Before the demo, register the tutor at the gate or through your society's visitor app, and send them three things: the wing, the flat number and the right lift. In a building of six joined wings, the wing letter or number does most of the work.
If the tutor drives, ask the estate office whether visitors may use the basement parking, which the architect describes as two levels reached from the central open space. A tutor turned away for parking near a busy market is the most common reason a first lesson starts late.
Once lessons are regular, ask the RWA or estate office how to set up a standing entry for a weekly visitor so the guard does not have to call each time. Keep the lesson inside the flat; the clubhouse and community hall listed for the society have their own booking rules, so check before planning to use them.
On safety: tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, and you can read what that covers on our how we check tutors page. It is not a police or background check, so keep an adult at home for the demo and the first few lessons, especially with younger children. If you prefer a woman tutor, say so in the request; our woman home tutor page for Gurgaon has more.
Children in DLF Phase 4 study across CBSE, ICSE and ISC, IB and Cambridge IGCSE. Several schools on our approved Gurugram list are within reach. In alphabetical order: Lancers International School in Sector 53, DLF Phase 5, follows IB (PYP, MYP, DP) and Cambridge IGCSE; Shiv Nadar School in DLF City Phase 1, E-Block, follows CBSE, IB MYP, Cambridge IGCSE and IB DP; Suncity School in Sector 54 follows CBSE; The Shri Ram School on Moulsari Avenue, DLF City Phase 3, follows CISCE (ICSE/ISC), Cambridge IGCSE and IB DP. NXTutors has no tie-up with any of them; they are named only to show which boards are common here.
That spread means the board matters more than the address. Tell us the board and year and the exact subjects, and for ICSE or ISC say whether the worry is written answers, project work or both. Families on ICSE often look at our ICSE home tutors in Gurgaon. For a side-by-side view of the boards, read our CBSE vs ICSE vs IB vs IGCSE guide.
Short, frequent lessons work for young children: three or four sessions a week of 45 minutes to an hour. In a large flat, pick one corner away from the television and keep it the same every time. A good primary tutor will look at the school diary and the week's worksheets, build reading habits, and keep number work concrete with objects and drawings rather than rushing to written sums.
These are the years when a child's way of studying gets set. Many families start with one tutor for Maths and Science and add English or a language later. Ask the tutor to look at classwork and the last test paper, not just the textbook, so gaps show up early. Our maths tuition at home in Gurgaon page explains how we match for Maths at this stage.
Board preparation starts in Class 9. For CBSE students, the board's own notice sets out two Class 10 board examinations from 2026, the second one optional for improvement, so ask the tutor to plan the year around the first one. For ICSE students, the Class 10 board year rewards neat, complete written answers. Two lessons a week per main subject is common, rising before exams. See our Class 10 tutors at home page.
Senior school usually means one specialist per subject: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Accountancy or Economics. If the child is also preparing for JEE or NEET, say so, because the tutor then needs to cover both school papers and entrance-style problems. For ISC, IB DP or A-level-style Cambridge work, ask for a tutor who has taught that exact course before.
IB MYP and DP students need tutors who know internal assessments and command terms; IGCSE students need someone who has worked with that syllabus's past papers. These are narrower skills, so a mix of home and online lessons is common for Hamilton Court families when the right specialist lives further away.
Children in one building can have very different calendars. CBSE board exams come early in the calendar year, and CISCE publishes ICSE and ISC timetables on its own site. IB Diploma students sit in the May or November session that their school uses, and Cambridge IGCSE candidates in India sit in the March, June or November series. Take dates only from the board or the school, never from forwards.
Agree with the tutor when lessons will move from new topics to timed papers, and whether you will add sessions in the last six weeks. Book any extra slots early; tutors' evenings fill up across DLF Phase 4 as exams approach.
Home tuition at Hamilton Court removes your child's travel altogether and lets you see how lessons go. The cost of that convenience falls on the tutor's journey: market parking, one-way roads and office traffic.
Online lessons skip the journey. They suit specialist subjects, exam weeks, rain days and late slots that end close to the last metro. A coaching centre moves the travel onto your child and fixes the batch timing; it can suit a student who wants a peer group for entrance practice, but it gives less individual attention.
Many Hamilton Court families combine them: a home tutor for the core school subjects twice a week and an online specialist for one paper. You can change the mix at any time, and switching tutor is free.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Tutors price their own lessons, and the figure is on screen before you book a demo. What moves it: the class and board (senior classes and IB or IGCSE cost more), how many subjects one tutor covers, the length and number of lessons each week, the tutor's experience with that exact syllabus, and the travel involved. A tutor who lives in a nearby phase may price a home visit differently from one crossing town, and online lessons can work out differently again. Ask the tutor how they charge for cancelled or rescheduled lessons before you start.
We could not find a public library near DLF Phase 4, so this section is short. OpenStreetMap shows an MCG community centre in Sector 27, run by the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram; ask the corporation or RWA what it can be used for before planning a session there. For a break between study blocks, the Chakkarpur Wazirabad Bundh green belt, marked by the Haryana Forest Department as an eco-restoration area, is within walking distance. For regular study, a fixed desk at home usually serves a child well.
