What home tuition costs in Gurgaon

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Home tuition in HUDA Plots: the local guide

Reviewed by NXTutors team · 16 Oct 2026 · Facts on places, roads and exams are checked against public sources.

Tutors for HUDA Plots homes: the short answer

Yes. If you live in a HUDA plotted house or builder floor along Golf Course Extension Road, NXTutors can send a tutor home or arrange online classes. Give us your house number, block and nearest sector, plus the class, board and subject, and we suggest two or three matched tutors who travel there. Fees sit on every tutor’s card before you choose, the demo lesson is free, and moving to another tutor later costs nothing.

On NXTutors, "HUDA Plots" is a locality label rather than one sector or one society. It covers the plotted housing that sits between the gated societies of our Golf Course Extension Road zone, mostly at the older northern end around Sectors 56 and 57. For the rest of the city, see the Gurugram hub.

What a HUDA plotted home looks like

HUDA, the Haryana Urban Development Authority, laid out much of Gurugram's older housing as plotted sectors before it was renamed HSVP in 2017. In those sectors, families own a plot and build on it, so the homes are independent houses or builder floors, often with one family on each level. Builder colonies and society towers were added around them later.

Locality listings for Sector 56 mention tower blocks, builder floors and independent houses side by side, and sale listings there include plots alongside flats. Sector 57 is described in the same mixed way: independent houses, standalone buildings and apartments, with sub-localities such as H-Block. That mix is exactly why we keep a separate page: a plotted house is a very different place to teach in than a 30-storey tower.

For tuition, the differences are practical. A tutor rings your bell rather than crossing a guarded gate and a lobby. A builder floor may have a shared staircase and a parking slot in front. Rooms are often generous, and a ground-floor room or a corner of the drawing room can be kept for lessons. Because many families on a plot live across two or three floors, decide which floor the tutor should come to and tell the others at home.

Which tutor fits your child?

What plotted-sector families plan around

Locality reviews for Sectors 56 and 57, and news on HSVP sectors, raise a few points that are really about timing and planning.

  • Parking in narrow lanes. Residents in HSVP sectors have complained of cars filling bylanes, partly because some homes are used for offices or businesses. If your tutor drives, tell them where they can park safely, or suggest a two-wheeler.
  • Lighting and the walk from the main road. Some Sector 56 reviewers say a few streets lack proper lighting. For a lesson that ends after dark, a tutor who walks from a bus stop may appreciate a well-lit route, or a family member at the corner.
  • Power and water in summer. Reviews mention occasional power cuts and summer water problems. Keep a charged lamp or inverter-backed light in the study room, and have a plan to finish a lesson online if the power goes out.
  • Inner roads and traffic. Sector 57 reviewers rate the inner layouts and traffic lower than its connectivity and safety. Heavy rain makes this worse: reports from 2024 and 2025 list the Extension Road among stretches that slowed or flooded.
  • Green space. Reviewers also like the parks and evening walks, including a HUDA park and a yoga park in Sector 56 and Sector 57's own park. A short walk before a lesson can help a restless child settle.

These are paraphrased themes from public sources, listed at the end.

How tutors reach the plotted sectors

The plotted pockets at the northern end of the zone are among the easier places on the Extension Road for a tutor to reach. Sector 57 sits on Golf Course Extension Road and Nirvana Road, and Sector 56 runs along the Southern Peripheral Road, with Rajesh Pilot Road listed as its main arterial road. A tutor from Sushant Lok, Sohna Road or the Golf Course Road sectors has a direct drive.

The Rapid Metro terminus at Sector 55–56 is about 3.2 km from Sector 57 and closer for parts of Sector 56. It links along Golf Course Road to Sikanderpur on the Yellow Line, so a tutor from DLF or the Yellow Line can ride in and take an auto for the last part. Millennium City Centre Gurugram, the Yellow Line terminus, is another start point for tutors coming from central Gurugram. Bus stops are listed at Sector 57 and Tigra Village Chowk.

What slows a first visit is not the main road but finding the house. Plot numbers do not always run in order, and block letters repeat across sectors. Send a map pin and the block, house number and nearest landmark, such as a park or market, before the demo.

Once a tutor is regular, these sectors are easy to fit into a round. A tutor who teaches another child in Sector 56 or Sushant Lok earlier in the evening can often reach you next with little travel, so tell us any flexibility in your timing; it widens the choice of tutors we can suggest.

Entry, doorbells and safety on a plot

Most HUDA plotted lanes have no society gate, so there is no visitor app or guard to clear. That makes the first visit simpler, but it puts the safety steps on the family. Share the tutor's name and photo with whoever opens the door, agree a doorbell or phone call on arrival, and keep the lesson in a room near the entrance rather than an upstairs bedroom.

If your lane does have a residents' gate or a guard at night, tell the tutor the times it is shut. For a builder floor, mention which floor and whether the staircase is shared.

Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, explained on our how we check tutors page; it is not a police or background check. For a young child, it helps to have an adult at home and the door ajar. If you want a woman tutor, ask when you book, or start from our women home tutors page.

Boards plotted-sector families ask about

Families in these HUDA pockets ask about CBSE, ICSE and ISC, IB and Cambridge IGCSE. From the approved school list we use, Scottish High International School is in Sector 57 and offers IB PYP and DP, Cambridge IGCSE and CISCE (ICSE/ISC), while Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Sector 62 follows CBSE. These names only show which syllabuses local tutors come across; NXTutors has no link with either school.

A plotted house gives room for a proper study table, a bookshelf and a whiteboard, which helps any board. What changes by board is the material: NCERT books for CBSE, the CISCE syllabus for ICSE, and the syllabus guide and past papers for IB or IGCSE. Our board comparison guide sets out the differences, and the CBSE home tutor page for Gurgaon covers that board in depth.

Class by class in a plotted home

Early years and primary

Keep the room the same every time, close to where a parent is, and keep sessions short. A lesson just after the evening walk in the park, rather than before it, often goes better. Ask the tutor to write a line each day in a notebook so the next session starts where this one ended.

Classes 6 to 8

Children start carrying more homework and more subjects. A single tutor for Maths and Science is a common start, with English writing added if school feedback asks for it. A plotted home with a separate study lets the tutor set up charts and leave them on the wall.

Classes 9 and 10

From Class 9, the tutor should be working to a written plan with regular tests. Families often book a science home tutor and a maths tutor on different days so each subject gets steady attention through the year.

Classes 11 and 12

Senior students often need a separate specialist per subject. Because the northern sectors are relatively easy to reach, more home tutors can fit you in than in the far end of the zone, but a strong online specialist is still worth trying for advanced topics.

JEE, NEET and other entrances

Ask the tutor how many hours a week the plan needs, how board and entrance work will be split, and how mock tests will be reviewed. Dates come only from the National Testing Agency's own site.

Exam months and how to plan them

CBSE now runs two Class 10 board examinations in a year, the later one for students who want to improve; plan the main revision for the first. CISCE publishes ICSE and ISC timetables on cisce.org, IB Diploma exams run in May and November, and Cambridge has March, June and November series. Check dates only on the board's own website. In plotted homes, summer power cuts can hit May exam revision, so keep backup lighting ready.

Home, online or a centre, from a HUDA plot

Home tuition is easy to arrange in a plotted house: no gate to clear, a room by the door, and a tutor who can be at your bell within minutes of parking. Being at the northern end of the zone, close to Golf Course Road and the metro, also widens the set of home tutors who can come.

Online classes still earn their place for specialist subjects, for power-cut evenings when a lesson needs to finish on a phone, and for monsoon days. A coaching centre is closer here than for families deep in the zone, but your child still travels in evening traffic; weigh that against the time saved at home.

Fees for tutors coming to plotted homes

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Within the range, the fee depends on the class and board, the subject, the tutor's experience, how many sessions a week you book and how long each one runs. Travel time at your slot can matter too, though the northern plotted sectors are easier for many tutors to reach. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching later is free.

Quiet places nearby

We did not find a sourced public library in these sectors. Sector 57 has a park of its own, and Sector 56 has a HUDA park and a yoga park, which suit a walk before study rather than study itself. In a plotted home, a ground-floor room kept only for school work is the most dependable quiet spot.

About this Area

HUDA Plots (Huda Plots) is filed as a locality rather than a sector or a single housing project, so no one sector number is attached to it. We place it in the Golf Course Extension Road zone, and the PIN code on record is 122011. Pages listed near it include Golf Course Extn and Heritage One, and the zone runs across Sectors 55 to 66.

That code is shared with pages as varied as Sushant Lok Phase 2, Sector 57, Paras Exotica and Vipul Belmonte. Because a PIN can cover a wide spread, tell us your plot or house number and nearest sector in your message, and we can judge who is really close. Other pages on 122011 include Ireo Grand Arch, Emaar Emerald Hills, Sun City and Sector 60.

If the free demo goes well, carry on; if not, switching tutor later is free. For subjects such as IB maths or senior physics, where a home tutor nearby may not fit, online lessons are an option worth weighing. Our school list has no entry for the locality itself; within the zone, Heritage Xperiential Learning School follows CBSE and Scottish High International School offers ICSE and ISC, IB (PYP, DP) and Cambridge IGCSE.

FAQs

Tutors do come to builder floors and independent houses in the HUDA plotted sectors, not just to gated societies. Tell us the floor and whether the staircase is shared, and the tutor will come straight to your door, which often makes the first visit quicker than in a tower.
Send NXTutors your HUDA Plots address with block, house number and nearest sector, plus the class, board and subject, and we match two or three tutors who travel there. Each fee is shown before you book, the first class is a free demo, and you can switch tutor later for free.
Tutors who teach in HUDA Plots homes set their own fees within the range seen across NXTutors, and every fee is shown upfront. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Yes, for a HUDA Plots home you can ask for a woman tutor, and NXTutors will match only women tutors who travel to your sector or teach online. Tutors who join go through an ID check; many parents keep an adult at home for early lessons.
For many children in the HUDA plotted sectors, a home tutor is simpler because there is no gate to clear and the lesson happens in a room by the door. Coaching suits a student who wants group practice and can manage evening traffic. Online suits specialist subjects.
The nearest metro to the HUDA plotted pockets is Sector 55–56 on the Rapid Metro, about 3.2 km from Sector 57. It connects with the Yellow Line at Sikanderpur, so a tutor can ride in and take an auto for the last stretch.
Yes, tutors who travel to HUDA Plots homes include ICSE, ISC and IGCSE teachers as well as CBSE and IB ones, and we match by board. Tell us the level and the school's textbook so the demo uses the right material.
Yes, home tuition for a plotted house in Sector 57 is covered under HUDA Plots and the Sector 57 page. Share your block and house number, and NXTutors matches tutors who already teach in the northern Extension Road sectors. Mention whether you want lessons on weekdays or weekends, and the fee and demo steps are the same as anywhere else.
For a builder floor in Sector 56, share the house number, block, floor and a map pin, plus the class and board. Mention where a tutor can park in your lane, since bylane parking can be tight in plotted sectors.
HUDA Plots has no single sector number because it is recorded as a locality covering plotted housing across several Extension Road sectors. Tell us your actual sector, such as 56 or 57, so we can rank the tutors who are really closest.
Yes, NXTutors matches maths tutors for HUDA plot homes in Sectors 56 and 57, from primary classes to Class 12, IB and IGCSE. Share the board, chapter and last test so the free demo begins at the right point. Families often start with maths and add a second subject once the routine settles.
If power fails during a lesson in a HUDA Plots home, carry on by backup light or move the rest online. Keep a lamp in the study and a charged phone or laptop nearby. Agree this with the tutor at the demo so no lesson is lost.
In HUDA plotted lanes, tell the tutor where they can park without blocking a neighbour, or suggest a two-wheeler, because bylanes can fill with cars. A spot in front of your gate, if you have one, saves time. If the lane is one-way or blocked on market days, send that with the address before the first visit.
Often yes, in a HUDA Plots home one tutor can teach two children back to back if their subjects and boards overlap. Mention both classes when you book, and ask how the fee works for two sessions in one visit.
Because it is recorded as a locality, not a sector or a single project. You will still see the closest tutors first: those who live in HUDA Plots or travel there, then tutors from across the Golf Course Extension Road zone. Mention your nearest sector so we can match well.
Your plot or house number and the nearest numbered sector come first, because the locality has no sector of its own on record. Then add the board, class, subject, the textbooks in use and two slots that suit you. With those, the matched tutors can plan a sensible free demo at your home.
