What home tuition costs in Gurgaon

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Home tuition in Sector 56, Gurugram: the local guide

Home tuition in Sector 56: the short answer

Yes, a home tutor can come to Sector 56, whether you live in a cooperative society flat, a HUDA plot house or a builder floor. Tell NXTutors the class, board, subject and your block or society, and we suggest two or three matched tutors who travel to the sector or teach online. Each tutor's fee is visible before the demo, the first class is free, and changing tutor later costs nothing.

Sector 56 sits where Golf Course Road ends and the Golf Course Extension Road zone begins, with the last Rapid Metro station on its edge. That mix of metro, a busy junction and very different housing types is what this guide is about. For the wider city, see home tutors across Gurugram.

How Sector 56 is built, and what that means for a tutor

Sector 56 is not one big gated township. Property listings describe three kinds of home side by side: cooperative group housing societies, independent builder floors on plots, and a few newer apartment projects. Addresses in the plotted part are written as "HUDA Plots, Sector 56" with a house number, which tells a tutor straight away that there is no tower to find.

Cooperative societies

Listings name several cooperative and welfare-organisation societies here, among them AWHO Devinder Vihar, Kendriya Vihar, Rail Vihar CGHS and Jalvayu Towers. Kendriya Vihar is listed with 16 low-rise towers of about four floors on roughly five acres, with one- to three-bedroom flats, a clubhouse and a community hall. Societies of this kind usually have one main gate with a guard register, and blocks that look alike from the road, so the block number matters more than the society name.

HUDA plots and builder floors

In the plotted lanes, a home may be a whole house or one floor of a building shared with other families. A tutor arrives at your own door rather than a society gate, but house numbers in plotted sectors do not always run in order, so a map pin saves a lot of circling.

Newer projects

Trevoc Royal Residences is listed as under construction in the sector. If you are moving into a new project, ask the site or management office how visitors will be registered before the first lesson.

Not sure which kind of home a tutor is used to? Ask at the demo. Someone who has taught in both plotted lanes and society blocks will plan the route and parking better.

Which tutor fits your child?

What Sector 56 parents plan around

News reports and property-portal pages raise a few themes again and again for this sector. Here is what each means for a weekly tuition plan.

  • The junction. AIT Chowk joins Sectors 53, 54, 55 and 56 and carries traffic between Cyber City, Golf Course Road and MG Road. A 2025 report describes long jams at morning and evening office peaks and an underpass that has been proposed but not approved. A tutor coming from the north usually crosses it, so a lesson that starts before the evening rush is easier to keep.
  • Monsoon water. In July 2024 a state minister ordered GMDA and the municipal corporation to inspect waterlogging in Sectors 55, 56 and 57 and the two Sushant Lok phases next door. Agree in advance that a waterlogged evening becomes an online lesson, rather than a cancelled one.
  • The metro close by. Portal pages stress the Sector 55–56 station as a strength of the sector. For tuition, that opens the door to tutors who do not drive.
  • A busy evening market. HUDA Market in Block B stays open late with food stalls, and a visitor guide advises going off-peak to avoid crowding and parking trouble. If you live near it, warn a driving tutor that evening parking can be slow.

Reaching Sector 56 by metro and by road

Sector 55–56 is the last station at the southern end of the Rapid Metro, an elevated stop that opened in March 2017. A portal guide puts it about 0.6 km from Sector 56. The line runs north along Golf Course Road through Sector 54 Chowk, Sector 53-54, Sector 42-43 and DLF Phase 1 to Sikanderpur, where riders change to the Delhi Metro Yellow Line.

That is useful in two ways. A tutor living along Golf Course Road or the DLF phases can ride down and walk the last stretch. A tutor from Delhi or the Yellow Line can change once at Sikanderpur. Ask which gate or lane is nearest the station and send it with your address.

By road, tutors from the old city and MG Road come down Golf Course Road and through AIT Chowk. Those from the Extension Road sectors to the south, and from Sohna Road, approach along Golf Course Extension Road, which was built to link Golf Course Road with Sohna Road. Tutors from Sushant Lok Phase 2, which borders the sector, can come across without using the main roads at all.

When you compare the two or three tutors we suggest, look at where each one is coming from as well as the subject fit. A short local journey usually means fewer late starts over a school year.

Gates, parking and safety in Sector 56

For a cooperative society, give the guard or office the tutor's name, phone number, lesson days and your block and flat before the demo. Ask whether a regular visitor can be entered once for the term. Kendriya Vihar, for one, lists visitor parking, CCTV and an intercom, but each society sets its own rules, so check yours.

For a HUDA plot house or builder floor, there is usually no guard to stop a tutor, which makes the address you send more important. Share the house number, the floor, a landmark and a map pin, and say where a car or scooter can stand without blocking a neighbour.

Keep lessons in a shared room of your home, with an adult at home for younger children. Would you rather have a woman tutor? Say so in the request and we look for a woman home tutor in Gurgaon who fits the class and timing. Every tutor who joins NXTutors goes through an ID check, which means confirming a phone number or email with a one-time code and uploading a government photo ID for our team to review. It is not a police or background check, so read how we check tutors and meet the tutor at the free demo.

Boards Sector 56 families ask about

Two schools on our approved list sit in this zone. Scottish High International School in neighbouring Sector 57 offers IB PYP, Cambridge IGCSE, ICSE/ISC and IB DP, and Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Sector 62 follows CBSE. So requests from Sector 56 tend to span CBSE, ICSE/ISC, IGCSE and IB. We name the schools only to show which boards are in play; there is no tie-up with either.

What changes at home is mostly the books and the marking style. Tell the tutor the board and the exact textbooks, and share a recent test paper. For a CBSE child, our CBSE tutors in Gurgaon page goes further; ICSE families can ask for a tutor who knows the CISCE papers. To weigh the boards against each other, read our board comparison guide.

Tuition in Sector 56, class by class

Nursery to Class 5

Young children do well with short lessons at a fixed time. In a low-rise society or a plot house, a tutor who comes three afternoons a week and works through the school diary, reading and number facts keeps things steady without long sessions.

Classes 6 to 8

These are the years when maths gaps open quietly. A maths home tutor in Gurgaon who checks the school notebook every week and sets a small amount of extra practice catches problems before Class 9. Science and English often join later in the same visit.

Classes 9 and 10

Board work starts. CBSE students lean on NCERT and sample papers, and from 2026 Class 10 has a second board exam that can be taken to improve scores. ICSE students carry many papers; IGCSE students need to know their tier. Our Class 10 home tutors page explains what a tutor covers in that year.

Classes 11 and 12

Most families hire a separate tutor for each main subject. Because the metro is so close, a senior student from Sector 56 can also travel to a tutor along the line for one subject and keep home lessons for another. For JEE or NEET alongside school, a mix of home and online lessons keeps the week manageable.

Exam season in Sector 56

With several boards in the area, exam months differ from home to home. CBSE and CISCE board exams come early in the calendar year, with CISCE timetables on cisce.org. For IB Diploma students the sessions are May and November; Cambridge families plan around March, June and November series. Ask the tutor to switch to timed papers six to eight weeks ahead, and keep a rain plan for any pre-board lessons that fall in the monsoon.

Home tutor, online or a centre from Sector 56

A home tutor keeps your child off the AIT Chowk roads in the evening and lets you see how lessons go. In a plot house there is usually a quiet room to spare; in a smaller society flat, agree on a corner that is free during lesson time.

Online lessons make sense for a rare subject, an IB or IGCSE specialist who lives far away, or a wet week. Our online tutors in Gurgaon page explains how that works. A centre along the metro line is within reach for older students, but late classes mean a walk back from the station after dark. Many families here combine the two: a home tutor for school subjects and one online or centre class for a specialist need.

What home tuition costs in Sector 56

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. In Sector 56, as elsewhere, the tutor decides the fee and it is on screen before the free demo.

The class, board and subject move the fee most, followed by lesson length and the number of lessons a week. A tutor who rides the metro and walks from the station may prefer fewer, longer lessons, while one living next door in Sushant Lok may be happy with shorter, more frequent visits. Ask how missed lessons, holidays and extra pre-exam sessions are handled before you agree.

Quiet places to study around Sector 56

We could not find a public library in Sector 56 to point you to. Kendriya Vihar lists a community hall and clubhouse, and other societies may have similar rooms; whether they can be used for study is up to each society. For most families, a fixed quiet room at home remains the study space.

AI-first tutoring, with real teachers

How AI matching finds a tutor for Sector 56

You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sector 56 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

  1. 1. It reads your requestClass, board (CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, IB or IGCSE), subject and the time slots that suit you.
  2. 2. It ranks by fit and distanceSubject and board first, then tutors who list Sector 56 among the areas they travel to, then the rest of Golf Course Extension Road, then Gurugram.
  3. 3. It offers online where it fitsIf home tutors for your subject are thin near Sector 56, it says so and suggests online tutors instead of stretching the distance.
  4. 4. You meet the tutorThe first class is a free demo at home or online. You decide after it, not the algorithm.

Where AI stops and people start

  • Tutors who join go through an ID check by our team (how we check tutors). Sample profiles are marked as samples.
  • Teachers set the plan and have the final say on how your child learns.
  • The AI can make mistakes, and we say so: check important answers with the teacher.

About this Area

Living in Sector 56 but in a society without its own NXTutors page? This sector page is meant for you. None of the projects in Sector 56 has a separate page yet, so every request from the sector starts here. Families from any society in the sector are welcome to use it.

Sector 56 belongs to the Golf Course Extension Road zone, and its PIN, 122011, also appears on Sector 55, Sector 57, Ireo Grand Arch and Paras Exotica. Give us your society and house number, as a postcode by itself cannot say how close a tutor really is. Sun City, Vipul Belmonte, Emaar Emerald Hills and Sector 60 carry the same code.

Pages listed nearby include Pioneer Presidia and M3M St Andrews (Golfestate). For Class 11 and 12 science or commerce, it can make sense to combine a home tutor with an online specialist. Whichever you choose, the trial lesson is free, and a short list of chapters still to cover helps the tutor plan it. For school boards, the zone list has two names: Heritage Xperiential Learning School (CBSE, Sector 62) and Scottish High International School (ICSE and ISC, IB (PYP, DP), Cambridge IGCSE, Sector 57).

FAQs

To get a home tutor in Sector 56, Gurgaon, send NXTutors the class, board, subject and your block or house number. We suggest two or three matched tutors and show each fee before you book. Your first class is a free demo, and moving to a different tutor at any later point costs nothing.
Home tuition in Sector 56 is priced by each tutor, and you see the fee before the free demo. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Yes, you can ask for a woman home tutor in Sector 56 when you send the request. We look for women tutors who match the class, subject and timing. Tutors who join go through an ID check, and you meet the tutor at the free demo before you decide anything.
Yes, the Sector 55–56 Rapid Metro station is about 0.6 km from Sector 56, which helps tutors who do not drive. It is the southern end of the line, which links up Golf Course Road to Sikanderpur and the Yellow Line. Tell the tutor which gate or lane is nearest the station.
For a Sector 56 Class 10 student, a home tutor saves the evening trip through AIT Chowk and gives one-to-one attention. A centre along the metro line suits a child who wants a group pace. Some families pick home tuition for weak subjects and keep group classes for revision.
Tutors coming to Sector 56 teach CBSE, ICSE/ISC, Cambridge IGCSE and IB, because schools across this zone follow all four. Scottish High International School in Sector 57 and Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Sector 62 are on our approved list. Tell us the board and textbooks, and we match accordingly.
Yes, maths tutors can teach at HUDA plot houses and builder floors in Sector 56 as well as in the societies. Share the house number, floor and a map pin, since plotted lanes are harder to find than a society gate. The first maths lesson is a free demo.
Yes, tutors can teach inside cooperative societies such as Kendriya Vihar and Rail Vihar CGHS in Sector 56, subject to each society's visitor rules. Give the guard the tutor's name and lesson days in advance, and share your block number, because the low-rise blocks look alike from the road.
When heavy rain floods roads around Sector 56, switch that lesson online rather than cancel it. In July 2024 waterlogging was reported in Sectors 55, 56 and 57. Agree the plan with the tutor at the start, so neither side has to decide at the last minute.
In Sector 56, lessons that start mid-afternoon or on weekend mornings avoid the office peaks at AIT Chowk, which news reports describe as heavily jammed morning and evening. A tutor living south of the junction, or one coming by metro, is less affected by those peaks.
Yes, a Sector 56 student can take some or all lessons online with NXTutors. This suits IB, IGCSE or senior science specialists who live far away, and rainy or exam weeks. Many families keep one home lesson a week and add online sessions around it.
A Class 12 physics tutor for Sector 56 starts after you pick one of the two or three matched tutors and the free demo goes well. Share the board, the chapters done and the exam month. Senior physics tutors have busy evenings, so a flexible slot widens the choice.
If you live near HUDA Market in Sector 56, warn a driving tutor that evening parking can be slow, since the market stays busy late into the evening. Suggest a spot to park or a nearby lane, or choose a tutor who comes by metro or scooter.
For senior classes or a specialist subject, often yes. If no tutor tied to Sector 56 or the Golf Course Extension Road zone matches your board, a teacher working online can cover the same syllabus. Tell us which subject should move online, if any. Younger children usually settle better with home lessons, at least to begin with.
Possibly. Tutors who live in Sector 56 or happily travel here are shown first; after them come teachers from elsewhere in the Golf Course Extension Road zone, where Pioneer Presidia sits, then the wider city and online teachers. Pioneer Presidia also has its own page to compare, and a free demo settles the timing.
