Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 59 sits in our Golf Course Extension Road zone of Gurugram, at the point where the gated towers along the Extension Road meet the older village lanes of Ullawas and the foothills of the Aravallis.
| What | Sector 59 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Golf Course Extension Road (Sectors 55 to 66) |
| Next to | Sectors 58, 60 and 61, and the Ghatta Kanarpur area |
| Housing | Large gated societies such as Tata Raisina Residency, Mahindra Luminare and Conscient Hines Elevate, beside village lanes and independent houses around Ullawas |
| Nearest metro | Sector 55–56, the end station of Rapid Metro Line 1, roughly 2.5 km away by listing estimates; Sector 54 Chowk is one stop further |
| Main roads | Golf Course Extension Road along one edge; Golf Course Road a couple of kilometres north |
| Offices inside the sector | Tech parks such as Tata Intellion Park, International Tech Park Gurgaon and Capital Cyberscape |
| Boards families ask about | CBSE most often, then IB, Cambridge IGCSE and ICSE/ISC |
| Easier session windows | Late afternoon before office traffic builds, or weekend mornings |
Sector 59 is a mixed sector. Property portals list apartments in large gated projects as well as independent houses, and the sector also holds offices: NoBroker names Tata Intellion Park, International Tech Park Gurgaon and Capital Cyberscape inside its boundary, and Square Yards places Galaxy Magnum Towers, an office park, a few hundred metres from Mahindra Luminare. So the same roads carry office workers in the morning and school buses in the afternoon.
The housing falls into three rough groups.
For tuition, the housing group matters more than the sector name. A tutor going to a society deals with a guard desk, a visitor app and a walk to the right tower. A tutor going to a village-side house deals with lane parking and finding the right gate, often with a phone call from the parent. When you write to us, say which kind of home you live in; it changes which tutor will find the trip easy.
Public reviews of Sector 59 and its societies on property portals keep coming back to a few points. None of them stops home tuition, but each one changes how you plan it.
Most tutors who teach in Sector 59 come by road. The Extension Road runs along the sector, and Golf Course Road is roughly two to three kilometres north, according to Square Yards listings for the societies here. A tutor based in the other Extension Road sectors, such as Sector 58, Sector 61 or Sector 57, usually has the simplest trip.
The nearest station is Sector 55–56, which opened in March 2017 and is the last stop on Rapid Metro Line 1. From there the line runs up Golf Course Road through Sector 54 Chowk, Sector 53-54, Sector 42-43 and DLF Phase 1 to Sikanderpur, where riders change to the Yellow Line. A tutor who lives near any of those stations can ride down and take an auto for the remaining distance. It is worth agreeing a pick-up point if your tower is deep inside a large society.
Tutors coming from the Golf Course Road side often pass AIT Chowk, where Sectors 53 to 56 meet. The Tribune describes long queues there at the morning and evening office peaks, and GMDA has proposed an underpass that was not yet approved in May 2025. A tutor from the Sohna Road side reaches the sector along the Extension Road from Vatika Chowk. In October 2022 GMDA invited bids to upgrade that road and the Southern Peripheral Road, for the benefit of Sectors 57 to 71, so sections may be under repair when you book.
For senior subjects, the right tutor may live across the city. In that case many families keep one home class a week and add one or two online tuition sessions in Gurgaon with the same teacher.
The gated Sector 59 societies take security seriously. Square Yards lists round-the-clock security, CCTV and intercom for Tata Raisina Residency, and smart-card access and CCTV for Mahindra Luminare. That is reassuring for parents, and it also means a tutor cannot simply walk in.
Every tutor who joins NXTutors goes through an ID check, in which our team reviews a government photo ID after the tutor confirms a phone number by one-time code. It is not a police or background check, so meet the tutor at the free demo and keep an adult at home for the first few sessions. How we check tutors explains the process.
Families in Sector 59 ask for CBSE, IB and Cambridge IGCSE, and ICSE and ISC tutors. Two schools on our approved Gurugram list are close by in this zone: Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Sector 62 follows CBSE, and Scottish High International School in Sector 57 offers IB PYP and DP, Cambridge IGCSE and ICSE/ISC. We name them only so you can tell us the board; we have no link with either school.
For a home tutor, the board decides the books on the table. CBSE tutors work from NCERT texts, while IB and IGCSE tutors need the school's own unit plans and past papers, so keep those handy at the demo. CBSE now runs two Class 10 board exams from 2026, the second for improvement. For a side-by-side look at the four boards, read our CBSE vs ICSE vs IB vs IGCSE guide.
Young children in this sector often reach home late because school buses cover long routes along the Extension Road. A 45-minute session after a snack and a break works better than a tutor waiting at the door. For reading, handwriting and number sense, a primary home tutor who comes twice a week is usually enough. If you would like a woman tutor for this age, say so when you write.
This is when maths and science get harder and many children start to drift. A tutor who covers both subjects keeps the visit count low, which matters when every visit means a gate, a visitor app and a walk to the tower. Ask the tutor to set a short weekly test so you can see progress without sitting in.
Board pressure begins in Class 9. CBSE families tend to want a maths tutor in Gurgaon who knows the NCERT exercises and sample papers; IGCSE families want someone who has taught the Extended or Core papers. Plan the year so the tutor finishes the syllabus before the school's pre-boards.
Senior classes split by stream. Science students often need separate physics, chemistry and maths teachers, and IB Diploma students may need a subject specialist for HL papers. Specialists are fewer, so this is where online sessions with a tutor across the city make sense. If your child is also preparing for an entrance exam, say so at the start; a JEE tutor plans the year very differently from a board-only tutor.
Exam months are when extra sessions get added, and they also coincide with winter fog and, for IB students, the May session. CBSE and CISCE publish their own date sheets; IB Diploma exams run in May and November; Cambridge runs March, June and November series in India; and NTA announces JEE Main and NEET dates on its own site. Book any extra sessions a month ahead, and ask the tutor to switch to online for revision evenings so travel time goes into practice papers instead.
In Sector 59 the choice often comes down to travel. A coaching centre means your child, not the tutor, makes the trip across the Extension Road traffic, usually after a long school day. Home tuition brings the teacher to your door and gives one-to-one attention, at the cost of gate formalities and a slot that must suit both of you.
Online lessons remove the travel entirely and widen the pool to tutors across Gurugram and India, which helps for IB HL, IGCSE Additional Maths or JEE Advanced. Many families mix the two: home classes for younger children and for the main subject, online classes for a specialist or for revision. NXTutors is AI-first tutoring, with real teachers, so the tutor you meet at the demo is the one who teaches, at home or online.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Within that range, a few things move a Sector 59 fee. The class matters most: senior classes and international boards need deeper subject knowledge. Travel matters too; a tutor crossing AIT Chowk or the Vatika Chowk side at peak time gives up more of the evening than one from the next sector. Session length, the number of subjects and whether you want past-paper practice all count. Every tutor sets their own fee and you see it on the shortlist before the demo, so you can compare before anyone visits. The demo itself is free.
We could not find a public library or community reading room in Sector 59 that a source confirms, so this section stays short. Most children here study at home; if your society has a clubhouse room that residents may book, ask the management whether a tutor can use it. Otherwise, a quiet corner with a table, good light and no screen nearby is all a home lesson needs.

Three housing projects in Sector 59 already have their own NXTutors pages: Conscient Hines Elevate, Mahindra Luminare and Tata Raisina Residency. A family living in one of them will find a more focused list there. Anyone else in the sector, including homes in projects that do not yet have a page, should use this one. On the Mahindra Luminare and Tata Raisina Residency pages, tutors who mention that project by name are shown first, which helps if you live there.
Here, tutors who live in Sector 59 or are happy to travel to it come first, followed by others from the Golf Course Extension Road zone, then the rest of Gurugram, with online options at the end. Every card explains why that tutor is there.
Sector 59's PIN, 122011, is shared by eighteen pages, including Sector 55, Sector 56, Sector 57, Sector 60 and Paras Exotica, so someone from one of those might sit near the start of this list; a friendly question about the journey settles it. When you send a request, mention your project and tower, your child's board and the hours that suit you. Each tutor's fee is on the card before you book.
