Sector 57 is not one township but several layers sharing a sector number. On OpenStreetMap, its boundary takes in parts of Sushant Lok 2, the B1 Block of Sushant Lok 3, Richpal Colony and Rail Vihar, along with separate gated societies. Property portals describe plots and builder floors as the bulk of what is bought and rented here, with apartment societies alongside.

The plotted parts carry the Sushant Lok II and III names, and portals list a string of Ansal projects inside them. Here a typical home is a floor of a three- or four-storey building on a numbered plot, with a block letter in the address (for example, a portal lists homes in G Block). The gated societies are a different shape. BPTP Freedom Park Life is mapped with six towers lettered A to F. Portals and maps also name M2K The White House, Clarion The Legend, Harmony Homes, AEZ Aloha, IRWO Classic Apartment and Suncity Sukriti, a cooperative society. Hong Kong Bazaar Mall and a retail block called Sapphire 57 supply shops and eateries, and Scottish High International School stands within the sector.

For tutoring, this means a home visit in Sector 57 can look very different from street to street: a quick doorbell on a plotted lane, or a guard post, a lift and a tower lobby in a society. What Sector 57 families tend to think about

Locality reviews on property portals, read together, raise a handful of practical points. We pass them on as planning advice.

• Traffic at peak hours. Congestion is the most repeated complaint. A tutor crossing the Extension Road at office time can be late; a slot that starts mid-afternoon or after the evening rush is steadier.
• Parking. Reviewers mention poor parking, especially in plotted blocks where cars line both sides of the lane. If your tutor drives, find them a spot before the first class.
• Inner roads and water. Some reviews note rough roads in inner layouts and occasional water supply problems. These rarely affect a lesson, but a dry, quiet table matters more than people expect.
• Schools, markets and work are close. On the positive side, reviewers like having schools, hospitals, markets and offices nearby, which also makes it easier for a tutor to fit you between other classes in the same stretch.
• Rain. After heavy monsoon rain in July 2024, newspapers reported major jams on Golf Course Extension Road; keep an online backup ready for such evenings.

How tutors reach Sector 57

By road, mostly. Golf Course Extension Road is the main way in. Tutors coming from Golf Course Road or Sector 55 head south-west along it; those from Nirvana Country, Sohna Road or Sector 50 can use Nirvana Road and Rao Roopchand Marg, both mapped through the sector. Inside the plotted blocks, Sushant Lok 2 Main Road is the spine, and the gated societies have their own entries off the larger roads.

By metro and auto. There is no metro station in Sector 57. The nearest is Sector 55–56, the southern end of the Rapid Metro, which a portal places about 3.2 km away, with Sector 54 Chowk a little further. A tutor without a car can ride the Rapid Metro from Sikanderpur, where it meets the Yellow Line, and take an auto or cab for the last stretch.

By bus. A Tigra Village Chowk bus stop is mapped on the sector's edge, and portals list a Sector 57 stop as well.

Tutors who already teach in the neighbouring sectors (Sector 56, the Sushant Lok colonies, the Nirvana Road side) are usually the simplest fit for weekday visits. For a specialist from across the city, a weekend home class plus online sessions in the week is a common pattern.

Gates, guards and safety in Sector 57

How a tutor gets past the door depends on which kind of Sector 57 home you have.

• Sushant Lok blocks and Richpal Colony: share the block letter and plot number, and say which floor. Lanes can look alike, so a landmark such as the nearest park corner or shop helps.
• Gated societies: give the tower, flat and gate; at BPTP Freedom Park Life, for instance, say which tower letter. Pre-approve the tutor at the guard post or in the society app so the demo starts on time.
• In the home: for the opening classes, keep a parent nearby and choose a room where the door can stay open.

Boards in Sector 57

Sector 57 is one of the few sectors with a school from our approved Gurugram list inside it: Scottish High International School, which offers IB PYP and DP, Cambridge IGCSE and ICSE/ISC. NXTutors has no link with the school. Because one campus runs several syllabuses, requests from this sector often come with a question we must answer first: which programme is the child in? An ICSE Class 9 student and an IGCSE Year 10 student may sit in the same building but need quite different tutors.

Primary years

Short sessions, three or four days a week, built around reading, writing and basic maths. In a plotted block with family at home, a tutor can often come straight after school; in a society, allow a few minutes for the gate and lift.

Middle school

Classes 6 to 8 are where many students first fall behind in maths and science. A tutor who sets a short weekly test and keeps a notebook of errors helps more than one who only reteaches the chapter.

Classes 9 and 10

With several boards in one sector, the busy months differ by child.
