Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Heritage One is a ready-to-move apartment society by Conscient, listed on a site of about seven acres in Sector 62. The homes are three- and four-bedroom flats, and some resale listings describe a servant room as well. For a tutor, that usually means a family with room to set aside a desk away from the living area, which is worth doing before the first visit.
The portals do not agree on the layout. One listing puts the society at three towers, while the master-plan text on the same page talks of two residential blocks, and another portal shows a single tower of 23 floors. Because of this, do not assume a tutor can find your flat from the society name alone. Send the tower letter or block name, floor and flat number, and say which lift lobby to use.
The listing names a clubhouse and community building, a swimming pool and kids' pool, squash and badminton courts, a jogging and cycle track, an amphitheatre, a pre-school and an attached market. Two of these shape tuition directly. A pre-school inside the society means very young children may already have a full morning, so afternoon lessons fit better. The attached market and the courts mean children have plenty to do after school, and a fixed lesson time protects study hours from that pull.
Baani City Center, a shopping and dining complex, is listed about 0.3 km away, and AIPL Business Club, an office park, about 0.4 km. Office buildings this close mean the approach roads fill at the start and end of the working day, which is the main thing to keep in mind when you choose a lesson slot.
Public material on Heritage One itself is thin: one portal review, from an agent rather than a resident, praises clean, well-kept common areas. The locality reviews for Sector 62 on the same portal mention easy access to schools, hospitals and markets. Wider news about this road adds two practical points.
Most tutors come by road. Golf Course Extension Road, about 2.1 km away on the listing, is the main approach, and it links Golf Course Road in the north with Sohna Road in the south. Tutors living in the Sohna Road sectors or further along the Extension Road can usually reach Sector 62 without passing through the older, busier parts of the city.
The Rapid Metro does not reach Sector 62. Its southern terminus is Sector 55–56, an elevated station that opened in March 2017, so a tutor who rides the metro from Golf Course Road or Sikanderpur still needs an auto or cab for the last few kilometres. For that reason, a tutor who lives on this side of the city is often the more reliable choice for a twice-weekly plan.
Listings give the society's address in different ways, some on Maidawas Road and some on Sohna Road, so a map pin is better than a typed address. Mention a nearby landmark such as Baani City Center as well.
Heritage One lists smart card access, an intercom, CCTV and 24-hour guards. For a visitor, that usually means the guard calls the flat before letting anyone in. Before the demo, give the security desk the tutor's name, phone number and lesson days, and ask how a regular visitor is registered so that you are not called from the gate each time.
If the tutor drives, ask the security team where visitors may park; car-washing bays and a drivers' area are listed, so space inside may be marked. If the tutor comes by auto or cab, say which gate to stop at.
Keep lessons in your flat rather than the clubhouse, unless the society allows tutoring there, and have an adult at home with younger children. To ask for a woman tutor, mention it in the request and we look for a female home tutor in Gurgaon who suits the class. Tutors joining NXTutors pass an ID check of a one-time code and a government photo ID reviewed by our team, which is not a police check; here is how it works.
Heritage Xperiential Learning School, on our approved list, is in the same sector and follows CBSE, so CBSE requests are common from Heritage One. Scottish High International School in Sector 57, also on the list, offers IB, Cambridge IGCSE and ICSE/ISC, which is why those boards come up too. Naming the schools shows only which boards are taught nearby; NXTutors has no tie-up with either.
For a CBSE child, give the tutor the NCERT books and any school worksheets. Our CBSE home tuition in Gurgaon page sets out what a CBSE tutor covers. Comparing boards for a younger child? The CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE guide lays them side by side.
With a pre-school on campus, many little ones have a busy morning already. A gentle session of 30 to 45 minutes, two or three afternoons a week, focused on reading aloud, phonics and early numbers, is plenty.
The aim here is steady habits. A tutor who sits with the school diary, checks homework and adds short practice in maths and English keeps a child level with the class. Science can be added once the child moves past Class 5.
Board-year planning starts. A CBSE Class 10 student now has a second board exam later in the year to improve a score, which changes how revision is spread. Ask the tutor for a term plan that shows when the syllabus will be finished and when sample papers begin. A science home tutor is often the first subject families add.
By this stage a Heritage One student will often have a different tutor for Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology, or for Accountancy and Economics. In a four-bedroom flat there is often space for a quiet study room, which helps long problem-solving sessions. Our Class 12 home tutors page explains how families combine school subjects with JEE or NEET preparation, often with one weekly home lesson and online practice in between.
Children at Heritage One have a lot within the gates: a pool, courts, a jogging track, a clubhouse and a small market. That is a real advantage, but it means the week fills up quickly. Before you agree days with a tutor, write out your child's week on one sheet, with school hours, the bus or drive home, sport, music and any classes in the clubhouse.
Then pick two or three tuition slots that never move. For primary children, a slot soon after a snack works well; for older students, a slot after a short break and before dinner is easier than late at night. Keep one weekend morning free for a longer session in the months before exams. If a tutor is coming by road from a distant sector, ask whether siblings can be taught back to back in one visit, which saves the tutor a second journey.
CBSE board exams fall early in the calendar year, and the CBSE Class 10 improvement exam comes later. CISCE publishes ICSE and ISC timetables on its own site, the IB holds May and November sessions, and Cambridge runs March, June and November series. In the final month, a weekend timed paper at home, marked the same week, is more useful than extra new chapters.
With no metro in Sector 62, a centre means a drive for most children, and evening traffic near the office park makes that harder. A home tutor removes the journey completely and lets you watch progress.
Online works well for a specialist who lives across the city, for an IB or IGCSE subject at a higher level, and for heavy-rain weeks. A mixed plan, with one or two home lessons a week and a short online session for practice or doubts, is a common choice in this part of the city.
One more point for this society: if your child already spends the evening at the courts or the pool, an online lesson at a fixed hour right after can be easier to keep than waiting for a tutor to arrive. On the other hand, a younger child usually concentrates better with a tutor sitting beside them, so keep home lessons for the early years.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. You see each tutor's fee before the demo, and the tutor sets it.
What raises or lowers a fee at Heritage One is the same as anywhere: the class, the board and subject, how long each lesson runs and how many lessons you book a week. A tutor travelling from a distant sector may ask for fewer, longer lessons to make the trip worthwhile. Confirm early how holidays, missed lessons and pre-exam extras are counted.
We did not find a public library close to Heritage One. The society lists a clubhouse and community building, but whether a child may study there is up to the residents' rules. A fixed desk at home, away from the television, remains the simplest study space.
