Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Tulip Orange is a group-housing project of three-bedroom flats only. Square Yards puts it on about 5.5 acres, in two flat sizes of about 1,137 and 1,437 square feet. Its master plan shows eight residential blocks arranged in three groups, each block facing internal six-metre roads, while NoBroker and Houssed count eleven towers of eleven storeys. Whatever the count, ask the society office how blocks are numbered before you give directions to a tutor.
Handover is listed for early 2014, so families have lived here for over a decade. The plan sets the blocks back from the 24-metre access road, keeps a landscaped centre and plants a strip along the boundary wall. Square Yards gives green cover at more than half of the plot.
The two flat sizes matter a little for lessons. In the smaller layout of about 1,137 square feet, the third bedroom is often a child's room or a guest room, so a dining table near a window may be the practical spot for a weekly tutor. In the larger layout of about 1,437 square feet there is usually room for a fixed desk, a whiteboard on the wall and a shelf for workbooks that stays put between visits. Either works; what helps most is that the same place is used every time, so the child links it with focused work.
For a student, the facilities listed inside are unusually relevant. NoBroker names a library and an amphitheatre alongside the clubhouse, community hall, pool, gym and courts. Square Yards lists convenience shopping inside the complex and a bus shelter for children, which tells you school buses stop at the society.
Outside the wall, Spaze Forum, a shopping and dining block, is listed about 130 metres away, and a market known as Tulip Orange Market appears in nearby-place lists for several Tulip projects. The name of that market is also why tutors coming to Tulip White or Tulip Lemon sometimes ask for "near Tulip Orange" as a landmark.
Public listings and reviews give a few themes worth planning around.
The useful takeaway: choose a tutor whose route avoids the worst junction at your slot, and settle on a regular time early in the term.
The SPR runs about half a kilometre from the society, so a teacher coming from Golf Course Extension Road, Sector 66 or the Sector 70A side can reach the gate without touching Sohna Road. One coming from South City, Sector 49 or Sohna Road itself will usually pass through Vatika Chowk.
Metro travel is possible but long. NoBroker lists the Sector 55–56 Rapid Metro station about 9 km away, the Sector 54 Chowk station about 10 km and Millennium City Centre on the Yellow Line about 10 km. A tutor using any of them still needs an auto or cab for the last stretch. The planned Sector 56–Panchgaon metro is still at the project-report stage, so do not count on it this school year.
For buses, NoBroker names Badshahpur Bus Stand and the Vatika Chowk stop. In practice, most teachers who come to Sector 70 ride a scooter or drive.
The Sector 68–69 missing link and a new SPR to Sohna Road connection, both approved in August 2026, are meant to ease access for Sectors 69, 70 and 70A once built. Until then, a weekend morning or a weekday slot before office traffic often suits a tutor coming from across the city.
Unlike some neighbours with a single gate, the Tulip Orange master plan shows several entry and exit points and surface parking. That is handy for a tutor but worth clarifying:
Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, and their badge appears only after our team has reviewed the photo ID; read our ID check. It is not a police or background check. You may ask for a woman tutor, and you should sit in for part of the first lesson.
Two more practical points. Listings mention power backup and lifts, but in an older building a lift may be out for servicing now and then; let the tutor know before they arrive rather than at the gate. And if a tutor teaches another child in a nearby block afterwards, a firm end time keeps both families happy. A short message on the morning of each lesson, confirming the time, cuts most last-minute confusion.
Most Tulip Orange requests are likely to be for CBSE, with ICSE next and fewer international-board families. From our approved Gurugram school list, DAV Public School in Sector 49 and Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Sector 62 both follow CBSE; we mention them only to show what nearby schools teach, with no tie-up implied.
What changes for a home tutor is the book on the table. Ask for a CBSE home tutor in Gurgaon if your child uses NCERT books, or name ICSE, IGCSE or IB clearly. The full side-by-side is in our guide to choosing a board.
Young children settle faster with the same tutor at the same time each week. Use the after-school window once the bus drops them at the society shelter. Reading aloud, phonics, tables and simple word problems fill most sessions.
Fractions, algebra and the first proper science chapters arrive. A single tutor for maths and science keeps the plan joined up. Ask for a written week plan so you can see what was covered.
A Class 10 home tutor should work from the board's sample papers and your school's test calendar. Science is often split into physics, chemistry and biology chapters, and a parent may want two tutors here. CBSE now offers a second, optional Class 10 exam for improvement.
Stream subjects need specialists, and fewer of them travel this far down the SPR. Ask for a physics tutor who visits Sohna Road homes early in the year, before slots fill. Accountancy and economics tutors are also available.
Older students at Tulip Orange often have school until mid-afternoon and then a coaching or sports commitment, so weekend mornings become the anchor for senior tuition. Ask the tutor whether a two-hour weekend block plus one weekday hour would cover the syllabus at the pace your child needs.
For JEE or NEET, discuss how many hours a week go to school work and how many to entrance practice before you commit.
CBSE and CISCE publish their Class 10 and 12 timetables on their own sites; papers usually fall in February and March. IB Diploma students sit in May or November, and Cambridge students in the March, June or November series. Book extra pre-board sessions in November, because evening slots in Sector 70 get taken quickly. For JEE (Main) and NEET (UG), rely only on dates from the National Testing Agency.
Home tuition at Tulip Orange spares the child a trip through Vatika Chowk at peak hour. It also lets a parent hear how the lesson is going from the next room.
Online tuition widens the choice, especially for senior science and maths, where the specialist you want may live across the city. A laptop, a headset and a pen tablet or a camera pointed at the notebook are enough.
Coaching centres work for students who like batch pace and peer competition. Weigh the travel each way along the SPR, and the late return, before choosing one over a tutor at home.
Many Tulip Orange families end up with a blend: a home tutor for the core subject twice a week and an online session for a second subject or for doubt clearing before tests. The blend keeps travel for the visiting tutor to a minimum, and it gives the child a face-to-face anchor. Review the plan at the end of each school term and adjust the mix.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
What moves the rate within that band: the class, the subject, the board (IB or IGCSE work takes more preparation), how many days a week, and how far the tutor travels to Sector 70. A longer session can work out better value than two short ones for a tutor coming from far. You see each fee before the demo and pay nothing for that first class.
NoBroker lists a library inside the Tulip Orange complex and a Sector 70 HUDA park with walking tracks nearby. Ask the society office about library hours for residents; a clubhouse reading corner can be a calm place for revision away from home noise.

Before you contact a tutor about Tulip Orange, jot down four things: your child's board, the class, the textbooks used at school and the chapters already covered. With those, the two or three matched profiles we send can plan the free demo around your child rather than a generic lesson.
Tulip Orange is listed in Sector 70 of the Sohna Road zone. Tutors who live at Tulip Orange or travel to it appear first; the Sector 70 page and the pages for Tulip Ivory and Unitech South Park are useful if you want to compare other names. Other Sohna Road pages next to it, including SS The Hibiscus, Supertech Hues, Supertech Southend and Tata Primanti, keep their own lists, and teachers from around the zone follow the Tulip Orange names here.
Gate entry is simpler when the tutor is registered once and knows the tower and flat. If evenings are busy with school activities, say so: a weekend slot or a mix of home and online classes might suit better. For specialist subjects in senior classes, online tutors, shown last here, can work alongside a home tutor. Should the fit be wrong, switching tutor later is free.
