Mahindra Aura is one of the older gated societies on this side of the expressway. Mahindra Lifespaces built it in phases on about 17 acres, and Square Yards shows the master plan as eleven towers, lettered A to K. Listings show 2, 3 and 4 BHK layouts. A press release from December 2011, when the fourth phase was launched, placed the project next to Palam Vihar and said the first three phases were already sold out. Square Yards also lists the buildings as IGBC-certified.
The society is built around open green areas, and the amenity list is long. NoBroker names a clubhouse, community hall, amphitheatre, swimming pool, gym, tennis and badminton courts, indoor games, a park and a children's play area. Square Yards adds squash, a skating rink, a jogging and cycle track, table tennis, a card room and a party hall.
Why does that matter for tuition? Because a child in Aura often has a full evening without leaving the gate: swimming, tennis, skating and friends in the park. A tutor's slot has to sit around that rhythm. A lesson just before or just after the sports hour usually holds a child's attention better than one that cuts it in half.
Block letters help too. With eleven towers spread across 17 acres, telling a tutor "Mahindra Aura" is not enough. Say "Block F, ninth floor" and which gate is closest, and the first visit starts on time.
The resident reviews on Square Yards for Mahindra Aura praise its safety, well-kept common areas, green spaces and sports facilities, and some note the central position near Palam Vihar. The complaints in individual reviews are inconsistent water supply, slow maintenance service, and traffic noise from building work nearby.
For tuition, the noise point is the one to plan around. If your flat faces a construction site, pick a room on the quieter side for lessons, or schedule the tutor after the work stops for the day. A short online lesson can also cover a noisy afternoon.
Across Sector 110A, NoBroker's locality summary lists wishes for more green space outside the gated societies, better traffic management and more public transport. That last point decides how a tutor gets to you: buses are thin, the metro has not arrived, and tutors arrive by two-wheeler, car or cab.
Water and rain issues run along the whole expressway belt. A Tribune report in June 2024 described tanker suppliers pressing societies along the corridor, and a PTI report in July 2025 described a flooded expressway service lane near Sector 104 after heavy rain. In a monsoon week, agree with the tutor that one class can move online at short notice.
None of this stops home tuition. It simply argues for a fixed slot, a clear block and gate, and a backup plan for rain days.
Mahindra Aura's position next to Palam Vihar is its strength for tuition. A tutor already teaching in Palam Vihar or the older numbered sectors can reach Aura by local roads, while one coming from the expressway sectors can use the Dwarka Expressway, which Square Yards puts about half a kilometre away.
NoBroker lists four roads for the project: the Dwarka Expressway (NH-248BB), Bajghera Road, Carterpuri Road and the Old Delhi Gurgaon Road. Bajghera Road and the Bajghera railway crossing are the usual pinch point at busy hours, so a tutor coming from that side should allow for a wait at the crossing.
There is no metro in Sector 110A. The nearest operating station is Dwarka Sector 21 on the Blue Line and Airport Express, about 9 km away according to NoBroker, so a tutor who uses the metro will finish by cab or auto. A metro link from Rezang La Chowk in Palam Vihar to Dwarka Sector 21 has been on the drawing board since the Haryana cabinet approved its project report in October 2022; earlier proposals placed stations at Choma, Sector 110 and Sector 111. In January 2026 the state's metro corporation approved a revised report and sent it on for central approval. Until it is built, plan on road travel.
For tutors on the Delhi side, the Dwarka Expressway is the direct way in. The road runs from Shiv Murti near Mahipalpur to the Kherki Daula toll plaza, has been fully open since June 2025, and is built as an elevated carriageway through Sectors 102 to 113, Sectors 110 and 111 included, with service roads below. A tutor coming down from Dwarka can stay on the service road and turn towards Palam Vihar for Aura, which keeps the trip short outside the rush hours.
Gurgaon railway station is about 5 km from the project and Bijwasan station about 7 km. NoBroker also shows a Palam Vihar halt on the map and lists bus stops at Sector 111 and Palam Vihar.
Listings show Mahindra Aura with round-the-clock security, CCTV, an intercom and smart-card access for residents. A tutor will not have a card, so the guard needs to know them. Before the free demo, share the tutor's name and number with security or through your visitor app, and tell the tutor which gate to use.
NoBroker lists visitor parking at the society. Tell a tutor who drives where it is, and one on a two-wheeler where they may park, so that the lesson does not start with a search for space.
Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, in which a phone number is confirmed by a one-time code and the team reviews a government photo ID. For the first few weeks, an adult in the flat during the lesson is still the simplest safeguard, along with a study spot in a shared room rather than a closed bedroom.
If the class runs into the dark, ask the tutor to leave by the main, well-lit gate.
Our approved list of Gurugram schools has no school in the Dwarka Expressway zone, so we do not name any here. Families in Aura ask for CBSE, ICSE and ISC, IB and Cambridge IGCSE tutors, and the board is something you tell us rather than something we assume from the address.
The housing type changes the practical side. In a large gated society with its own clubhouse, a tutor may teach several children in different blocks on the same evening, which makes regular slots easier to keep. Tell the tutor the textbook series up front: NCERT for CBSE, the CISCE syllabus for ICSE and ISC, and the programme guides for IB and IGCSE. Keep lessons around 45 minutes to an hour. Young children in a society with this many play areas lose focus once friends start calling from the park, so book the tutor before play time. Our primary home tutors in Gurgaon page has more on this age.
This is when school maths and science start to stack up. One tutor for both subjects, twice or three times a week, is a practical start. Ask for a short written note after each lesson listing what was covered and what to practise.
The two board years. A home tutor should keep the school pace in Class 9 and add timed papers from the middle of Class 10. If sports or club activities take two evenings a week, plan lessons around them from the start rather than cutting them in February.
Science students often need separate tutors for Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology; commerce students for Accountancy and Economics. A physics home tutor in Gurgaon who can come to Sector 110A is worth booking early in the year.
JEE and NEET follow the National Testing Agency's published pattern, and IB Diploma or IGCSE students need a tutor who works from the subject guide. Such specialists may live across the city, so a mix of home and online lessons is normal.
The board timetable comes from the board, and nowhere else: cbse.gov.in, cisce.org, ibo.org or cambridgeinternational.org. IB Diploma papers are set in May and November sessions, and Cambridge offers March, June and November series in India.
For a child in Aura, the useful step is to hand the tutor a calendar of school tests, sports fixtures and family travel at the start of term. From the winter break onward, ask for full papers in exam conditions, perhaps in a booked clubhouse room if the society allows it.
A home tutor keeps your child inside the gate and lets you see how the lesson goes. In Aura, that also protects the after-school sports hour, because nobody loses time on the road.
Online lessons help when the right specialist lives far away, when rain floods a service road, or in exam weeks. Some senior students combine a home tutor for one subject with online lessons for another.
