Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

A tutor can teach your child at your Sector 23 home, online, or a bit of both. Share the class, board and subject with NXTutors, plus your gate or pocket (Gate 2, Gate 3, the East Pocket, or the side toward Carterpuri Road). We come back with two or three matched tutors who travel to Sector 23 or teach online, and you can compare their fees before choosing one. Nothing is charged for the demo class or for a later change of tutor.
Sector 23 is a HUDA sector of plotted homes, with numbered gates and its own market in the middle. The nearest metro is a ride away, so a tutor's route and your gate number matter more than the station map.

Sector 23 is a developed HUDA sector on the city's northern edge. Square Yards describes it as mainly plotted development and low-rise housing, and its listing counts lean heavily toward independent houses and builder floors, with plots, a few villas and a single apartment project behind them. NoBroker places it between Sector 23A, Sector 22 and Palam Vihar, under PIN 122017.
Addresses here often carry a gate number. OpenStreetMap has a clinic tagged "Sector 23, Near Gate No 3", NoBroker's bus list includes a stop at "Sector 23 Gate No 3/23 A" and a rental listing gives "east pocket gate no 2, market road". In practice, the gate is how residents and delivery riders find each other, and it works for tutors too. Tell the tutor which gate to enter by, and the first visit is half solved.
The HUDA Sector 23 Market, mapped on Market Road with its own parking and a small park beside it, is the sector's landmark. NoBroker lists a supermarket at numbers 27 and 28 of the HUDA Market. Because everyone knows it, "two lanes behind the market" is a direction a tutor can actually follow.
OpenStreetMap shows several community parks, including one labelled S2302 and an East Pocket community park, and a large public green mapped at the Sector 22 edge. A strip of land mapped as Usha Stud Farms sits inside the sector too. NoBroker reviewers mention that monkeys from open areas wander in, which is worth knowing if your tutor parks a two-wheeler with a bag on it.
On the map, part of the Palam Vihar colony falls within the Sector 23 boundary, and Carterpuri village lies just west. If your home is on that side, say so: a tutor coming from Palam Vihar will reach you from Carterpuri Road, not from the market.
We looked at public portal reviews of Sector 23 for recurring themes. They are paraphrased here, not quoted, and turned into tuition planning points.
Sector 23 is reached by road, and tutors come in from three directions.
The nearest working metro stations are well outside the sector. NoBroker lists Cyber City on the Rapid Metro at about 6.2 km, and Square Yards notes that people use IFFCO Chowk on the Yellow Line with a ride to reach it. A NoBroker reviewer mentions shared autos running from the market area toward IFFCO Chowk, which is how some tutors without a vehicle make the last leg. Palam Vihar Halt railway station is listed at about 2.5 km, useful for tutors on the rail line.
The second phase of Gurugram Metro Line 2 lists stations named Palam Vihar and Sector 23A next door, but that stretch is still being planned and has no date.
Bus stops named on NoBroker's map include Rezangla Chowk and a stop at the hospital on the Carterpuri side. If your tutor comes by bus, meet at the nearest gate on the first day.
Sector 23 is a plotted sector, so most tutors come straight to your door rather than through a society desk. A few habits make the first class smoother.
Every tutor who joins NXTutors goes through an ID check by our team (see how we check tutors). It confirms identity and is not a police or background check, so use your own judgement at the demo as you would with any new visitor.
If you would like a woman home tutor in Gurgaon, say so in your request. We match on it and are honest if the choice for your subject near Sector 23 is small.
Families in this part of north Gurugram ask for CBSE, ICSE and ISC help, and some for IB, IGCSE or the Haryana board. In a sector of family homes, it is common for a tutor to be asked to teach two children on different boards in the same visit; that works only if the tutor knows both, so list each child's board.
A home tutor's work in each board is different. An ICSE home tutor will push longer written answers and English precision; a CBSE tutor works from NCERT and sample papers. For the fuller comparison, read our guide to choosing a school board.
Short, regular sessions build reading and number sense. In a plotted home, a ground-floor room near the door keeps the visit simple and lets a parent look in. Ask the tutor how they set homework routines, since that matters more than the syllabus at this stage.
This is the stage to catch gaps in fractions, algebra basics and science reading before they grow. One tutor covering maths and science is usually enough, and the classes can be two or three a week.
Board pattern awareness, timed practice and regular tests count most here. Ask the Class 10 home tutor at the demo how they will track marks from month to month and share them with you.
Each subject needs its own specialist, and the right physics or accountancy tutor may live far from Sector 23. Home visits two days a week with online sessions in between is a common, workable pattern.
For JEE or NEET students who go to a coaching centre, a home tutor is most useful for doubt clearing and board marks. Keep the tutor's days clear of coaching days, and tell them which coaching material your child uses.
From December to the board exams, extra revision classes usually help a Sector 23 student more than new topics. Ask the tutor for a plan of past papers and timed tests, and put the extra classes on days when traffic on Palam Vihar Road is lighter for them. Check exam dates only on the board's own site; CISCE, for example, publishes ICSE and ISC timetables at cisce.org.
A useful habit for exam months in a plotted home: keep the tuition room the same every time, with old papers, a clock and a rough notebook on the table. Timed practice at home then feels close to the exam hall, and the tutor can spend the session on mistakes rather than setting up.
Home classes suit Sector 23 well: homes are plotted, tutors come to the door, and Palam Vihar, Sector 22 and Sector 23A are close enough for weekday visits.
Online classes help in three cases here: a specialist who lives far away, the rainy weeks when the main gate floods, and exam months when an extra session at short notice is needed. See online tuition for Gurgaon students.
A coaching centre adds a batch and a fixed timetable but asks your child to travel. For students already enrolled in one, a home tutor fills gaps rather than repeating the class.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
What moves the figure for a Sector 23 family: the class and subject, the board, how far the tutor travels (a tutor from Palam Vihar has a shorter trip than one from Golf Course Road), the number of classes a week, and whether siblings share a session. Tutors price their own lessons on NXTutors, and the figure is in front of you before the free demo.
We could not source a public library in Sector 23. The community parks mapped across the sector are good for a short walk between study blocks. NoBroker's map also names a Sector 23 community centre, but we have no source for it offering study space, so we do not suggest it.

Sector 23 is a developed HUDA sector of plots, independent houses and builder floors, including three- and four-bedroom homes. It shares boundaries with Sector 23A, Sector 22 and Palam Vihar. The Old Delhi–Gurgaon Road and Carterpuri Road connect it to the rest of the city, and the Sector 23 HUDA market serves the neighbourhood.
For families, the tuition question here is less about distance and more about which way the tutor is coming from. Palam Vihar Halt railway station is close by. The nearest metro options, the Rapid Metro at Cyber City and IFFCO Chowk on the Yellow Line, are a drive away, so the metro rarely decides the choice. A tutor living in Palam Vihar, Sector 22 or 23A is close enough for classes four or five days a week, while one coming down from central Gurugram suits a two- or three-day plan. Home tutors from nearby sectors and online tutors are available on NXTutors, with a free demo class.
