Yes. A tutor can teach your child at home anywhere in Sector 10, from the lanes of Kadipur village to Vikas Nagar and the Urban Estate houses, or online if that suits you. Share the class, the board, the subject and your pocket with NXTutors. You get two or three matched tutors who travel to Sector 10 or teach online, each with the fee shown upfront. The opening class is a free demo, and moving to a different tutor later is also free.
Sector 10 sits where Pataudi Road meets Basai Road on the western side of Old Gurugram. It is busy, close to markets, and a long way from the working metro, so the tutor's route and the class time matter more than anything else.

Sector 10 is a mixed sector: homes, shops and small commercial buildings share the same streets. NoBroker lists Kadipur Village first among its sub-localities, with Vikas Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Shanti Nagar and Ravi Nagar alongside. Rental listings on the same page are mainly independent houses and standalone buildings, some described as Urban Estate plots near the civil hospital.
The older village core has tight, irregular lanes. Addresses here often lean on a shop, temple or chowk rather than a plot number, so a tutor needs a pinned location and the name of the nearest landmark. Kadipur Chowk, with its bus stop and the city bus depot, is the natural meeting point for a first visit.
Closer to the civil hospital on Basai Road, the plots are more regular. Many homes are independent houses or floors let out separately, so the tutor may need to know which floor and which entrance.
These colonies spread along the Pataudi Road side and towards Basai. Shops line the main roads, with houses behind them. One resident review on NoBroker notes that the building mix ranges from older small apartments to newer ones, so a tutor may be heading to a ground-floor house one day and a third-floor flat the next.
There are few society gates and no single clubhouse. The family handles directions, parking and the welcome at the door, and the tutor's route matters more than the sector name. A home two lanes off a main junction is a much easier visit than one right on it, which a reviewer also points out about daily noise and congestion.
Public reviews of Sector 10 on property portals raise a handful of recurring themes. Here they are as practical tuition advice.
Almost every tutor reaches Sector 10 by road. The nearest working metro, IFFCO Chowk on the Yellow Line, is about 8.7 km away on NoBroker's figures, and the nearest railway station, Basai Dhankot, is about 4.3 km. Neither is close enough to walk from.
Gurugram's city buses run out of a depot at Kadipur Chowk, and NoBroker lists the Sector 10, Kadipur Chowk and Civil Hospital stops. A tutor without a vehicle can reach the main road this way and walk a short distance in.
The first phase of Gurugram Metro Line 2, on which civil work began in November 2025, lists a "Sector 10" station along with Basai and Hero Honda Chowk. Until it opens, a tutor who relies on the metro will still finish the trip by road.
The easiest visits are short ones. A tutor based in Sector 9, Sector 10A or Kadipur itself can often take a slot straight after school, move a class by an hour when your child has a test, or add a Saturday session without much planning. Someone from Golf Course Road or Sohna Road can still be the right teacher, but expect a fixed slot that dodges the peak, and possibly one online session a week.
When you send a request, mention the nearest chowk and whether a car can reach your door. That one line tells us which tutors' routes will work.
Every tutor who joins NXTutors goes through an ID check: a one-time code on phone or email, plus a government photo ID our team reviews. The tutor checks page explains it. It is not a police or background check, so use the demo to see how the tutor works with your child.
Families who prefer a woman tutor can ask for one in the request, and we will match only women who travel to Sector 10 or teach online.
The boards that come up for Sector 10 are CBSE, ICSE and ISC, and the Haryana state board. No school on our approved list is in Sector 10 itself; the nearest is Blue Bells Model School in Sector 4, Urban Estate, which follows CBSE. We work with no school, and the tutor follows your child's own syllabus and books.
For CBSE students, our CBSE home tutors in Gurgaon page sets out what a board-focused tutor covers. If you are weighing boards for a younger child, the guide to CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE compares them in one place.
For small children, a tutor who lives close matters most, because short, frequent sessions only work when travel is short too. Look for someone from Sector 9, 10A or within Kadipur who can come three or four afternoons a week. Phonics, reading, handwriting and tables are the core. Our primary home tutors page explains what a junior tutor does in a session.
Homework support turns into concept teaching here. Ask the tutor to cover maths and science but to leave one session a fortnight for English writing, which school projects start to demand. For reading and grammar, see our English tutors in Gurgaon.
Separate subject tutors become common. Fix the slot around school timings and any tuition already running, and ask each tutor how they will divide the syllabus across the year before the pre-boards. Keep one session a month for timed written practice.
Stream choice decides the tutor. Science students may need separate physics, chemistry and maths or biology tutors; commerce students often look for accountancy and economics together. Specialists may live across the city, so a mix of home and online sessions saves them the drive on Pataudi Road. Our Class 12 home tuition page shows how senior-class matching works.
If your child goes to entrance coaching, share its timetable. The home tutor should then concentrate on school subjects and board practice, at a slot that does not collide with coaching.
Take exam dates only from the boards' own websites (CBSE, CISCE, Cambridge, IB) and from the National Testing Agency for JEE Main and NEET (UG). Dates passed around informally are often wrong.
For Sector 10 the local factor is road time. In the weeks before pre-boards, move one regular session online so the tutor can give a longer, unhurried revision block without crossing the evening traffic twice.
Home tuition suits Sector 10 because most homes have direct door access and nearby sectors supply tutors. It is the easiest way to keep a young child's routine steady.
Online tuition helps when the right specialist lives far away or when Pataudi Road traffic makes a visit unreliable. It also works for IB or IGCSE help, where the choice of tutors is wider online.
A coaching centre suits a student who wants group pace and frequent tests. Weigh the daily travel from a busy junction before signing up, and consider a home tutor for school subjects if the centre focuses on entrance exams.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Tutors set their own rates, and you see them before the demo. In Sector 10 the main things that shift a fee are:
Before regular lessons start, write down the fee, the number of classes a month and what happens when a class is missed on either side.
We could not source a public library inside Sector 10. OpenStreetMap shows a district library on the Sadar Bazar side of Old Gurugram, listed as open 10 am to 5 pm from Saturday to Thursday; confirm the hours before going. For most children here, a quiet room at home, away from the street side, remains the place to study.

Sector 10 mixes homes with shops and small commercial buildings. Around it are older settlements such as Kadipur village, Vikas Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Shanti Nagar and Ravi Nagar, and the planned Sectors 9, 7 and 11. Housing is mostly independent houses, builder floors and some apartments, usually of one to three bedrooms. Pataudi Road and Old Railway Road are the main routes out, and the busier junctions can be slow at peak times.
For a family choosing a tutor, the practical questions are where the tutor starts and when the class begins. IFFCO Chowk metro is a drive away and Basai Dhankot railway station a short drive, so almost every home tutor comes by road. A tutor from Sector 9, 10A or Kadipur can be flexible with timing. Someone crossing from central Gurugram usually needs a fixed slot planned around the evening rush. Home tutors from nearby sectors and online tutors are available on NXTutors, with a free demo class.
