Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Yes. A home tutor can come to your house in Sector 22, or your child can learn online. Send NXTutors the class, board and subject, and say which part of the sector you live in: the 22A or 22B plotted pocket, the older Mulahera lanes, or an apartment complex such as Ambience Creacions or Gurgaon One. We reply with two or three matched tutors who travel to Sector 22 or teach online, and each tutor's fee is on the table before you book anything. You pay nothing for the demo lesson, and a later change of tutor is also free.
Sector 22 has no working metro station inside it, so tutors reach you by road, mostly along the Old Delhi Gurgaon Road, Palam Vihar Road or Major Sushil Aima Marg. Most of the planning advice on this page follows from that.
| What | Sector 22 |

| Main roads | Old Delhi Gurgaon Road, Major Sushil Aima Marg, Palam Vihar Road, Jwala Mill Marg |

| Metro today | None inside the sector; tutors finish the trip by road |
| Metro planned | Sector 22 and Udyog Vihar Phase 4 appear as stations on the second phase of Gurugram Metro Line 2, still under planning with no date |

Sector 22 is not one uniform block. OpenStreetMap divides it into a planned HUDA pocket and the older village area of Mulahera, with a smaller residential patch called Noble Enclave near the Old Delhi Gurgaon Road. Property portals then describe the planned part as two halves, 22A and 22B, and add a handful of apartment complexes to that picture. Each kind of home asks something slightly different of a tutor on the first visit.
Square Yards and NoBroker both describe builder floors and independent houses on plots as the main housing here. There is no tower gate, so the tutor rings your bell directly. The catch is that house numbers in a plotted sector are only useful once someone is in the right lane, so naming 22A or 22B, and the nearest park or the sector market, matters more than the house number itself.
Mulahera is mapped as a locality inside the sector boundary, and portal listings around it mention standalone buildings and rooms to let near a vegetable market. Lanes in a village area are narrower and less regular than in the HUDA grid. For a family here, a live location pin sent on WhatsApp before the demo does more than any written address.
Square Yards lists six named projects in the sector. Ambience Creacions (OpenStreetMap tags it as an apartment complex near Palam Vihar Road) and Alphacorp Gurgaon One 22 are the larger gated names; AWHO Apartments is listed under the Army Welfare Housing Organisation, Hansmukhi Deep Residency and JMD The Park Way are smaller blocks, and Ansal Continental Villas is a villa project. In these, the tutor deals with a guard desk first, which changes how you book the first class (see the logistics section below).
Because the sector sits right next to Udyog Vihar and the Maruti Suzuki plant, offices and factory gates are part of daily traffic. That matters for one thing above all: the hour you choose for tuition.
We read public portal reviews of Sector 22 to see what residents raise most often. We do not quote anyone; these are the recurring themes, turned into planning points for tuition.
None of this stops home tuition. It just means the time slot and the back-up plan deserve more thought here than the subject list.
Almost every tutor comes by road. OpenStreetMap shows four roads doing the work around the sector:
There is no metro station in Sector 22 today. Tutors who use the Rapid Metro or the Yellow Line still need an auto, cab or two-wheeler for the last leg. The Gurugram Metro Line 2 plan does list stations named Sector 22 and Udyog Vihar Ph4 on its second phase toward Cyber City, but that phase is shown as under planning with no opening date, so do not plan this year's tuition around it.
NoBroker's map names bus stops at Sector-22 Market, Krishna Chowk and Palam Vihar Chowk. If your tutor travels by bus, the market stop is the easiest place to say "I'll meet you here" for the first visit.
A practical rule: a tutor already working in Palam Vihar, Sector 21, 23 or 23A can usually manage several weekday evenings. Someone coming from Golf Course Road or Sohna Road is better suited to two or three classes a week, with online sessions in between.
The first visit goes differently depending on your housing type.
Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check by our team, and you can read how we check tutors. It is an identity check, not a police or background check, so do what you would do with any new visitor: an adult at home for the first class, a room with the door open for younger children, and payment only after you have decided to continue.
Families who want a woman tutor for home classes can say so in the request; we include that in the match and tell you if the choice near Sector 22 is thin, so you can decide between waiting, widening the area or going online.
Requests from this corner of Old Gurugram cover CBSE, ICSE and ISC, and also IB, IGCSE or the Haryana board. Children in one building can follow different boards, and in a builder floor two siblings sometimes do too, so name each child's board separately when you ask for a tutor.
What changes for a home tutor is mainly the books and the marking style, not the visit. A CBSE home tutor in Gurgaon will work from NCERT books and board sample papers; an ICSE tutor expects longer written answers. For a side-by-side view of all four boards, read our guide to CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE.
At this age a tutor's job is reading, handwriting, tables and homework habits. Shorter classes, three or four times a week, suit young children better than one long session. In a plotted house with a quiet ground-floor room, that routine is easy to set; in a flat, a fixed table away from the television helps. See primary home tutors in Gurgaon.
Maths and science get more abstract here, and English writing starts to be marked more closely. One tutor for maths and science is common at this stage, which keeps the number of visitors to your home down.
These two years need the steadiest plan. A tutor should know the board pattern and work through past papers, not only the textbook. Ask at the demo how the tutor will test your child each month and how they will tell you about it.
Subject choice drives the search. Physics, chemistry, maths, accountancy and economics usually need separate specialists, and some of them may come from farther away. A mix of home and online classes is often the practical answer.
For students who attend a coaching centre, the home tutor's job is to fill gaps and keep board marks steady. Agree days that do not clash with the coaching timetable, and ask the tutor how they handle doubts between classes.
Winter is board-exam preparation time for CBSE, CISCE and state-board students. From 2026, CBSE holds two Class 10 board examinations, the second optional for improving scores, so some Class 10 students keep revising into the spring. If your child is in that group, ask the tutor to plan for both before you agree a schedule.
Monsoon is the other season to plan for here, not because of exams but because of the roads. Book the online fallback early.
Home tuition works well in Sector 22 because most homes are a short drive from Palam Vihar and the sectors along the Old Delhi Gurgaon Road, where many tutors already teach. Younger children, and older ones who lose focus on a screen, tend to do well with it.
Online tuition makes sense when the subject needs a specialist who is far away, or when evening traffic makes punctual visits unlikely. Some families here combine the two: home classes on two days, online on the rest. See online tutors for Gurgaon students.
A coaching centre gives a fixed timetable and a peer group, but the travel is on your child. For a student who already attends one, a home tutor is usually a support, not a replacement.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Within that range, a few things move the fee for a family in Sector 22. Class and subject come first: senior science and international boards cost more. The tutor's travel time is next; a tutor from Palam Vihar or Sector 23 may quote differently from one who drives in from the southern sectors. The number of classes a week, the class length, and whether two siblings share a session also change the total.
Tutors on NXTutors set their own fees, and you see each fee before the free demo. Nothing is charged for the demo or for switching tutor.
We could not find a sourced public library inside Sector 22. OpenStreetMap does map neighbourhood parks, including a large public green on the side toward Sectors 23 and 23A, which are good for a walk between study blocks rather than for study itself. For a quiet desk, the home is still the usual answer.

Sector 22 is in the northern part of the city, near the Old Delhi–Gurgaon Road, and is split into 22A and 22B. Much of it is independent houses and builder floors, and it has its own neighbourhood market. Sector 21, Sector 23, Sector 23A and Palam Vihar are its closest neighbours, with Udyog Vihar a short drive away. NH-48 and the Dwarka Expressway are both a short drive away.
Because 22A and 22B are separate pockets, give a tutor the exact block, not just "Sector 22". The nearest rail options are the Palam Vihar and Bijwasan stations, and the Rapid Metro at Cyber City is a drive away, so tutors mostly come by road. Distances within this cluster of sectors (21, 22, 23, 23A and Palam Vihar) are short, so a tutor based in any of them can usually manage weekday evenings. Home tutors from nearby sectors and online tutors are available on NXTutors, with a free demo class.
