Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 21 is at the city's northern edge, on the Old Delhi–Gurgaon Road beside Dundahera and the office campuses there. Access roads, not distance, are what decide how easily a tutor reaches you, so this guide spends time on routes.

NoBroker describes Sector 21 as a dense, mixed-use residential and commercial sector, and Square Yards counts Suncity and Unitech among the developers active in it, alongside homes managed by the residents' welfare association. Homes are mainly apartments and builder floors of one to three bedrooms.
Residents give directions by pocket. Square Yards mentions Pockets C and D by name, and the live NXTutors page mentions Pocket E. Inside a pocket, the house or flat number follows its own sequence, so "Pocket D" plus the number is far more useful to a tutor than "Sector 21".
OpenStreetMap places the Unitech Infospace SEZ and its food court, a Candor food court and the Suncity Trade Tower inside the sector boundary, and NoBroker lists Candor TechSpace about 2 km away. This is a working district by day; residential lanes sit behind it.
Dundahera, a census town on Wikipedia, sits right beside the sector and lends its name to the bus stops and to Dundahera Road. Dundahera landmarks, such as the Hanuman Mandir, are handy when you direct visitors.
The Sector 21 Shopping Complex is the local market on the map. NoBroker also lists the Ayyappa Temple, the Shri Hanuman Mandir, Sector 21 Park and a HUDA park among the sector's landmarks, any of which works as a pointer for a tutor.
NoBroker reviews and the Square Yards summary keep returning to roads and timing. Here they are as practical advice.
Most tutors reach Sector 21 by road. The question is which road, because the sector's access is less direct than its position on the map suggests.
Tutors from the older Gurugram sectors to the south, and from Palam Vihar and Sector 23, usually come up the Old Delhi–Gurgaon Road. Because there is no direct wide access road from it, they turn in through Dundahera. Name the turn and the first landmark after it.
Tutors coming from the Cyber City and NH-48 side may use Shankar Chowk Road. Outside rush hour this is quick; at peak times it is the slowest part of the trip.
NoBroker lists the Rapid Metro's Cyber City station about 3.2 km away. The Rapid Metro loops through Cyber City and links to the Yellow Line at Sikanderpur, so a tutor travelling from elsewhere in the city can change there and finish by auto or cab.
Bus stops named Dundahera, Hanuman Mandir Dundahera and Candor IT SEZ Sector-22 are close. Bijwasan railway station, across the Delhi border near Kapashera, is listed about 4 km away; few tutors use it, but it matters for those who live on that side.
Your pocket letter, house or flat number, the turn you want the tutor to take, and one landmark: the shopping complex, the Hanuman Mandir, the Ayyappa Temple or the Suncity Trade Tower.
Anyone who joins NXTutors as a tutor has to pass an ID check made up of a one-time code and a government photo ID that our team reviews; this page explains it. It is not a police check, so have an adult at home, keep the door of the study room open and meet the tutor in person at the demo.
To request a woman tutor, say so in your request and we will shortlist only women tutors who travel to Sector 21 or teach online.
Tutors who travel to Sector 21 may be asked for CBSE, ICSE or ISC, the Haryana board, IB or Cambridge. None of the schools on our approved list is in Sector 21; the one in the Old Gurugram zone is Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4, Urban Estate, which follows CBSE. NXTutors has no arrangement with any school.
In apartments and builder floors, space for a study table is often tight, which matters more for CISCE and senior science students who work with longer written answers and diagrams. Agree a fixed desk with good light before the first class. Our ICSE tutors in Gurgaon page covers CISCE, and the board comparison sets all four side by side.
Young children need short, regular sessions. A tutor from a neighbouring sector such as Sector 22 or Sector 23 can come three or four times a week without Shankar Chowk getting in the way. Ask for reading aloud and number games, not just homework help.
Middle-school maths and science benefit from one steady tutor who knows the child's school pattern. Keep the slot after the office rush, so lessons start on time.
Move to subject tutors if one subject is falling behind. Ask the tutor to plan around the school's test calendar and to set at least one full paper a month in the board year.
Senior science and commerce students often combine a nearby home tutor with an online specialist. For students aiming at engineering, our JEE home tutors in Gurgaon can plan entrance work alongside school; for medicine, see NEET tutors.
Where two children in one flat need help, ask the tutor to teach them one after the other on the same evening. The tutor makes a single trip through Dundahera or Shankar Chowk instead of two, which helps the timetable hold through the term. If the children are far apart in age, two shorter sessions with a ten-minute gap work better than one long joint session.
With office campuses next door, some parents in Sector 21 return home late. If you want to meet the tutor regularly, keep one weekend session each month at a time you can sit in for the last ten minutes.
Board timetables come from the boards themselves: CBSE, CISCE, the Haryana board, IB and Cambridge. JEE Main and NEET (UG) schedules come from the National Testing Agency. Rely on those sites only.
Locally, winter evenings bring slower roads and poorer air, just as revision peaks. Book extra sessions early, and keep the longest revision sessions online or on weekend mornings when the office traffic is absent.
Once the admit card shows your child's exam centre, drive the route from your pocket at the same weekday hour. With the Dundahera detour and Shankar Chowk in play, knowing the real travel time removes one worry from the exam morning.
Home tuition suits young children and students who need structure at their own desk. It runs most smoothly here when the tutor lives close enough to avoid Shankar Chowk at peak hours.
Online tuition is often the practical choice for senior specialists, for winter weeks and for days when office traffic clogs the internal roads. Some families mix the two.
A centre suits students who want group pace and regular tests. Count the real travel time from your pocket at the class hour, including the detour through Dundahera, before you sign up.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Within that range, a Sector 21 family's fee depends on the class and board, how many subjects, sessions per week, the tutor's travel and the roads involved, and whether you need a senior or entrance specialist. A tutor living in a neighbouring sector has a shorter trip than one coming through Shankar Chowk.
You see every matched tutor's fee before the demo; the demo is free and later switching is free.
NoBroker lists Sector 21 Park and a HUDA park among the sector's landmarks, and OpenStreetMap marks a small park with a badminton court near the Candor campus. We found no public library to source inside the sector, so these suit a short break rather than a study session.
See the Old Gurugram zone guide for the whole area and the Gurugram page for the city.

Sector 21 sits on the Old Delhi–Gurgaon Road, close to Dundahera and the Delhi–Gurugram border. It is a busy, mixed-use area with a large number of residents, where apartments and builder floors stand among shops. It borders Palam Vihar, Sector 18 and Sector 22, and its pockets, such as Pocket E, are how most residents give directions.
Its position near the border is useful when choosing a tutor. Candidates can come from the Gurugram sectors on this side of NH-48 or from the Dwarka side of Delhi; a Dwarka tutor may be closer than one in south Gurugram. Cyber City Rapid Metro station is close by and Bijwasan railway station a short drive. The Old Delhi–Gurgaon Road carries heavy traffic in the evening, so settle on a class time that allows for it rather than cutting it fine. Home tutors from nearby sectors and online tutors are available on NXTutors, with a free demo class.
