Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Our listing names this page "Sector 56 RWA Pockets". Sector 56 is a sector of plotted houses, builder floors and cooperative group housing societies between Golf Course Road and Golf Course Extension Road, with the Sector 55–56 Rapid Metro station on its edge. Because the page covers many small societies rather than one gated project, the most useful thing you can give a tutor is your exact society and block. For the rest of the city, see the Gurugram page.

Sector 56 is a numbered urban-estate sector of Gurugram. Map data marks a HUDA Park, a HUDA Community Centre on Metro Mall Road and a Huda Market Road running through it, names that point to the state urban development authority's role in laying it out. Property guides describe a mixed sector: high-rise and mid-rise apartment blocks, independent houses on plots, and builder floors.
Much of the apartment housing is in cooperative group housing societies (CGHS). Property portals list, among others, HEWO Apartments, The Castle society, Kanchanjanga Tower, Park View Apartments, New Anand Apartments and a HUDA CGHS block in the sector, mostly 3 and 4 BHK flats in ready buildings. Kendriya Vihar, a residential complex on the Sector 56–61 side, has its own page on NXTutors. This page is meant for every other pocket: the cooperative blocks, the plotted lanes and the smaller societies that families describe by their RWA rather than by a developer's brand.
A cooperative society in Sector 56 is usually a few towers or blocks behind one gate, smaller than the big private townships on Golf Course Extension Road. Lessons tend to happen in a quiet bedroom or at the dining table of a 3 BHK flat. In a plotted house or builder floor, the tutor rings the bell at the street door rather than signing in at a guard post, and parking is on the lane outside.
Older societies also mean older lifts and narrower parking. Tell the tutor which block, which floor, and whether the lift serves your floor, so the first visit does not start with a hunt for the right stairwell.
Public writing on Sector 56 is mostly from property portals, and it is short. The themes that come through still help when planning tuition.
The other questions are the ones every parent asks: will the tutor be regular, do they know the board, and can a senior subject be taught well at home? The sections below answer those for Sector 56.
Sector 56 is easier to reach than most of south Gurugram. The Sector 55–56 station, which opened on 31 March 2017, is the southern terminus of Rapid Metro Line 1. The line runs north along Golf Course Road through Sector 54 Chowk, Sector 53–54 and Sector 42–43 to Sikanderpur, where riders change to the Delhi Metro Yellow Line by a walkway. A tutor who lives near any of those stations can ride in and walk or take an auto from the station on Golf Course Road.
By road, the sector sits between Golf Course Road and Golf Course Extension Road, and its internal roads include Huda Market Road and Metro Mall Road. Tutors coming from Sushant Lok, the Sohna Road sectors or the Golf Course Extension Road societies arrive by road in a short drive. A metro line from Sector 56 to Panchgaon is planned, with its revised project report under review in September 2026, so do not count on it for now.
When matching, we start with board and subject, then look at tutors who list Sector 56 or neighbouring areas as places they travel to, then widen to the city. If the home options for your subject are thin, we will say so and offer online tutors instead.
Sector 56 has no single gate. Each cooperative society in the sector sets its own visitor rules, and a plotted lane may have no guard at all, so the arrangements differ from one pocket to the next. A short plan avoids a confused first visit:
Tutors who join go through an ID check: phone confirmation and a government photo ID that our team reviews. Read how we check tutors. This is not a police check, so meet the tutor at the demo and use your own judgement. If you would like a woman tutor, mention it in the request.
Sector 56 sits between schools that follow different boards. On our approved list, the nearest are Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Sector 62 (CBSE), Lancers International School in Sector 53 (IB and Cambridge IGCSE) and Scottish High International School in Sector 57 (IB, Cambridge IGCSE and ICSE/ISC). We have no tie-up with any school; tutors simply follow your child's board, class and books.
Because the neighbourhood mixes boards, say clearly which one your child follows: an ICSE home tutor and an IGCSE tutor prepare students in quite different ways. For the differences in depth, read CBSE vs ICSE vs IB vs IGCSE: which board.
Primary lessons are short, so a tutor from Sector 56 itself or a neighbouring sector is ideal. Reading, spelling, times tables and a calm homework routine are the priorities. Two or three lessons a week is usually enough at this age.
Middle school is when differences between boards start to show in textbooks, homework and the way answers are marked. Choose a tutor who has taught your board at this level, not just the subject.
A Class 9 home tutor who builds solid algebra and science foundations makes Class 10 much easier. Plan the board year backwards: syllabus done by autumn, then revision and timed papers. Good road and metro links make it practical to have separate maths and science tutors if your child needs both.
Senior science needs specialists. A physics home tutor for ISC, CBSE or IB DP is easier to find here than in the far sectors, because the metro and main roads bring in tutors from across the Golf Course Road belt. Commerce subjects such as accountancy and economics follow the same pattern, and the same road and metro links help bring those tutors to your door.
For entrance exams and international curricula, combine a specialist (home or online) with school-level support where needed. Ask each tutor how they will track progress month by month.
Each board runs to its own calendar: CBSE early in the year, CISCE on its published ICSE and ISC timetable, IB in May and November, and Cambridge in March, June and November series. Check dates only on the board's site.
Locally, plan for evening traffic on Golf Course Extension Road in the months before exams, and for the monsoon if your child sits a November IB or Cambridge series. Book extra sessions early, before tutors' evenings fill up with other students' revision.
Home tuition suits younger children and any student who needs a tutor to watch the working. In a cooperative flat or a builder floor, it also means the child is not travelling after school.
Online tuition is a strong choice for IB, IGCSE, senior science and entrance preparation, and for rainy weeks. It widens the choice to tutors across India.
Coaching centres on Golf Course Road and Sohna Road are within reach of Sector 56 by road or metro, which makes a centre more practical here than in Gurugram's far sectors. Many families combine a centre for entrance practice with a home tutor for school subjects. Tell us what you are considering and we will suggest tutors for each part.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Tutors set their own fees, and you see them before the demo. What moves a fee: the class (senior classes take more preparation), the board (IB and IGCSE ask more of a tutor), the subject, the length and number of sessions, and travel. Sector 56's metro and road links help here, because more tutors can reach you without a long journey.
At the demo, ask how the tutor charges, what happens to a cancelled lesson, and whether online lessons are priced differently. Changing tutor later is free.
HUDA Park inside Sector 56 is a calm place for a walk between study sessions, though not a place for lessons. The HUDA Community Centre on Metro Mall Road is a community building; whether a room can be used for study is for its managers to decide, so ask before planning anything there. Most families keep tuition at home.
Each link opens the Gurugram page for that board, subject or class. Tell us you are in RWA Pockets and we look for tutors who can reach you, or teach online.
