Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 44 is mostly offices and a large hospital, with homes in Kanhai Colony and on residential plots between them. That makes the hour of the class the main decision for a tutor coming here. NXTutors suggests two or three matched home or online tutors, shows each fee before a free demo class, and lets you move to a different tutor later at no cost. Its hospital stands opposite Millennium City Centre, the Yellow Line terminus, so tutors without a car can reach it too.
| Topic | Sector 44 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Central Gurugram |
| Character | Institutional area of corporate offices and standalone office buildings, with homes in between |
| Homes | Kanhai Colony; residential plots and builder floors; some apartments |
| Landmark | Fortis Memorial Research Institute, opposite Millennium City Centre |
| Metro | Millennium City Centre (Yellow Line), about 2.2 km by one portal and walkable from some plots; IFFCO Chowk about 2.8 km |
| Roads | Netaji Subhash Marg, Sector 44 Road; Golf Course Road and MG Road close by |
| Bus stops | Kanhaiya Colony, Sector 43/44, Huda Metro |
| Next to | Sector 45, Sector 52, Sushant Lok Phase 1; Kanhai village and Ardee City nearby |
Sector 44 is known mainly as an institutional sector. Office listings describe large corporate offices next to smaller standalone buildings, many of them run as managed or coworking space. Fortis Memorial Research Institute, a multi-speciality hospital, sits in the sector opposite Millennium City Centre and beside Netaji Subhash Marg.
The homes are in pockets. Kanhai Colony is one: business listings give addresses on Sector 44 Road, Kanhai Colony, Sector 44, and Wikipedia places the older Kanhai village close to Ardee City, Sector 45, Sector 44 and Sushant Lok. Around it are residential plots that come up for resale on property portals, builder floors on those plots, and some apartment listings. Rentals range from single rooms to large floors.
For a tutor the result is a sector of two halves. In the office half, the roads are wide but crowded at the start and end of the working day. In the residential half, especially in Kanhai Colony, lanes are narrower and house numbers can be hard to read, so a landmark and a pin matter.
The live NXTutors page for Sector 44 already notes that office traffic shapes class times. This guide adds the detail: which entry to give the tutor, how the metro helps, and how to set up the class whether you live on a plot or in a Kanhai lane.
Paraphrased from public resident reviews on property portals, the recurring themes are:
The Yellow Line ends at Millennium City Centre in Sector 29, and the hospital in Sector 44 stands opposite it. Office listings say some Sector 44 plots are within walking distance of the station; others are a short auto ride. IFFCO Chowk, the station before, is around 2.8 km away. A tutor coming from Delhi can therefore reach many Sector 44 homes without a car.
Netaji Subhash Marg runs past the hospital, and Sector 44 Road runs through the Kanhai side. Golf Course Road and MG Road are close, so tutors from the DLF phases and Sushant Lok can drive in quickly outside peak hours. City buses stop at Kanhaiya Colony, Sector 43/44 and Huda Metro.
Tutors who live in Sector 45, Sector 52, Sushant Lok Phase 1, Kanhai or Ardee City are a short ride away. For frequent primary classes, ask us to prefer this ring.
The Gurugram Metro corridor under construction from Millennium City Centre lists Sector 45 as its next station, which will add another option close by. We do not assume an opening date.
Tutors on two-wheelers often manage the office-hour roads better than those in cars, but they need a safe place to park, and app cabs can be slow to arrive at the start of the evening rush. If you know the quickest turn into your lane, write it down once and send it with the first-class message; tutors keep such notes.
Whatever the route, give the tutor the exact entry: the hospital side, the Kanhai Colony side or a named office building nearby.
Few Sector 44 homes have society gates, so arrival is simple but depends on your directions.
Tutors who join go through an ID check by our team, explained on how we check tutors on NXTutors. It is not a police or background check, so use the free demo, with a parent present, to judge the tutor yourself. You may also ask for a woman tutor; see woman home tutors in Gurgaon.
In an office sector, the week has a shape: busy mornings, quieter middays, busy evenings, calmer weekends. A tuition plan that follows that shape is easier to keep than one that fights it. These are sample patterns, not rules; your tutor will suggest their own.
| Stage | A pattern that fits Sector 44 |
|---|---|
| Primary | Three or four short home classes after school, before the evening office rush, from a tutor in the nearby ring |
| Middle school | Two home classes on weekdays after the rush, plus a short weekend check of homework |
| Classes 9 and 10 | One long weekend home class for new chapters and one or two weekday online classes for practice |
| Classes 11 and 12 | Separate subject tutors; home classes on weekends, online on weekdays, past papers in the final term |
| IB or IGCSE | A tutor arriving by metro for a weekly home class, with online sessions around coursework deadlines |
Whatever pattern you choose, keep it steady for at least a month before judging it. Changing the slot every week is the most common reason tuition drifts, and in a sector where the roads change by the hour, a fixed slot also lets the tutor learn the quickest way in.
Across Central Gurugram, families ask about CBSE and ICSE, and about IB and IGCSE when a child attends an international school elsewhere in the city. In Sector 44, the metro link changes the picture for international boards: an IB or IGCSE tutor who lives in Delhi or along the Yellow Line can reach many homes here without a long drive, so home classes stay realistic even for less common boards.
Delhi Public School Gurgaon, in neighbouring Sector 45, is the one school on our approved list in this zone; it follows CBSE, and we name it only as a reference point. For IB help see IB tutors in Gurgaon, and for a side-by-side view of the boards read the CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE guide.
Choose a tutor from the nearby ring for short, frequent classes at a time when the roads are calm. Ask what the tutor does when a child is tired after school; a good primary tutor changes the activity rather than pushing on.
This is a good stage to set study habits: a homework diary, a weekly test, a tidy notebook. One tutor for maths and science is usually enough until Class 8.
Board-year students benefit from a fixed weekly plan with past papers in the last term. Our Class 10 tutors in Gurugram page is filtered by subject and board.
Specialists per subject are the norm. Because of the metro, Sector 44 families can draw on tutors from further away than most Central Gurugram sectors. Science students preparing for entrance exams can start with our JEE home tutors page.
Ask which syllabus years the tutor has taught, and whether they have helped with internal assessments or coursework. The official requirements are on ibo.org and cambridgeinternational.org.
Office traffic does not ease in exam months, so extra classes are easier on weekends or online. If the tutor uses the metro, keep extra classes close to the usual hour so the trip stays predictable. Board timetables come from cbse.gov.in and cisce.org, and entrance-exam notices from nta.ac.in.
Home tuition suits Sector 44 well because the metro and the neighbouring residential sectors give a wide choice of tutors who can arrive at a fixed hour. It is the obvious choice for younger children.
Online tuition is useful on weekdays when office traffic makes any trip slow, and for specialist subjects. A mix is common for senior students: home classes on weekends, online classes with Gurgaon tutors on weekdays.
A coaching centre adds a group and a fixed batch, but your child then faces the office-hour roads twice a day. If the child needs one-to-one correction, a tutor is the more direct route.
One more point applies in Sector 44 in particular. Because many homes here are rented and families sometimes move across the city mid-year, an online or mixed arrangement travels with you: the same tutor can continue after a move, even if the new address is out of their range for home visits. If you expect to move, say so at the start, and ask the tutor at the demo whether they would carry on online.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Tutors set their own fees, and NXTutors shows each fee before the demo. A quote depends on the class and board, the depth of the subject, the length and frequency of classes and the trip. A tutor who walks from the metro may quote differently from one who drives in at office hours. Ask whether tests, notes and doubt-clearing between classes are included.
Each link opens the Gurugram page for that board, subject or class. Tell us you are in Sector 44 and we look for tutors who can reach you, or teach online.

Sector 44 is known mainly as an institutional area of office buildings, but it has homes too. Kanhai Colony, a residential pocket of builder floors and rented flats, is part of it, and apartments and independent floors sit around it. Millennium City Centre metro station, the Yellow Line terminus, is close to most of the sector. Golf Course Road, MG Road and Sohna Road are close by, and Sector 45, Sector 52 and Sushant Lok Phase I are its neighbours.
With the metro this close, tutors travelling along the Yellow Line can reach it easily. The office area, however, brings heavy traffic at the start and end of the working day. If your home is in Kanhai or near the office blocks, a class that begins after the evening rush is easier to keep. Home tutors from nearby sectors and online tutors are available on NXTutors, with a free demo class.
