Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 39 joins three very different places: the old village of Jharsa, the Unitech Cyber Park office towers and a set of cooperative group-housing societies and builder floors. NXTutors matches a family here with two or three home or online tutors, shows every tutor's fee before a free demo class, and lets you switch tutor later at no cost. The tutor who suits you most is often the one whose route avoids the main junction on CH Bakhtawar Singh Road at the busy hour.
| Point | Sector 39 |
|---|---|
| NXTutors zone | Central Gurugram |
| Old settlement | Jharsa village, with Gurudwara Jharsa and an old Jain temple |
| Offices | Unitech Cyber Park, Towers A to D |
| Homes | Cooperative group-housing societies such as City Heights, Royal Court and Kedar Apartments; Housing Board Colony; builder floors and independent houses; Godrej Alira under construction |
| Junction to plan around | The main junction on CH Bakhtawar Singh Road |
| Other roads | Netaji Subhash Marg, Rani Avantibai Road |
| Metro now | Millennium City Centre, Yellow Line, about 4.5 km by one portal's estimate |
| Metro being built | A "Cyber Park" station on Phase 1 of the Gurugram Metro corridor |
The old settlement at the heart of Sector 39 is Jharsa. Wikipedia describes Jharsa as a village in Sector 39 and records that it was once the seat of a pargana, an administrative unit, in the Mughal and colonial period. Gurudwara Jharsa and a Jain temple whose idol Wikipedia dates to roughly 1450 to 1500 stand in the village, and both are well known to local drivers, which makes them useful when you give directions.
Around the village, the sector is a mix. Unitech Cyber Park, an office complex mapped with four towers, A to D, brings weekday office traffic. Next to it are cooperative group-housing societies, which property portals list under names such as City Heights, Royal Court, Kedar Apartments and Milan CGHS, and older residential pockets such as Housing Board Colony. Portals also list mid-rise apartments, builder floors, independent houses and paying-guest rooms.
A newer project is changing the skyline. Haryana RERA records show Godrej Alira at plot GH-01, Sector 39, and its architects describe a single residential tower set in landscaped grounds. It is still under construction, so it does not yet affect tuition, but it will add another gated address to the sector.
What this means for a tutor: a visit to a CGHS society means a gate and a register; a visit to Jharsa means narrow lanes and a landmark; a visit to a builder floor near the office towers means finding parking among office cars. Tell us which of the three you live in.
Public reviews on property portals give a fair picture of daily life here. Paraphrased, the recurring themes are these.
Reviewers also value the short walk to the cyber park offices and the nearby hospitals and markets. None of these points rules out home tuition; they decide the slot and the room.
Most tutors reach Sector 39 by road, and the entry point decides how long the trip takes.
This is the main road along the sector and the way to its main junction. It is direct for tutors coming from Sohna Road and the sectors south of it, but it carries hospital and office traffic, so allow a margin at peak times.
Tutors coming from the Sector 40 side, South City 1 or the Millennium City Centre end often use Netaji Subhash Marg. It suits homes on that side of the sector.
Tutors who live in Jharsa or in neighbouring Sector 40 can reach many Sector 39 homes on foot or by a short scooter ride. For a younger child with four or five classes a week, a tutor this close is worth asking for.
Millennium City Centre on the Yellow Line is the nearest working station; one portal puts it about 4.5 km away, so a metro rider finishes by auto. The Gurugram Metro corridor under construction lists a station named Cyber Park in its first phase, which should help tutors coming here once it runs. We do not assume a date.
Sector 39 asks for two different sets of arrangements.
Tutors who join go through an ID check by our team, described on how we verify tutors. It is not a police or background check, which is why the free demo, with a parent present, matters. Parents who prefer a woman tutor can ask for one, or browse female home tutors in Gurugram.
A new tutor needs a few weeks to learn how your child thinks, and the first month is the time to set the pattern. In Sector 39 a few local habits make that easier.
Families in societies sometimes share a tutor between two children in the same block. If you do this, keep the sessions separate, one child after the other, so each gets full attention; a joint session tends to slow down to the pace of the younger child.
Sector 39 families ask about CBSE and ICSE, and some need IB or IGCSE tutors for children at international schools elsewhere in the city. In Sector 39 the housing type matters for the tutor: a society flat with a quiet study room suits long senior sessions, while a busy builder floor near the office towers may suit shorter classes or an online session for written practice.
The only school on our approved list in this zone is Delhi Public School Gurgaon, Sector 45, a CBSE school; we mention it as a reference point only. Tell us your child's school board and textbooks. For CBSE help start at CBSE home tutors in Gurgaon, and compare the boards in our board guide.
The aim is a calm routine: reading aloud, tables, neat notebooks. A tutor from Jharsa or Sector 40 can visit often for short sessions, which suits small children better than two long weekly classes.
Children start meeting algebra, physics ideas and longer writing. Ask the tutor to keep a single notebook of errors, so you can see in one place what keeps going wrong.
Board preparation begins. A fixed weekday slot that avoids the junction at its busiest helps the tutor arrive on time week after week. Our Class 10 home tutors in Gurgaon page lists tutors by subject and board.
Science students often take separate tutors for physics, chemistry and maths. Commerce students may want accountancy and economics from one person. Because some specialists travel from across the city, many families use home classes for teaching and online classes for practice.
For entrance exams, the tutor should know the current pattern from nta.ac.in. For IB or IGCSE, ask which syllabus years they have taught; the official documents are on ibo.org and cambridgeinternational.org.
When board exams approach, extra classes are common, and extra classes mean more trips. Ask whether one of the extra sessions can be online, so the tutor is not crossing the junction twice in a day. Keep last year's papers and the school's sample papers ready. Dates come from the boards: see cbse.gov.in and cisce.org.
Home tuition works well in Sector 39 when a tutor lives close, in Jharsa, Sector 40 or the societies nearby. Online tuition makes sense when the right tutor lives far away, or when the junctions on CH Bakhtawar Singh Road make an evening trip uncertain. A coaching centre suits a student who wants a group and a fixed batch, but adds a daily trip for the child.
A mix often works well for older students: home for new chapters, online sessions with a Gurgaon tutor for tests and doubts. Tell us the balance you want and we match for it.
If you go online, set up the space as carefully as you would for a home visit. In a flat that faces a main road, a room at the back cuts the traffic noise that a microphone picks up. A phone stand or a second camera pointed at the notebook lets the tutor see working, not just answers. In a CGHS society with shared Wi-Fi, check the speed at the class hour, because evening use in a block can slow it down. And keep the same time each week; an online class that moves around is skipped more often than one that is fixed.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Fees are set by each tutor and shown to you ahead of the free demo. The things that change a quote are the class and board, how specialised the subject is, the length and number of sessions, and the trip. A tutor who walks over from Jharsa has a different cost of travel from one who drives in through the junction at rush hour. Ask whether the fee covers tests and printed notes, and how missed classes are handled.
Each link opens the Gurugram page for that board, subject or class. Tell us you are in Sector 39 and we look for tutors who can reach you, or teach online.

Sector 39 is a mid-budget residential sector in the south-central part of the city, between NH-48 and Sohna Road. Homes are mostly mid-rise apartments, builder floors and independent houses. CH Bakhtawar Singh Road runs along it, with Bakhtawar Chowk at one corner and a large hospital across the road. Sectors 31, 32, 38, 40, 44 and 46 surround it.
Office buildings in the sector bring weekday traffic, so evening timing matters more here than in a purely residential sector. Millennium City Centre metro is a drive away. Tutors who rely on the metro still need a road trip, while tutors from Sectors 40, 46 or 31 can use short internal roads. Families on the Sohna Road side can also consider tutors from the sectors off that road. Home tutors from nearby sectors and online tutors are available on NXTutors, with a free demo class.
