Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Yes, a tutor can teach at your home in DLF Phase 3 or online. Give NXTutors the class, board and subject, plus your block and house number (U, V, T or S Block, for example), and we suggest two or three matched tutors who travel to Phase 3 or teach online. You see every fee on the shortlist before booking, the first lesson is a free demo, and swapping to another tutor later costs nothing.
DLF Phase 3 is part of our Golf Course Road zone of Gurugram, though it sits at the Cyber City end, next to Nathupur. It has two Rapid Metro stops of its own and narrow residential lanes of builder floors, and both facts shape a weekly lesson here.

| Housing | Mostly independent builder floors on residential lanes, many split into smaller units or run as PGs; a few apartment complexes |

| Shops and leisure | Pink Town Market, Moulsari Arcade, DLF City Club, DLF Cyber Hub next door |

| School on our approved list | The Shri Ram School, Moulsari campus (V-37, Moulsari Avenue) |
On OpenStreetMap, DLF Phase 3 is laid out in lettered blocks. U Block takes up the western side around the Phase 3 metro station, and holds a gated pocket called Pink Town Houses with its own market. T Block and V Block run eastwards towards the DLF City Club, and S Block, mapped as Garden Estate, lies to the south. Nathupur, an older village area, sits between the blocks in Sector 24.
Most homes are builder floors on residential lanes, according to property guides. One guide notes that many floors here have been split into studios or one-bedroom units, some with separate entrances, and that a number of buildings run as PGs or co-living. It also points out that lanes vary a lot: some floors face a 12-metre road with stilt parking and a lift, while others sit on a 6-metre lane where two cars cannot pass. Brokersaathi adds that the area also has apartments and gated complexes.
A family home on a Phase 3 lane has no society guard, so the tutor comes straight to the building gate. But in a building with several units and separate doors, a new tutor can easily ring the wrong bell or climb the wrong staircase. Tell them the floor, the entrance and the name on your bell. In a smaller unit, the dining table usually becomes the desk; agree a time when the rest of the household is out or settled.
Streets here are busy from early morning, the same guide says, and green space is limited. A room on the quieter side of the building, away from the lane, usually makes a difference for a child who is easily distracted.
Few public reviews talk about tuition in DLF Phase 3, but property guides and news reports raise points that matter for it.
Then there are the questions every family asks: will the tutor be on time each week, do they know the board, and what is a fair fee? The next sections take each in turn.
DLF Phase 3 is one of the few parts of Gurugram with two metro stops inside or beside it, which widens the choice of tutors.
Phase 3 station stands in U Block, on OpenStreetMap at U-19, and Moulsari Avenue station is on Moulsari Road in Sector 25A. Both opened in November 2013 on the original Rapid Metro loop through Cyber City, which also serves DLF Phase 2, Belvedere Towers and Cyber City stations. From U Block, the station is only a short walk; from the far end of V or T Block it is closer to a kilometre and a half in a straight line, so a short auto ride may help.
Sikanderpur station connects the Rapid Metro with the Delhi Metro Yellow Line by a walkway. A tutor living along the Yellow Line can change there and ride the loop to Phase 3. The Rapid Metro is now operated by DMRC; check current timings before booking a very late lesson.
Brokersaathi notes quick links from Phase 3 to NH-48 and MG Road. On OpenStreetMap, the DLF Cyber City Flyover passes on the Sikanderpur side. A tutor from DLF Phase 2, Sikanderpur, Nathupur or Sector 24 has a short ride, but the last stretch on a narrow lane can be slow when cars are parked on both sides.
We do not give travel minutes. Ask each tutor which route they will take and at what hour, and pick a slot that suits their journey.
Unlike a tower society, most DLF Phase 3 homes have no guard to register a visitor with. That puts the arrival in your hands.
Keep an adult at home for every lesson and the study-room door open, particularly for younger children. If you would rather have a woman tutor, say so; we can look for a woman home tutor in Gurgaon for your subject and timing. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check: a one-time code on phone or email and a government photo ID that our team reviews. It is not a police or background check; see how tutors are checked and judge the teaching at the demo.
On our approved Gurugram school list, DLF Phase 3 has The Shri Ram School's Moulsari campus at V-37, Moulsari Avenue, which lists ICSE and ISC, Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma. Not far away in DLF City Phase 1, E-Block, Shiv Nadar School lists CBSE, IB MYP, Cambridge IGCSE and IB DP. Families in Phase 3 ask about CBSE, ICSE/ISC, IB and IGCSE. NXTutors has no tie-up with any school.
For a home tutor in a builder floor, the board mainly changes the books on the table: ICSE and ISC set their own prescribed texts for English and the languages, so give the tutor the list early. An ICSE home tutor in Gurgaon will ask for it at the demo. For the full side-by-side picture, read our board comparison for parents.
Keep lessons short and steady, at the same table and time each week. On a busy lane, an afternoon slot before the evening office traffic and deliveries begin is often quieter. If the household shares a building with tenants, choose the room furthest from the stairwell.
One tutor for Maths and Science is a common starting point. For ICSE students, English language and literature need attention from these years, because the prescribed texts grow heavier later. Ask the tutor to see the school notebook each week, not only the textbook.
Board preparation starts in Class 9 for ICSE and CBSE students alike, and for IGCSE students the Cambridge syllabus sets the pace. A Class 9 home tutor in Gurgaon can build the base before the board year. Two or three lessons of about 90 minutes a week leave time to teach and set a timed question.
Senior students in Phase 3 usually split the load, with one tutor per main subject. With a metro stop on the doorstep, a Phase 3 student can reach classes elsewhere by train, which frees a weekend slot for home lessons. Students aiming for engineering entrance exams often keep a home tutor for ISC or CBSE work and add specialist help; see JEE home tutors in Gurgaon.
ICSE, ISC and CBSE board exams fall early in the calendar year, with timetables on cisce.org and cbse.gov.in. For international boards, the IB Diploma has May and November sessions while Cambridge runs IGCSE series in March, June and November. Since the monsoon has flooded low-lying lanes here, plan any make-up sessions in the summer months with an online fallback ready.
A home tutor saves your child a journey and lets you follow progress closely. In Phase 3, it works well when the address is clear and the tutor has a parking spot or comes by metro.
Online lessons sidestep the lanes and the Cyber City traffic completely. They suit rain days, the run-up to exams, and IB, IGCSE or entrance specialists who live elsewhere. Many families here use online for one subject and home lessons for the rest.
A centre means your child travels. Two metro stops nearby make that easier from Phase 3 than from many neighbourhoods, but evening classes still end in the office rush. Weigh the travel time against what the centre adds.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Phase 3 tutors set their own fees, which appear on your shortlist before the demo.
What moves a fee: the class and board, the subject, lesson length and lessons per week. Travel matters too. A tutor who comes two metro stops from DLF Phase 2 has a light journey, while one who drives in at peak time and hunts for parking on a narrow lane may prefer longer lessons on fewer days.
To check a monthly figure, multiply the hourly fee by lesson length and lessons in the month, and ask about holidays, cancellations and extra exam sessions up front.
We found no public library in DLF Phase 3. OpenStreetMap shows Cyber Greens Park and S Block Park inside the area, and the Aravali Biodiversity Park, run by the Municipal Corporation, to the south-east; they are places for a walk between study sessions rather than for study. A quiet room at home remains the main study space.

DLF Phase 3 lies on the Cyber City side of the DLF phases, next to Nathupur and within reach of NH-48, so for a home tutor it behaves partly like the DLF phases and partly like the office district. Most homes are independent floors and apartments on residential lanes, where the tutor comes straight to the door, but the roads around the phase carry office traffic in the morning and again as offices empty.
That makes the tutor's starting point the first thing to check. Tutors who live in the DLF phases, Nathupur, Sikanderpur or Sectors 24 to 29 handle the office rush most easily, and one who has a class nearby just before yours is often more punctual than one leaving home. The Rapid Metro serves Cyber City, which helps a tutor who travels by train. If weekday evenings are impossible, weekend home classes plus online sessions during the week work well here.
DLF Phase 3 is part of our Golf Course Road zone, and the neighbouring MG Road and Cyber City zone lists more tutors who reach this side of the city. In a floor, agree where the tutor can park; in an apartment block, give the guard the tutor's name before the demo.
For Classes 9 and 10, families here most often ask for CBSE or ICSE maths and science; for Classes 11 and 12, a separate specialist per subject, which our Class 11 and Class 12 home tutors in Gurgaon pages explain. International-school students can start with IB or IGCSE tutors. See also DLF Phase 2 and DLF Phase 4.
We send two or three matched tutors, each with the fee shown before the free demo class, and switching tutor later is free. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
